Traded the Voge 650 at 2 1/2 years old, ridden in all weathers, scrubbed up well, little or no rust or corrosion, nothing had failed and the part ex value on the new 900 was eye wateringly generous. On that basis the 900 came my way and so far am delighted with the bike but not so with the importer MotoGB who cant be bothered answering two very simple questions…..ignored my two emails and when I phoned was fobbed off with ….. we are the importer, you have to contact the dealer……i phoned because the dealer also contacted MotoGB and couldn’t get answers. Q1 What are the service intervals Q2 How to arrange for the ecu latest software upgrade Not difficult questions but it was to MotoGB. On that basis I would tell anyone thinking of buying the 900, to tread carefully, if you want after sales service…..look elsewhere.
This is a hell of a bike. If it was Japanese or European then people would saying that this bike was revolutionary in terms of its quality/value offer. I expect that this and the CF Moto that you have will in the future be seen as landmark bikes in establishing the Chinese as serious motorcycle manufacturers. I was seriously thinking about the CF but now think the Voge offer is even better. But both great bikes it seems
What a grey day, what a bleak week, it certainly was a crappy day, unlike the bike. Not an adventure bike man myself but you have to admire how good that bike is for its money. The likes of Triumph and BMW will always attract the badge snobs but in these days of austerity their prices are looking very expensive. As always a great video thanks for your efforts.
Once again, a comprehensive and fair review, Dave. From the generally positive comments here, bikes like these will slowly become more numerous and familiar on the roads of Britain over the next few years, of that I'm sure. For the asking price, this and the CFMoto MT are amazing value, especially when one considers all the extra kit that's thrown in. In the same way Japanese bikes were slowly being accepted here by the end of the 60s and the start of the 70s, the same thing will happen to bikes like these. The Japanese had their opportunity 60 or so years ago. Now it's the turn of the Chinese. It's the same pattern all over again. Good one, pal. 👍
"Could this signal the decline of the GS".... got a loft full of bike mags over the yrs with that tag line. Can't argue it's a cracking bike Dave and well presented 😊
It really seems like too good to be true, though I do honestly think bike and car prices have been unreasonably inflated in the last few years! The list of equipment seems amazing! Surprised you don't have far more subscribers, it's a great channel! Cheers.
they are really on the up and up, the new 800 rally is a really sweet bike too , as is the new 625 and the others further down the range for those looking for a utilitarian bike for low cost
You are most fortunate indeed to get a LOT more choices in not only models but brands of motorbikes in your beautiful nation! Thank you! SS in Hades but now with the AC on!
Good Morning Dave , Wow what a bike & for the money , this machine will shatter the bigger brands tbh , my only gripe would be keyless ( old school mate lol ) so thank you for this review so take care & ride safe
This bike has to be hurting European bike sales. Many of the ‘just retired must buy a massive adventure bike crowd’ would be daft not to at least test ride one. The only issue is the more toys you have the more there is to go wrong. Time will tell.
I like the idea of these it must be hurting GS & Africa twin sales. Im finding I dont want all this tech as it is indeed more to go wrong and more for the rider to rely upon technology rather than your own skill experience and decision making. We are all different thou and it does show whats possible to be built with a high standard spec for a price that is very advantageous.
@thebingleywheeler 95 nm @ 6000 rpm equals 80 bhp exactly. That's plenty of power for any eventuality without needing to push for peak revs. Tractability is far more important, & enjoyable than peak power in real world riding.
A lot of bang for your buck and appears very well made at the price. I was looking at these a few months ago on a UK youtuber's channel living in Spain. These up and coming Chinese bikes will be sending shockwaves throughout the European aand Japanese companies. Great review Dave but not my style unfortunately.
@@davidwandless4103 l've seen a huge increase in Chinese bikes in Spain over the past 2 years. But then they don't have our winters or road salt to deal with. I hope they are more durable than the 25 year old 2 year old Lexmotos about.
