As someone who autocrosses my 2019 SI. I would've rather wanted to see a slightly longer gearing. In autocrossing I find myself shifting to 3rd gear often. Second gear tops out at 57mph. There is a lot more time to be gained by saving the second to third gear shift. Could probably get under 6 seconds to 60mph.

@@williamsaad6833 I drive a 17 Canadian Si and it fascinates me how different the Canadian version is this generation.
The differences are actually summed up in that the US model is based on an Ex-T, where the Canadian Si was a touring model with the safety sensors removed. The actual reasoning iirc was that civics are significantly more popular in canada and they have to add in a little more value to keep it relevant up here.
also fun fact, Canadian civics in general have a 2x larger windshield washer tank and is placed on the driver side. Incredibly underrated feature that I can dump over a gallon of washer fluid once the low indicator shows up (which apparently is also a Canadian thing).

I bought a 2017 Si sedan when they first came out. It is a decent performer and gets exceptional gas mileage -- typically get 45mpg on trips. The Si replaced a 2005 S2000 and I consider it a reasonable compromise that is more pleasant to drive on trips and fits my TREK bicycle in the back with the front wheel off. I regret that they changed the final drive because the current ratio puts the car at 3000 rpm at 80 and the mileage is a bonus as opposed to a marginal performance increase which I don't need. I was disappointed by the local Honda dealer's service at 30K miles. They tried to sell me a service which included BG additives that pushed the basic Honda required cost of $550.00 to over $800.00. I the think the basic Honda service is way overpriced at $550.00. I have not experienced the oil dilution problem, but live in a hot climate which may make the difference. Honda sent me a letter which extended the warrant of affect engine items to 6 years with unlimited mileage. Thd SI is a performance bargain in my opinion.

I really really like this new refreshed 2020 especially in this red (probably white too, black would look too blacked out), however I don't think I could trade it in for this due to the fact that the k24 is such a fun and naturally amazing sounding engine. The SI gets my attention, but the fact that you can get a Type R for not a lot more (provided they still aren't getting massively marked up) makes this car a moot point. A crappy infotainment system also hurts. As compared to the GTI or GLI, those are better deals if you can accept the lower reliability of any German car. Plus the passenger visor isn't capable of moving and VW also decided that the power button icon moves with the knob.

Normally I'm in agreement with just about everything Sofyan says. However I have to disagree on the wheels and the Honda sensing. I despise the a-symmetrical wheels on my 19 Si and love these black matte ones! And I'm personally thrilled I don't have a $700 higher MSRP for boomer tech that interferes with my driving experience. My fiance has fwd collision in her '13 accord exL and it goes off constantly.
I still wish Honda would have addressed the cheap armrest cloth that always looks dirty. Still my biggest gripe with mine and a HUGE oversight.

Nice video. One thing...you might consider replacing the camera that hangs down between the front seats facing forward...it can't handle the dynamic range in lighting between the interior/dash and the outside world thru the windshield...the outside world just gets blown out quite frequently. Anyway, something to think about. Not sure what sensor size would handle that, but you could start at micro four thirds. But in any case, content is king and you are doing a great job with good content.
