That's a very nice truck. I Had the same truck. Ran a Novak Crusher and a Novak 550 Ballistic on 4s. Fun truck. I just did an SMT10. I used SSD Axles on that one with Vanquish trans and gears and all that. Ran a Holmes Hobbies Servo. Those are monsters. Also ran a Mamba X w/2850kv Slate motor and the Jconcepts Renegades on the Tribute wheels. These damn things get expensive fast. Newest project TRX-4. I also live in Michigan. I go to Larrys there by you every now and then.
That is a awesome monster truck, and you're right you can't beat vanquished products. I need ur help I need to get a truck like this, trigger king informed me that the competitions they do my traxxas Bigfoot couldn't run n that I needed a truck like the smt10. I can't really find many trucks like it besides smt10 n redcat ground pounder, can u lmk what trucks to look up
Steve Declark most of the trucks are built around custom chassis with either clodbuster axles, or some other solid axles such as the axial ar60s. Your slash is independent suspension. Check out trigger king to get an idea of the rules and trucks people use.

Chris Watson I actually am building one now, I’m gonna make a vid on my channel of it. I bought the ground pounder chassis,jconcepts firestorms tires n jconcepts wheels, brushless motor esc combo, two tactic servos, freestyle rc axle protectors, 93 f250 jconcepts body, n more stuff. I can’t wait to start this build just waiting on a couple things to come in. I’m also trading a guy on FB my hpi blitz sct for a clodbuster so I will have a retro truck too. Damn that must be hard and expensive building a custom truck having to order all the different parts but looks definitely worth it. Great job man.

not sure if you have this truck still or not but use a scale disc brake over the servo arm to perfectly match the look of a monster truck.
