Girl, same!! I pick one color and have that be my sims defining color. Their outfits aren't monochromatic or anything, but it helps me narrow down my options, and then it carries over into how I decorate their rooms/houses.
Me too! Mostly I randomize their favourite colour first and then carry on with that.
It just makes my life so much easier!

I think what we really need for hair is for all of them to have two swatch lines "roots" and "ends" with each hairstyle defining those however works for it so we can make our own dyed or natural gradient styles.

Giving sims a colour palatte is the only way to get Sims to have a cohesive wardrobe tbh. The selection of clothing we have in the Sims is so mismatched that it's impossible otherwise

Fun cold weather advice from Canada: you don't want to wear denim in the cold! It doesn't have proper insulation, and they'll sap your body heat and just make you even colder.
((Unless you get specialized insulated jeans with a wool lining))

@@helmickkm your best options for cold weather fabrics are wool, fleece, down, silk (as an under layer, cause its breathable), and nylon (for waterproofing against the snow). Where I live we also need two separate kinds of bed sheets: the light normal kind, and flannel or fleece for the cold

Kayla mentioning that the makeup customization would be nice for hair... I've never felt so validated. I'm still holding out hope for something like create a style for sims 4 but it might be too late :( oh well, I've been a clown for this long so I won't abandon the circus now.
I am always so jealous of the randomized last names in the English version of the Sims. I play my game in Czech and the name choices are so bad and limited.
One time I was playing Sims 3 and saw a sim who's name was Afrodita Bistrosraký xDDD

I'm glad I am not the only one who goes by color scheme when making sims. I made myself and used blue and greens for my outfits and such. I also made my best friend and gave her purples , blacks and reds as her color scheme .
I love that when lilsimsie makes Sims they all look different. Iike she uses different body types and facial features and skin tones. It's great!
They usually have very similar body types tbh

My best friend lives in Florida too. She came back to Massachusetts for a week in January I was like "But what will you wear? You don't have winter clothes."
Btw - she complained it was cold the whole time she was here, even though we where having warm weather of low 50's!
I once made an elderly 👵 sim named Gertrude Pumpernickel who loved “traditional” grandma stuff like knitting 🧶 cats 🐈 cooking/baking 🧁 gardening🪴 and was a [Redacted] (the Level 9 villain career).
When the evil chickens 🐓 came out in HOB, I wanted to get her one right away but she tragically died in a fire.
I love her. I am now attached.
Tho, I don’t really love the editing lately. I don’t mean that as in hate by the way, I mean that in the most light hearted “hey, just been thinking about this for a while” way. It’s really just a teeny tiny detail and it’s not that big of a deal, but is anyone else a little bit annoyed with how she sometimes says things twice? I get why you would do retakes and resay things to figure out how to word things, but i don’t really get why you’d keep in all of it. Again, this isn’t meant to be hate, it’s just been bothering me ever so slightly for a while :) perhaps Dan has been stressed or something, I dunno

So, I started playing the Sims on my stream, and I've never felt so good about something. I've had such a creative block in the Sims recently, but I literally finished new crest in a couple days after starting a lp on stream, and needing to fill the town lmao I'm just really proud of it all :)
I make sims more than I do builds...I have a tons of sims but the ones I with are the sims I get attached to and don't let them die or age lol

I do color schemes or signature pieces all the time. Like this sim has this favorite pair of jeans and I'll tie it into other outfits too. I think it just builds out their personalities to have some favorite things like style, pieces, or a color!

Jungle adventure has a dyed half up do that I always use for my sims with short died hair for athletic and swimwear

Kayla definitely has a type, so many sims have a quite similar body type and complexion. I feel seen.
10 years ago i had an all black cat called Cosmo, and he was goodest boy of all the spoilt cats i've ever had, and i'm glad to see he lives on in your Sims game

When i don't like the winter clothes they ofer, i take of the winter tag and find something long sleeves dress or so, and put leggins and boots and it looks amazing 🤭 and i pretend my sims live somewhere hotter and not so winter-y/snowy

When asked for a cat name my brain immediately went "SMITTENS!!" and now I need to make a cat called Smittens.
I enjoy watching Kayla try things out of her comfort zone because usually it's closer to my style and I end up there like "you're doing great honey!!" 😅🤣
I do the color thing too 🙈 it's not a hard rule but I make most of their outfits whatever color. Usually it's because there's some hair accessory that can't change the color of and I just run with it lol
I too occasionally get the urge to use Sims 4 CAS but then I get into it and start getting a headache from the lighting, the music, the lag, the voice acting, the animations, the user interface and the repressed but lurking knowledge that "this is it,this is the game." at which point I quit the game and feel a lot better. Similar things happen in build mode and don't get me started on actually trying to "play" the damn thing.
You did great Simsie, I also do the give them a color theme and just go with it for most of their outfits, and tbh I think that might be how some ppl dress irl, buy clothes of their fav. colors.

I pick a color for all my sims as well. I also give my sims at least 3 outfits for each category.

This is literally what I do when I'm bored, this and build mansions. My subjects I mean Sims are always fun to do.
She’s so cute! You have a good sense for color so the outfits look nice even if decorating Sims is outside of your comfort zone.

I like Daisy tho, I like seeing you make sims, it’s cool to see someone else’s process as someone who almost entirely plays in CAS and maybe plays in live mode for like… a week? Before getting bored and making a new family lol
I usually don’t even play in the same world a lot of the time, I start an entirely new game each time- I’m really bad at playing the Sims lol
Also to be fair, I do the same thing with color coordinating sims (most of the time I make sims green, brown, grayscale/black and white, or blue lol, mostly because those are the colors I wear and like aesthetically lol)
