Thanks for the feedback but the set up I run is perfect for what I do with it. The shocks work great for trailing (I do not race this rig). The 550's are a great mix of power and speed that I have no complaints about. With duel batteries I get a good 45 min of run time and once again since I don't race is great for bashing and trailing. And as far as the gears go the stock gears stripped out long ago but the nylon ones are still going strong. I like my set up for what I do with it. But thanks!
This is a really good looking truck, those shocks are beastly compared to what I run on my race trucks, the way the truck flexs is insane. I gotta comment though on your choice of electronics. I know you said you didn't really wanna do the brushless thing because of it being older gears. However, my modified Terminator race truck as well as my Diablo race truck both run virtually stock gearboxes. I run Castle motors going to duel ESC's Y-Harnessed together and have had little to no problem breaking or tearing a gear up. Granted though, I run castle 2 pole motors in both trucks, and got them before castle started selling strictly 4 pole motors. The 4 poles have more torque, which could hurt the gearbox.
To go brushless you will need 2 brushless esc's running in series and also 2 brushless motors. Its a bit of a task to get them both tuned in to work together but once its going it will be a rocket!
Nice rig. After seeing this, and a couple of your other vids involving your Clod. You've given me the motivation to drag my (original) Clod out from under the bed, and completely re-vamp it. Thank you for sharing your vid. Now, where to find the Terminator chassis? Not a lot of Hobby shops here in New Zealand. But there's always the good 'ol web. Best regards' Del
Glad to hear it Del! The Clod Is a great old rig. Look up on the web Crawford performance engineering. That's where you can purchase the fine chassis they have to offer. :) Glad you enjoyed the vids!
What shocks do you recommend for these clods Zilla chassees please comment back I am very intrested thank you very much nice truck what other type of trucks do you have do you have any king Blackfoot RC trucks please let me now thank you
I have a whole bunch of opinions on your setup, shocks are too long, dual batts are a mistake, and 550 cans are overkill. But the biggest thing is get rid of those integy gears, they are weaker than the stock gears.
When you twisted that thing,I couldn't believe the flex. Nice job MAN !
Great vid! I just bought a Terminator chassis and Mudslinger tires for a clod project I'm building with my son.
Nice truck and video. Thank you for sharing.
Nice looking clod. I just got back into clods after a long time out. I like how yours looks.
Excellent presentation !

thats insane articulation
I run the batteries on the top and bottom of the cassis plate using super strong velcro and a battery strap for more support. It works like a charm :)

Hey look, it's my old terminator. Ironically, when that truck was first built, it was dual brushless. :)

Thank you Mr RcTommy. Just for the hell of it, check out my Kyosho Twin Force vids. Frickin amazing basher

I run two castle brushless 3800 kv motors in my super clodbuster it handles very well I run two nmh batterys two
Yeah those 1/8th scale shocks make a huge difference.
How do you mount your electronics to that chassis?
What other RC trucks do you have
Awesome clod. Wondering where you run your batteries in that chassis?
To run a brushless motor on a clod do all the electricals have to be brushless?
What shocks do you recommend for these clods Zilla chassees please comment back I am very intrested thank you very much nice truck what other type of trucks do you have do you have any king Blackfoot RC trucks please let me now thank you
Are these chassis still available?
I assume you meant the tires are pretty heavy & better for bashing than racing, and not the chassis right?
What part of Ohio are you from? We'll be doing MT racing near me this summer, and we really need a few more guys...
This is true :)
I am about to make a clod from cpe too.. talk about fun!!
You can't go wrong with a cpe chassis. They in my opinion are top notch!
