I could buy a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey take the middle and back rows out and shove a roof rack mounted tent on top for half the price of that. Oh and it'll be a V6
So instead of just taking the more luxurious V-Class Marco Polo, they took a Metris/Vito with all that plastic, modified it and sell it at the same price as a V-Class?
I own a 2019 mercedes-benz GLC350, very bad product, very bad service. No one helped me with the problem, and the new car was open for a month and repaired for four months. I haven't had a car to drive yet, and I haven't been offered a solution. Is that how you treat your customers? This would be much better if it was an all electric vehicle. Gas and diesel are OLD polluting technology. Time to move on to new technology electric vehicles.
While I am pro-electric for city/commuter cars, I believe electric would be a major sales and engineering mistake. Most campgrounds and all national parks in the United States tend to be located far from population centers. Imagine running out of energy in the middle of Yellowstone. This requires range that would exceed the limits of current battery capabilities. This, combined with the efficiencies of primarily high way driving, make ICE the best option for a platform like this. I would probably feel differently if I was in Europe due to compactness of the geography.
Gas stations are everywhere, How is a homeless person going to find a charge station if they are camping away from city centers??? Besides most of the electricity in USA still comes from burning fossil fuels/natural gas/biofuel, etc!
@@oskarngo9138 Electricity outlets are EVERYWHERE. You can charge with 130 volts, 240 volts or higher. AS far as the grid is concerned it gets cleaner every year as more coal power plants go off line and get replaced with wind and solar energy.
To all the peasants out there complaining this starts 70k...its not for you for the same reason a 250k sedan, 100k SUV, or a 20k watch is not for you. That's because you have more common sense than money and not the other way around.
Is Toyota or Honda going to make a cheaper more reliable camper van?
Got to get one when the next Great Recession hits!
It needs to be 4matic, with a mild lift for some softroading (like the European version) and 45k.

If that’s the case, they’ve priced it way too high and it won’t sell. Unless that includes the rear pullout kitchen.
Top 2 car reviewers are: Chris Harris and Craig Cole !! 😀
70k too much

I thought Van life is supposed to be affordable, NVM then back to my refrigerator box cardboard life.

70K will buy you a GAS Class A RV.
All they had to do was follow the iconic westfilla model and they would have had a winner...pullout rear kitchen? 70k+...sorry, I'll have to pass.
