Interesting how the location of the ancillaries varies: I have a '96 XJ 4 litre which is right hand drive, Japan spec. and I changed the water pump last weekend. On mine the aircon compressor is mounted very low down on the left side of the engine, above that is a substantial aluminium bracket holding the mechanical fan and above that is the power steering pump. The fan has a shroud of its own and to the right of the radiator is mounted the electric fan in its own shroud which is easily removed. The alternator is mounted high up on the right side of the engine and the alternator is used to adjust the belt tension. Just below the alternator are 2 idlers. Nothing is mounted on the water pump flange except the pulley.

Thanks for making this video. I have just finished replacing my 1997 RHD Grand Cherokee and the steps were almost identical (including the handy bucket step to catch the unexpected extra coolant :-) ). Thanks to this video I had a pretty good idea of what i was in for so things went to plan and she is now back in one piece and running.