The bike looks lovely....to me looks better than the CFMoto....the 900 cc engine is more than capable for most people.....and as for the standard kit....wow. Great assessment video 👍

@thebingleywheeler definitely a storm brewing Dave, it's a double sided sword. Great for the consumer but ask anyone to cut their prices in half to complete is like asking someone to take a 50% pay cut. It's a tough cookie.
Yes agreed pal it’s a bit of a thorny subject a bike within reach of many at the price yet a broader implication for the industry and those who work in it
Great video Dave, I do love the Voge, its a decent bike and excellent for the likes of us. I wonder if you prefer this or your CF? Commenting at the start of the video 👍👍👌👌
Thank you Sean much appreciated. I do love what the Voge offers but I do think the ride on the CF Moto is more engaging. It’s a highly subjective comparison I Know and there may be a bit of “owner affirmation” going on. That said both bikes offer a lot of real estate for the capital outlay and I’d be happy with either 😊👍🏻
That’s a serious amount of kit for the money but I don’t think I would consider taking anything as big and heavy off road apart from the odd short section of gravel lane here and there. I like all the dedicated switchgear for all the bells and whistles. Much more user friendly for the landline generation. Cheers Dave and thanks for the review
Nice review, it could be made better if you zoomed in on some of the details at the start, ie the tft display unit. Even the vision of the bike could stand to be zoomed in a bit more. All the best. Cheers from AUS 👍🦘🇦🇺
Camera button on right hand switch gear does not start the video recording. The button when pressed takes a photo. The video records continually and uses an sd card fitted under the seat and the recording/ photo’s are accessed via the Voge app. I know , I am lucky enough to own one.
@@seanobrien5520when has any modern BMW been as reliable and a Honda ? Saying that it’s like the CF Moto’s. They have a point to prove. Mechanically I’m sure they will be strong . Electronically ?
I did notice the little arrow flashing by the gear change indicator below 20mph it preferred to be in 1st gear, that indicator probably helps with fuel consumption and a smoother gear change. I have never seen that before but I have never been on a brand new modern bike.
As we all know, motorcycling needs more young riders. When young people are trying to cope with housing and raising families its good that China is producing good quality and more affordable bikes. The likes of Honda have started to take note of the likes of Voge and CF Moto with the release of the Hornets and GB350. I think the upcoming BMW 450 GS will be Germanys response. Very good video, keep them coming. 👍
Great price for an alternative to the house hold names. Lets see after 10 years used in a damp environment where roads are salted, will those high tech do dads still function without effecting the ECU?
I need to get some cordless heated gloves as I have an ancient pair that are at least 30 years old! I also have a Gerbing jacket, that has a story behind it. Back in the early 90s, I was commuting 70 miles per day to work. My parents bought me a Gerbing jacket and gloves for Christmas, which was a game changer. The gloves connected to the jacket and ran from that. After a few months the glove connection stopped working. I contacted the shop that I had bought it from and they said to send it back and they would pass it on to Gerbing. The jacket was last seen in Holland and never reappeared! The shop, who had stopped stocking Gerbing by then, sent me a heated gillet, gloves and a few other things as compensation. About 10 years later I saw an advert for Gerbing in a bike mag, with an email address. I contacted them by email, telling them the story. A few hours later Gerbing contacted me, asking for my address. They sent me a new jacket. No questions asked. Great customer service.
Great review, thanks very much! It's a really interesting bike, as is the 300 which is a direct competitor to the Honda CRF. I do think a better comparison would be with the mid range ADVs though, rather then the big bikes. All that for 9k, wow. Not that I'll be kicking the V85TTT out for it, but I'll be keeping my eye on Voge..
Saw a huge increase in Voge bikes in Spain this year. Personally l think a guy thinking about buying a GS is likely middle aged & can afford one and l don't think many would be swayed by "cheaper". I'd like to see a review battle though!

