Ingredients
(210mm x 110mm loaf pan)
(A) Yeast mixture:-
1. 165ml Warm milk
2. 5g ( 1 tsp ) Caster sugar
3. 3g ( 1 tsp ) Instant dried yeast
(B) Dough:-
1. 220g ( 1 1/2 cup ) Bread flour
2. 15g ( 1 tbsp ) Caster sugar
3. 2g ( 1 tsp ) Salt
4. 1 tbsp Milk powder
5. 15g ( 1 tbsp ) Soften butter
Bake in preheated 165°C ~ 190°C oven for 20 ~ 25 minutes.
Baking time & temperature may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven. You may need to adjust your oven temperature accordingly. Хобби

We've been making bread the past few days using this recipe adjusting it a little by using less salt and baking in small round buns. Thank you for this great recipe!
1 tsp salt was too salty for me. I'm making again with less salt this time.
Same here .. 1st time i added salt as per the recipe, it was a bit salty. 2nd time reduced it to half and got the preferred taste...

I made this a few hours ago (first try) and it was soo good! My mom is usually pretty picky about food and if she didn’t like the taste of something, she wouldn’t finish it. But to my suprise, she finished one and ask for another. She said she really liked how it tasted! My brothers also really like it and asked for another slice.
FYI, I preheated the oven at 170*c and baked it at 180*c for 30-35 minutes. It was already pretty brown on top at minute 25 but I decided to bake it longer. It was incredibly soft and tasted like those bakery style milk bread. Also, I didn’t have milk powder so I added 1 more tbsp of milk to the wet ingredients. I used cake flour instead of bread flour (I forgot to buy bread flour) and so the dough was very wet. I ended up adding 1-2 more tbsp of flour gradually and it was still very sticky but in the end, it was very good! Thanks for the recipe!

i dont have a stand mixer. i merely mixed everything with a spoon and kneaded for 4 mins with my hand. this turned out amazing and easy. the first time i made bread 5 years ago it took long and came out like a rock. today it took 5 mins and came out soft and beautiful. could eat this by itself. this has to be a magic.
The end, when she’s pulling the bread apart w her hands, is so satisfying. I’m gonna try this today as a quarantine activity

EpicLaith You’re right. In the description it says one and a half cups flour. In the video it says one cup flour. It should be 1 cup flour. Baked it both ways. The one cup flour turned out way better

Turns out the apocalypse has been a wonderful time to learn new & useful skills, such as... bread making! After watching dozens of videos on how to make loaf-style bread to use for items like sandwiches, I decided on a milk-style bread for its inherent softness. I went with this recipe and I am so glad I did! Even though I am unable to find bread flour in my rural grocery stores, this worked out perfectly well using unbleached all-purpose flour. In fact, I made 2 loafs the 1st day as my family devoured the 1st loaf with plain butter! I brushed my 2nd with egg wash halfway through & sprinkled sesame seeds on it... delicious! Thanks for helping a newbie learn to make this delicious bread!👍

I followed this recipe today. My bread turned out to be soft and tasty. Only thing I changed to cut down upon my prep time was that after kneading I made small rolls immediately and allowed it to raise in my baking pan after which it directly goes into oven.
I've been using this recipe since the lockdown and it never fails to amaze me.
Ps. I use honey instead of sugar

Hi prettylittlecakes, if you don't have bread flour then you can use all purpose flour, but texture of bread might not be as chewy as using bread flour.
i tried making this bc every store ran out of bread and it tastes really good! since i dont have a dough hook i had to hand knead it though it didnt turn out elastic but i just went ahead with it and it still worked! im making the 2nd batch now :)

I add a little more yeast, (up to 2 tsp total) and when it rises in the loaf pan I let it get to 1 inch above the pan then bake it.

I never bought bread. It's very different when you make bread at home, the taste is different and healthy and you know what's in it. I make 6 loaves of bread and the rest of my loaves i stored it in the refrigerator. And it can last 3 weeks up to 1 month. Unlike you bought it at store the shelf life of bread is very short. If you forget that you bought a bread at store and then it's too late to remember the expiration date its like your throwing a money on the garbage. Healthy lifestyles healthy living....🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
How does your bread last in the fridge for a month without it getting hard?
@@sunnysekely9631 3 weeks up to 1 month still soft but not as soft as the 2nd week. And i try to toast it in a few seconds in the sandwich toaster because i want to see and to know the quality of the bread that i make and i notice it back to soft again. The reason why i preserved it in the fridge because of hot and humid temperature here in my country that is why i have to experiment more. 3 weeks up to 1 month my bread doesn't have any molds. I preserve my bread in the lower space in the fridge shall we say i hide it. 3 weeks up to 1 month the taste is still the same. I don't add any single chemical to my bread in order to preserve it. Here in my country the quality of the bread here is very low. I don't like the taste and the smell and the color.
Hello Genevieve! Have you ever tried storing this type of bread in the freezer? and then you defrost it in the microwave? If so, does it work as well as storing this in the fridge? I also live in a hot country.
@@x1807BRAx Hello to you! I never try storing my bread in the freezer. I only stored my bread in the lower part of the fridge, and that's enough cold for me to preserve my bread. Even after 3 weeks or 1 month my bread doesn't spoil. I have some leftover bread and i intensionally preserve it in the fridge just to observe my own homemade bread on when to get spoil.

I just made this!!! Only took 3 hours, but it was sooo worth it. I omitted the milk flour because I didn’t have it, and I used grapeseed oil instead of the softened butter. Put in oiled glass bread pan, baked 335° for 20 min (turning after 10 minutes). Oiled the top of the bread then covered immediately. Yummm!!

Made this today turned out great, I love the texture of the bread. I messed up a bit with my dough though, because mine did not rise as high as the one in the video but nevertheless it was delicious.

I dont think you messed up. Mine was too small for this size of loaf pan too. I had to double the recipe to get the size of bread shown in this video. Even though the recipe is nice, I don't think it is right for this size of pan. My dough ball turned out far smaller than what was shown and the bread was far smaller. For this size of pan I had to double the amount to make my bread the size the video shows. And after a closer look I saw that the dough size is smaller at the start of the video but when it is being rolled out after the proving, the dough size is almost double. This is impossible. After proving when you press out the air, the dough goes back to it's original size. It's strange that others did not experience the same problem as I did because of the misguiding video!

I finally did it, I baked this with wholemeal bread flour! I doubled the recipe. 1 cup wmeal and 2 cup white bread flour. As you suggested, my milk was 350 ml. The dough was sticky a bit difficult and took longer to knead compared to the original but it came out fluffy, soft and delicious. Thank you so much! My fav bread recipe.
what is 350 ml in cups?
@@phkookie 250ml is 1 cup. I'm guessing about 1 1/3 cup is 350ml. I'm sorry not too sure.
