Fun fact this years target was 22% ,sales 18% and that's with every trick in the book begin used to increases the numbers. 30% milk float sales totally unachievable.

Simple market forces, if the Chinese make a good product at a good price then it will sell and the Japanese and European manufacturers need to wake up and smell the Coffee before it is too late. Sadly we no longer life in a world where the U.K can afford to take the moral high ground nor do we have to power to influence so the Chinese are coming whether we like it or not. I think companies like CF Moto are doing great things but my only caveat is that we need to see how service and parts go because I do think that is where they are still slightly weak.

Bought a Benelli trk 702X absolutly loving it best bike ive had fits me and the wife perfectly for touring and what a great price 5000mls so far with a 1500ml scotland tour two up no problems so far
Only thing we found the fueling was a bit out at low revs but seems to have got better after the long tour and even better since i fitted the Mivv end can
Saved £3000 as i was going to buy the transalp but found the trk 702X was just as good with a massive saving no regrets so far loving the bike ride and handling it sticks fo the road great test ride one before making comment on the chinese bikes you might just be surprised

    Chinese bikes......
I love to hear ppl get on their orange boxes and say they won't buy a Chinese bike on morality grounds.
I would highly recommend you do an in depth study on genocide. As individuals Mao takes top place. Stalin second, Hitler 3 and Leopard 2nd of Belgium 4th.
On a national level it is far more complex. The British murdered over 250 million in India, and similar numbers in Africa. 1,5 million in Ireland and close to a million of their own poor shipped as slaves to North America. 80% died in transit.
The North America has murdered over 30 million since 1946. Add to that the extermination of 90% of the indigenous population of America using every conceivable method of violence including biological warfare.
Stop listening propaganda, do your own research and buy the bike that suits.
I avoided Japanese bikes for my first 5 years of riding because of my 2 brothers propaganda..
Fortunately I got to own a CB200 by chance and never looked back.
Around 60 bikes and half Japanese

    Dave, interesting points raised.
The Chinese question is a good one.. They have been very clever, by using European designed engines, ie BMW and KTM. I have not seen a Chinese designed engine as yet. I think that the Japanese have already awoken to this fact.. The pricing of the new Honda 1000 Hornet for example... I guess like many I have decided to keep what I have got.. Wait to see what happens..

I should point out that CF moto is designed in Italy and built in china. So when we look at these new joint ventures we need to do it with open minds.. same area where Ducati and others are developed and they were awarded coveted prices like the red dot award

Interesting as always Dave. We haven't had a decent PM since 1990 and I think you are just the sort of politician that we need to get us out of this limp wristed fug that we are languishing in. As far as electric cars go; until the super polluters like China and India are brought into line, they can shove 'em where the sun don't shine. It's going to be interesting to see what happens to the mountains of self combusting scrap battery packs in the future as well. All the best.

We said the same about the "quality" of Japanese vehicles 50 years ago. Though, I remember Datsun cars being better specified than Mercs!
I thoroughly agree with your points of view. So, divvying up positions, do you want to be Transport Secretary or Home Secretary when the current shower of ******* vacate? 🤣🤣

If Chinese bikes become the main stay for most people and a lot of the leading brands go by the wayside don’t for one minute think they won’t put there prices up. In future years I can see bikes being sold like Tesla’s with all sales being online and no dealers.

I'd better not say anything as last time it was completely misinterpreted...
However, I think we are doomed!
I'm eagerly anticipating a shaft drive CF Moto with adequate power for European motorway cruising fully equipped for £10k.

Hi Dave, China may dominate the future of motorcycling but I fear not in this country, not with present and future legislation.
Like your content and video's, keep up the good work.

China gets things done sometimes at the price of ordinary people. As for British industry the down turn it all started with Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s and closing or selling off British industry.
