Your “chelsea” is def not a chelsea but if you post in one of those hoya groups on FB I’m sure they’ll be able to identify. Also your pubicalyx is the royal hawaiian purple variety. Sorry not trying to sound like a know it all, just wanted to help.
Thanks! I mentioned it was a royal Hawaiian purple in an older video and people came at me saying you can’t properly identify them until they bloom so I stopped saying that loool 🤷♀️
@@wildfern I’ve found my royal hawaiian (it was sold to me labeled as this so I trust it lol) puts off new leaves that are purple! Then once they harden they turn green. So that’s a good identifier too!

As much as I love the rarer hoyas, that krimson queen is GORGEOUS!! And just the regular green carnosa is a BEAST omg. Also, that's a definite yes on a hoya care video :) (but only if you want to!)
On general focus mode your camera is programmed to find the greatest contrasting thing in the frame (in this case it would be the black shelf on the white wall) and focus there.
Awwww I love the hoya kerri! Variegated or not I think they're beautiful once they start to vine 🥰 but the Hoya macrophylla albo-marginata is my favorite! Mine also has a neon leaf that I am in love with 😍
It's weird - I've heard mention of Hoya wayetii in multiple videos but I never saw one close enough to spot the black edges - It's gorgeous! Also - what are the little tags hanging off your pots?
Not sure if someone else has commented on this, but if you give your Macrophylla Albomarginata a bit more light, in addition to the white borders, you will see a pink/terra cotta/red margin develop at the very edge of the leaf outside of the white. A bit more light and you will see that same red color come out all over the leaf. My favorite feature of this Hoya is those red edges!

Omg..that Krimson Queen is fantastic, I have a very old and very large common green hoya I just love it. I recently bought a Hoya Princess and a Hindu Rope they aren't doing anything yet only had them for a month. I like watching little plants grow.
I know I might get some hate for this but I actually used to not like Hoya at allll in the beginning of the summer and then I found a teeny Hoya pubicalyx at a garage sale for 3$ and I had to have it. It has such cool speckled leaves and has grown 6 leaves for me in a matter of a few months so I’m doing something right! Now I have 3 hoyas and I like them all the sudden. So weird how we go in and out of not liking plants to liking them or vice versa

Hey! It's weird, I got a Shepperdii too, but I bought it as a Rosita (from the Netherlands to Italy)! I wrote the seller two days ago telling them I still want my Rositaaaa :D, still waiting for a reply, though.... :D Now I have my favorite Serpens, then: Carnosa Compacta, Australis, Australis Lisa, Krimson Queen and Princess and cuttings of Wayettii variegated, BTW I think you might have a variegated version which reverted but not totally? I don't know...

I recently got a huge Hoya Lacunosa and another Hoya that came as a freebie when I got my P. Red emerald, but I’m not sure what kind it is. I’m definitely loving hoyas so far!
Another great video, Fern! My only hoya is a pubicalyx that I've had for about 4 or 5 months. It had a long, empty tendril when I bought it. It did nothing for a few weeks, grew 3 new leaves then stopped again for the last 2 or 3 months. It's perfectly healthy but not growing. I added a grow light and moved her near a humidifier a couple of weeks ago but no change. Any ideas? A few days ago I bought an orchid spray in hopes that would help. Any ideas?
Yas, on the orchid spray! Just give it time past that. How often are you spraying orchid spray? I started and I'm seeing growth on a couple hoyas in my grow tent, i spray every other day on new cuttings. The package says weekly though....
@@carolynallen597 i watched a youtuber who said she lightly sprayed once daily but Im not sure about that frequency. So far I have seen positive results. I'm not over the moon about miracle gro but that is the brand that I've been using. I'm open to trying others. What brand are you using?

For some reason, it's rather difficult to find hoyas in Hong Kong. I suppose that's good. Since I discovered your channel a little while ago, I already bought 5 plants. But I would have thought that given how close to Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines we are, it would be easier to find hoyas in our local plant shops.
