When my girlfriend tells that I am not excited to meet her like before. I explained her the law of biological accommodation of stimulus

I’m sure there is a mathematical equation to actually find out the odds. However, I’m way to fuckin stupid to know where to find it

At 58, injury prevention is high priority. Since following your work I have added a ton of variability to my workouts. Still like to hit it hard but vary grip widths, reps, lifts, etc and feeling better than ever and still making gains. Some of the trouble spots (shoulder pain) I have had for years are gone.

Another good one matt, I've been doing your trainheroic program for a month now while I save up $$ for the more personal online coaching and I love the variability. It's helping take my mindset away from just hyper focusing on numbers and more towards balanced strength and health :)

Underestimated gold again. Rep ranges too if you tend to do the same exercises. I change rep range every week. even by 1 rep adds a new stimulus. Law of accommodation and stimulus to fatigue ratio are linked.

How do you feel about Mixing in strongman with the big 3? I feel like the log press doesn’t hurt my shoulders like straight bar and weighted carries seem to help strech my delta in a position that also makes the shoulders feel good

I've resistance trained many 90-100+ year old folks and man they accommodate radically different but the principles remain the same.

The Law of Accomodation is fine to think about, until you end up with worn-out joints. A person cannot get stronger beyond a certain point.

Hi sir. If I apply microloading by adding 2.5 lbs. plates on my deadlift on each side every week, does that negate the law of accomodation despite using the same deadlift?

He did the same exercises, that doesn’t make it the same exact workout. You can do the same exercises every workout while adjusting volume and intensity and it makes it a complete different stimulus. I doubt Ronnie was rowing the exact same weight for the exact same volume for 15 years.

People say Dave Tate is The Godfather of Powerlifting. If that’s the case, Matt is pantomath of Powerlifting.
