Please excuse any audio inconsistencies regarding my voice level and acoustics, I finished all the initial recordings of my lines in my college dorms but ended up redoing a couple lines after I had moved back home for the summer after college ended a couple days later. The acoustics in the two rooms were slightly different but hopefully, it isn't too noticeable.

To let you know about Alien Hominid, he can fire multiple blaster shots per jump, not just one - and you can even fire them while on a wall, so you can get pretty insane height boosts with him.
Also, this video is great! I'm really excited to see the next installment, and this inspired me to try the challenge myself! (I got to 5x-5 before things went downhill)
Speaking of alien hominid remember that one level where he used his second reroll because he couldn’t beat it? Well I tried that level with that character and beat it because while the keys on the conveyer belts do drop the keys you actually don’t need to take them to get the keys that unlock bandage girl, using alien hominids insane hight potential you can get the necessary keys without grabbing the ones that drop them, granted I did this on the console version but it proves that it is possible!

Honestly Flywrench is my favourite character, idk why but i like his funky wall climb.
He plays so weird but works perfect for some levels
Same for me -I'm pretty sure I've beaten every level as him before in both light and dark (there might have been a couple of dark world levels I didn't do as him, I can't remember). Either way, he's usually my first choice as a character. :)

Personally, I think that you should've given yourself a more friendly reroll system.
- One reroll per world in addition to three global rerolls. The world reroll is world-specific, and doesn't carry over. This means that if you don't use it, then you can't save it up. Global rerolls, if used, will remain used up, but will be saved for later if not used.
- Another method (Maybe combined with the above?) would be that if you run out of rerolls that you can go back to a previous level that you had to reroll on and complete it with the original character, then you get the reroll back.
- If you land on the same character twice, then it wouldn't count as a seperate reroll.
3:53 fun fact: meat boy actually isn't made of meat. He just doesn't have any skin which makes it look like he is made out of meat. And this makes even more sense when you consider why he's dating bandage girl (And it's probably the reason why he can't touch the salt in the salt factory)

I like how humble you are about the fact that some people may not accept the re-rolls and that that’s okay, but wanted to press on regardless, it made me want to continue watching even if the fundamental core of the challenge was bent a little bit.

I love how you explain stuff in each video as if the viewer is totally inexperienced yet summarized enough that it doesn’t eat up a considerable portion of the video. The first video in this series in the light world was great hearing about where each character came from as well as how they compare to meat boy, especially as someone who has never played the game but loves challenge runs.
Just wanted to pass on some appreciation for your efforts and talents :) .... p.s. subscribed, good luck in college, I look forward to the future of the channel

Wait what? For 3-7, I had to use Alien Hominid to A+ it! If you ignore the first conveyer belt and use jumps instead, it's easy!

The last video literally got me back into super meat boy and I finally beat it.
That's awesome to hear! It's an amazing game that I feel everyone should try at least once if they enjoy video games. It's a childhood favorite of mine and I just love sharing how fun it is with others.

there exists a tool that lets you choose a character on locked character levels. it was used in another run on yt with only ogmo, maybe that is worth looking into (if you dont hate this challenge yet)

3-7 is possible. If you laser jump to get the second key, then spam press the laser, and then if you go on the conveyor on the right, and if you shoot the laser after leaving the conveyor, you don't have to grab the third key to get the fourth key.
Pretty sad that these are the only videos that get views but they’re really good!

19:41 from what i could see you probably can beat this level with alien hominid as that perfect jump actually jumps high enough to reach the 2nd key without having to pick up the first one so you can skip the first key to get the 2nd one.
PS: I havent played meat boy in a long time and if you need both then just go back after getting the 2nd key and get the first and just do another perfect jump
(This tech should apply for both jumps)

I just found out the amazing fact that, on Steam, more people have BEATEN THE GAME than unlocked Flywrench. Considering you can get him in world 4, that’s just amazing

Ogmo and The Kid have a pretty broken double jump ability considering if you wall jump on half of a block you can gain extra distance since you still have two jumps left, you can also do the same if you slide off of a wall and run off of a platform. I actually beat Level 18 of Hell's Dark World while getting the bandage, using Ogmo's broken double jump because I missed the moving platform.
man you definitely should play and make a video about swordbounce its the most challenging game i have ever played and the struggles you had with flywrench reminded me of that game
I think flywrench acts like a heavy character, basically they have shorter jumps and less speed than any other character, their special ability is that they are better at wall jumps because they can quickly climb walls
So basically,
Fast example: runman, captain video game, the kid
Medium example: meatboy, alien hominid
Heavy example: flywrench, headcrab

The video seems to have some stuttering issues during gameplay, which is a bit unfortunate (and probably already mentioned by other commenters).
RIP your first reroll, that level is definitely not doable with Viridian, not without some Steve inspired ceiling blocks.
Level 7 of Dark Salt can actually be done with Alien Hominid, as there’s only one level he cannot do (somewhere in dark rapture). Here’s my friend’s proof of it: ruclips.net/video/qprZN6vaOgY/видео.html
22:40 You can actually squeeze through the sawblades gaps with headcrab too, but your method is awesome as well!
23:10 Flywrench also can sneak under the blades and make the missile less an issue, just don’t take too long or the cycles reset under you!

If I did the challenge, I would not have rerolls, I would allow glitches instead of rerolls.
With Alien Hominid you can spam the bullets in a timely manner.

In level 19 world 1, if you go up the "mountain" of where you start, you can make a big jump to skip half of the level

Did you know if you jump and pause the game at the same exact time, Josef will receive a huge jump boost with his power. You should definitely try it sometime, It makes Josef super broken. It also works for everyone else but it will perform as an auto jump.
I think it was mentioned in the light world video that both Auto-Jump and Josephs super jump are banned.
