I love that Stanley is THE defacto "Get Rich Quick" sim. Like, when the devs acknowledge him "turning hobbies into a florishing business," you know he's an icon, not just to simsie fan.
I'm kinda disappointed there's no negative ones. I would love to cut a gem that gives a sad aura. For those times when I want my sims to mourn a little longer, a sad aura would really come in handy. Again, why won't they let us cause suffering - life is pain and this is a life sim.
Or instead of having them all be just positive they could have one buff and one debuff. Like increases needs but decreases skillgain. That way they might not be completely overpowered
stanley hidden lore: he does quick rich schemes because he has a lot of dept he has to pay off and never gets to keep the money he makes. and he is always changing locations to avoid loan sharks, so he resorts to hobbies = money, he can do any job anywhere
A small tip for collecting gems and stones. Scientist career from Get to Work is the best for that, because around a laboratory (lot you get sent to when you join your sim when they go to work) spawns literally DOZENS of the rock things to mine and they respawn constantly
Exactly! I actually restarted the Not So Berry Challenge 2 days before the pack was to come out so I can have my Mint Gen Sim cut gems, and experiment a bit with the pack!
i have a mod where a spellcaster's familiar gives potion ingredients (which include crystals and metals) all the time XD having a scientist spellcaster would make this a breeze lol
If you click on "work late", your sim can spend the day doing their Scientist chores, then after their normal work time they can dig for gems. Also when they get a promotion in that career, you are given the option to "go home" which should mean your sim can stay and collect more things then, or work on the equipment to gain more skill.
The thing with Plopsy is, you have to use it for a longer period, the more you sell, the faster your things sell and the more money you make, if you just quickly wanna make money its not gonna work but if you really make it your sims career its really not that bad.
I was knitting so much stuff to max my knitting skill because I was aiming for that horrendous sweater-scarf-hat combo 😅😅 and I put all of my creations on Plopsy, made some decent amount of simoleons from it in the process, so that's a really good advice thank you ❤
I had my rancher sim paint as a hobby, partly because I wanted to paint my horses. To catch cute moments I had a bunch of easels everywhere outside. My ranch hand started painting in his free time too because the number of easels made the probability of doing anything else nil, and before long I had a ton of random paintings everywhere, turns out you can sell what your employees paint (or at least what the ranch hand paints I've never noticed that with a maid or nanny). So I started selling all his stuff and the fails my sim painted on plopsy. My rancher got rich long before my horses reliably brought in competition prizes.
I feel like the death proof gem only works on deaths that leave a body so they can be resurrected by just popping up off the ground. I also did a tiny home for my first gem crafter, so I had a Murphy bed, but it never smashed me to death lol
u should do a series where u use this version of stanley with the immortal necklace and try to complete every aspiration. idk if thats an insane ask but i feel like it would be fun to have a fully maxed out filthy rich immortal stanley
fun fact, if you take the charging grid to the forgotten grotto or that other fairy place in willowbrook, you get 24 charging, day and night your not just limited to night time
I think for the death one it only protects you from deaths where you have a body, so the revival animation can play. So cowplant and motherplant won't work

Stanley should try running a bakery!! I feel like that feature from Get To Work often gets ignored, but there’s a whole baking skill and all those like bakery fridges to lay things out in.
I thought the sim not dying thing just meant they were immortal like a vampire cuz in the life panel my sim had 99 days until adulthood. But vampires can still die of like being in the sun.

When I got into the Sims 20 years ago, I never dreamed there would be such a famous player-made sim. I’m so proud of Stanley, he’s a part of the lore now! 🤩❤️
I’ve learned that if you have a werewolf with all of the needs-based abilities unlocked, they can pretty happily live outdoors with no possessions. They can groom themselves, sleep on the ground, devour objects and hunt (they also happily heat raw meat/fish), so I think my favorite werewolf sim is going to me my go-to rags to riches tester.
When you set up a market in these tables... there is the option of sales introduction that does help and also the option to sell an specific item to an specific sim. this works for me and helps with charisma
not sure what you mean by sales introduction, the only two options i ever see are "convince to buy" and "give sales pitch". sales pitch never seems to actually help make them buy anything; they always leave right after. i only use convince to buy now, you earn charisma either way.
The sim still “dies” when they have hematite and that summons grim, but since they have the hematite in their inventory or around them, instead of the normal death cutscene a new one plays. the sim glows, flies into the air, and floats to the ground. other sims will clap for them to congratulate them
Everytime Stanley is about to get a nice house Kayla ends the video. He never get to enjoy the house when he’s the one that make all the money by himself 😂😂
Just have the Tiny Living and Crystal Creations Stuff Packs. Have a micro home, have a gemstone that has Plumbite and charged and do painting, woodworking etc. Imagine how many simoleons you can get in 2 sim-days🤩
I made it too easy in my game. :/ Made my sim a spellcaster, learned the copypasto, got one of each crystal and metal and cast spells as needed to create more resources as needed.

I assume that you can rotate charged jems around from the charging and working. Maybe you should have one need cheating gemstone charging and the other working so you never have to work in them It's broken 😂

This pack has really put in to perspective when the sims team fully gave up on putting collectable spots in the worlds. My sim is living in brindleton bay and its bare minimum i keep having to go to willow creek and oasis springs.
I just started using this pack and I'm glad i watched this. I was using it as a rags to riches playthrough and have yet to fully explore all the features. Now that i know how crytal charges work, my sim would be unkillable

if you want all the metals and crystals easy, just pick the get to work scientist career, and go to work with the sim. that place has at least 20 nodes around, and they keep respawning all the time.
Hey Kayla, I did a trial run with the sims can not die crystal and for some reason when a sim puts on the Jewelry sometimes, it for some reason will say "drained" as if it weren't charged, removing it and putting it back on seems to fix it. But when I tried it with the cowplants, it didn't work even fixing the "drained" bug and my sim died anyway, So I tried using a cut-gem instead and put it next to the cowplant, I tried it multiple times and every time my sim lived! so it seems wearing the jewelry doesn't work but the cut-gems do, which makes no sense lol
I think they lowkey incorporated a Steven universe reference to tie the table back to Stanley. “If every porkchop were perfect we wouldn’t have hotdogs”

I just started using this pack and I'm glad i watched this. I was using it as a rags to riches playthrough and have yet to fully explore all the features. Now that i know how crytal charges work, my sim would be unkillable

if you want all the metals and crystals easy, just pick the get to work scientist career, and go to work with the sim. that place has at least 20 nodes around, and they keep respawning all the time.

I did a trial run with the sims can not die crystal and for some reason when a sim puts on the Jewelry sometimes, it for some reason will say "drained" as if it weren't charged, removing it and putting it back on seems to fix it. But when I tried it with the cowplants, it didn't work even fixing the "drained" bug and my sim died anyway, So I tried using a cut-gem instead and put it next to the cowplant, I tried it multiple times and every time my sim lived! so it seems wearing the jewelry doesn't work but the cut-gems do, which makes no sense lol
