Good stuff, thanks for sharing. Just bought a condo that I intend on renting out down the road after I give the place an overhaul so videos like this help tremendously for the projects I'm not to familiar with. Routine maintenance like this will keep things operating effectively and save money in the long run.
When we bought the place the smell from the dishwasher was awful. After watching this video I went through step by step and what a difference! It's like brand new again. I was blown away at the buildup in the hoses and I can't stress enough the importance of routine maintenance. Already put a reminder on my calendar 6 months from now for the next service ;)
Thanks again my man! Much love and respect. 👊

Great tips. I run CLR through the dishwasher (as per CLR directions) every so often also.

The part you're cleaning @3:00 comes off, prob a bunch of crap built up under it.

Exactly! That’s probably the dirtiest part.

Thanks for taking the time to post this! I hope it helps. One thing though: I don't seem to have an air gap on my sink. Could it be somewhere else, or do I just not have one? Thanks!

Didn’t bother to take off the lower filter assembly. There is usually stale water and gunk underneath that entire filter.

I just realized this video is OLD!!! How are you today, sir??

I replaced the air gap with an actual soap dispenser. Would that be an issue when using my dishwasher??

    • @rbr266h

That should not be a problem. The air gap cover is normally the only thing replaced when installing an air gap soap dispenser. It should not impede air gap performance at all.