Well at least you won’t need to waste time acknowledging other bikers whilst riding, whether I am on my guzzi or my scooter adventure bike riders virtually never wave, nod or even give the middle finger, my theory is that they believe they are higher up the food chain somehow, don’t quite understand it, we are all on two wheels after all …..
I think a 125 bike would beat any large capacity adventure bike in a race over a distance of 10 miles. By the time an adventure rider has fiddled with all the bells and whistles. The 125 jockey is away over the horizon...😊😊
I had to laugh at about 10 mins Dave.......the reference to toastie titties as you're riding past Titty Bottle park......that was deliberate, right? Greenhow Hill looked grim!! I was stunned when you said that the BMW was powered by a Chinese engine......so even the so called premium brands are just "badge engineering" now! I'd have assumed that BMW would have designed and built their own engine.......but then why would I.......it's the same with cars and vans. You can find a "Peugeot" engine in a Mercedes.......who knows where they actually come from? Personally, I try to avoid Chinese where possible.......but it's becoming increasingly not possible and I just have to (grudgingly) accept it. This is thought provoking on many levels.........the Chinese are equipping the world and they can't be ignored because they're getting their (quality control) sh*t together. Hmmmmm? Ride safe bruv Dave (N. Yorks)👍
Well , with the effects of the vote behaviour in the USA, it will at least take another term before that happens..😂 you will ride Tesla bikes very soon now!
The Chinese bikes are excellent straight out of the box. Imagine when they start competing on price with other Chinese bikes, you could see prices lower again, and they are grear value now.
Until the chinese pushed every other manufacturer out, subsidised by european (that is incl UK) consumers, they grab us by “the balls” and can do what they want. And that is not a nice future IMHO.. Chinese only adapt temporarily, to match and get the market, then they do what they want… Chinese people can be nice, yes, but fundamental respect for other cultures and economies is quite limited tbh.. This is not meant as a rant on Chinese, but “we” must be aware of what we are supporting… short term, me myself and i, can have consequences on the longer term.. (before someone gets the idea, that i have certain interests, we only sell parts for classics, new bike and part sales are irrelevant for us)
Like the Japanese, once they have reached a near-monopoly situation the Chinese will put their prices up. Looks a solid enough bike if plug ugly - nearly all adventure bikes are aesthetically challenged tbf. My concern would be long-term parts supply, especially in the middle of nowhere. Realistically, it's a pootling round the highways of Europe kind of machine, and probably does that very well.
@borderlands6606 Disagree, Royal Endfield prices have stayed the same, Moto Guzzi have only gone up with inflation over last 15 years, and have in last 5 years not gone up at all, unlike most manufacturers. Chinese have excellent track record for parts supply, Ali Express is more reliable than Ebay now for shipping. They build a 10 mile long bridge in the say time it takes us to add one lane to a 3 mile stretch of motorway. If Chinese take logistics under their control, and not a UK distributor, parts supply will be flawless. They have customers service levels greater than US. It can take up to 6 weeks for warranty parts from Moto Guzzi and 2 weeks for some none stock Harley Davidson parts. And if they are like Japanese bikes, the word parts is a none word as they won't need any, other than service items.
@@checker3694 hahahaha.... well they did not prove to be a reliable service and parts supplier in the past... we had to ship it back @ our cost (very very high) in case of warranty and service, and the chinese gov sponsored train, shipped it back (cheap for them) or by plane (very very expensive) ... in all case "we" loose a lot of money and credibility (customers don't want to wait that looong). Chinese also don't really care if your bike brakes down... that is your loss... even in Asia, they ride chinese and Indian because the can not afford a japanese or european bike.. but all of them want the stuff we ride here in the west.. or the size is a thing... above 400cc it is too expensive/impossible for normal people.. your view is biased, don't know why tbh.. we quit altogether with 1:1 chinese suppliers. first shipment fine, second also, and then every thing declines, quality, service, everything... but he! don't trust your own suppliers and own economy , trust the chinese! hahaha..
