Thanks, I just purchased one of these G.E. dryers..Not to happy with it. What's the best setting for heat? Seems like you have to use more energy to dry clothes.
If you want higher heat and better drying, make sure ecodry is off. The downside like you said is It will be using more energy to dry after turning this off. If you are drying towels and jeans in the same load with the rest of your laundry, use a heavier setting like bulky, or jeans. On this particular model, there is an option to adjust the temperature, and how dry your clothes get as well. If you find your clothes still aren't drying, make sure not to overload your dryer. Hopefully this helps!

I have this same model and it says vent blocked. I already cleaned the vent and the rear exit and still same get the same vent blocked message. Any idea? Thank you
Have you tried unplugging the unit for 30-minutes and allowing it to reset? If so, you might want to consider reaching out to a local service team and schedule a service call.

Quick question, I just got this dryer brand new and when it runs there is a lot of noise coming from the bottom of the dryer is this normal? The noise is constant and it sounds metallic.
Double check to make sure nothing is caught in the front of the dryer drum. Sometimes things left in pockets of clothes can fly out and get stuck in the front or around the seams.

The cooling cycle can't be turned off. This helps reduce wrinkles, but also reduces the risk of a fire.
My dryer is on the lock setting and I cannot unlock it to get it to start drying. Do you have any advice on that?
Try unplugging your dryer to hard reset it. This should disengage the lock.

Hate my new ge dryer. No matter setting clothes damp. Wish id just used a clothes line. What a waste of money. And electricity. Great for power companies.

So basically my dryer is designed to break ever more. Just like the p.o.s vehicles being made the last 15 years or so.
