It seems Appleyards are getting a reputation for not returning calls. They lost a £4500 sale to me last year for not calling me back when promised. I went to another dealer instead. PS I was riding out there yesterday, we are privileged to have such glorious roads to ride. In my youth I have climbed at Kilnsey. I still ride past it in awe.
I don't like to be cynical, but here I go anyway... A guy with 12K+ RUclips subscribers makes a video saying that he can't get an accessory for his CF Moto after waiting for months, and he immediately gets a call saying, "Oh yeah, it's here, it's here - just an oversight - really sorry about that." Doesn't matter whether it's true or not, because the great majority of shlubs have the bike but don't have a successful YT channel, and those poor guys are suffering from poor service either from the dealer, or the manufacturer (who is, in my opinion, ultimately responsible for the competency and professionalism of their dealers). An apology was not in order; a further dressing down WAS the order of the day. I think that if you were contacted by the company after you released the video and they said something like, "We apologize, but we want you to know that these are the supply chain issues we're having, and we're working to correct them as soon as possible", then an apology, or communication of that message to the viewers would be great. I think the CF Moto products seem to be really neat, but what just transpired regarding your center stand was a big pile of shite. You know what I'm driving at? Thank you for the video. Listening to the clunk of the gearchange on the MG reminds me of an R100RT I had for 18 years......are you taking up the slack with the gearlever before making the change ? It always lessened the clunk on my old BM. Still a great bike though........
V7 Guzzi special edition... took several months to get OE centre stand delivered to.... NW Canada 🇨🇦... all ok because the snow hadn't melted yet 😅 I think the point is that "we" can get third party parts quicker and at lower cost than OE parts and often at far lower prices (eg GIVI, HEPCO-BECKER, etc) This seems to be the same situation for all M/C Manufacturers (for me Triumph and Moto Guzzi) Again, please flip your V7 mirrors outwards....the roads aren't that narrow 😊 Kilnsey Crag reminded me when we arrived at a nearby Inn, we'd booked in for dinner, but fell asleep after a long ride, missed dinner and fortunately the local chippy was open!
Hi could you tell me who or how you found out about the recall. I bought the 800mt from appalyards in July. In fact, it was the demonstrator that you used. Brilliant bike, but I've got a big tour coming up in the New Year and want to make sure all is OK.
Every time I see the speedo cluster on your Moto Guzzi I think it is a liquid filled gauge that is only half full. I'm sure I waste a lot of scenery looking time staring at it.
I got given the artificial horizon for a spitfire in bits by the chap who owns RR232. He'd taken it apart and it's not straight forward to put back together. It's the dial I'd like in the middle along with a compass.
Well I’ve been waiting 4 months for a RE rear rack for my 2024 Bullet 350 and they can’t even confirm if they still make or have it available anymore. It is just slightly different from the Classic 350, which did not fit.
CF moto stuff is, in my opinion fine if you only want it to last 5 years and have no real future value. Poor build quality, won’t stand the test of time.
Dave, whether you needed the key ultimately is by the by really. As far as they knew, you may still have needed it... A 30 second email is all it would have taken.. An oversight? Maybe but still a bit of a fail... especially as you still haven't had an answer 😉
@@thebingleywheeler Don't know if their own keys have chips or not? Surely they must know their own product! As good as CF Moto are, they seem to suffer from the same as many other large concerns - that is miscommunication or lack of it altogether... This ties in with what i was saying a while ago on another post of yours - warranties are only as good as parts availability, after sales service and now we can add communication... If they can't answer a basic question, I'd hate to have to rely on them actually replacing it.. Not a deal breaker, but bloody frustrating, particularly if it's your only bike.. Kudos to you for pointing out possible flaws..👍😉
@johnratcliffe4105 cheers John…..yes I think they need to take a long hard look at after sales care otherwise they’ll get reputationally damaged for good bikes

It still took 3 months to get your centre stand, so I'm not sure an apology is in order.... Except perhaps one from Appleyards? 😊

I did have that thought but then I have to tread very carefully as it’s all to easy to upset people
The autumn scenery was spectacular. But my, the Guzzi is nice to listen to.
Yes she’s got a fine tune 👍🏻

I’ll give that a try 😎👍🏻
@@thebingleywheeler It's a methodology that I use on my MG 750 Breva, Dave; it works for me.
Chinese bikes are great but spares and back up 👎

Love the scenery and the sound of the MG
Cheers Andy 👍🏻
You don't have to apologize, remember the big one WW2.
Yes.

The build quality is good on mine….as good as any Japanese or German bike I’ve owned (several)
@ hey so long as your happy, that’s all that matters buddy. My personal experience of the brand as a whole, not so great.
when i was mot testing anything to do with CF moto was not good
@@thebingleywheeler I’ve a Honda from 1982 that’s still running. You say the CF is as good ? 😂
@douglasalexander4348 ask me in 42 years 👍🏻
Told you to get your stand from Ali express
Aliexpress delivers fast
Or Uncle Wang. Shouldn’t take more than 6 weeks from China, and that’s if it’s coming by boat.
I hear good things about Uncle Wang