@@checker3694 I'd agree with some of that, though the idea Japanese bikes don't need spare parts is wishful thinking. You could argue bikes have been overpriced for years, and brands like Royal Enfield are succeeding because they offer simple, reliable, and easy to work on machines at budget prices.
They are a great bike, but they are not on the same league as the GS900F as I can attest to this from my experience, plus your not comparing apples for apples, GS1300 totally different bike to a voge….i had a test ride on the voge , lovely handling bike seemed well finished, but I noticed the gear box a bit sloppy to engage, clutch and break lever, stacks of play, yes this can all be adjusted, but it only had 400 miles, what would it be like after 5000miles, footnote: the engine is not exactly the same as the GS900F 105BHP…The Voge is still a fantastic bike , with amazing tech and build quality, with a giveaway price…more than enough power with all the toys
My GS900F 2024 has all the toys I need, 4 x rider modes, heated grips, cruise control , top class TFT with built in GPS directional and I paid £12000 in a very good deal..don’t have heated seat or radar, just the life saver glance for me… 3 grand more yes, but what will the voge residual value be in 3 years ???..I am no BMW snob, had all the brands and now back to BMW , l can trust and know the build quality…The VOGE Is a top top bike…..But if your into World politics, America is banning all Chinese bikes, over taxing Chinese cars and anything Chinese and you do know the lap dog Britain always follows Americas lead…so watch this space….
So, the Chinese have achieved what they set out to do, namely produce a bike that people are willing to buy without commenting on poor quality and manufacture, whilst undercutting the Western manufacturers on price. This will lead to the market accepting China as an acceptable manufacturer and the downfall of the European marques. Job done! I, for one, won’t be buying any Chinese bikes regardless of price! And when Taiwan kicks off don’t expect to receive any service or parts from China! 😂
The real test will be when people travel around the World on them or just stack up serious milage, They do look very nice , first impressions are good and they do come stacked with all the goodies, but in this day and age you do normally get what you pay for.... i think if your not looking to do big miles or round the World trip, it would be hard not to go down this route, Great looking bike.
I've enjoyed having British, American, German, Italian and Japanese motorcycles but wouldnt want a Chinese motorcycle. Just a personal preference and enjoy whatever it is you choose to ride.😊
Staggering amount of bike for the money, but too much weight for anything but the odd fire road or gravel track. If looking for a big adventure bike for long distances you could do a lot worse than this and it comes with everything including the kitchen sink!
Exactly the very same tunnel vision we had in the 70’s when Soichiro Honda invaded the Uk motorcyle market. Oh! How we scoffed when a spotty yoof turned up with his bike. Whilst we were yo-yoing the kickstart he was 2 miles up the road and turning left…..the rest is history.
I was just thinking , if they jibbed all the unnecessary tech gubbins like , slipper , blipper , quick shifter , electronic throttles , daft ride modes , keyless crap , in built camera & tacky gold upside down forks . They could knock these bikes out for around 4 - 5 grand & still make a profit . I could never consider any bike this size or capacity as a serous bike for touring the planet off road . This is more your poor man’s 3 box W⚓️ machine , for blatting down European autobahns & over mountain ranges loaded up . I can’t see many of your regular pretentious BMW GS , Triumph Tiger , Ducati Multistrada , or KTM riders buying them , as they haven’t got the snob value ,or the established back up .
Blimey that alot of bike for ya money and i don't think i would even bother testing the BMW GS's now and i have had one of each of the big GS's. I actually prefer your CFMOTO to this Voge which i think is the one to beat as far as mid-range Adventure bikes but there is still one thing stopping me buying a new Chinese bike like this...Shaftdrive i changed to shaftdrive bikes years ago due to lack of maintenance and reliability and i won't go back to chain drive (having said that i do have a 650 V Strom love the bike but its chaindrive so won't be keeping it long but as soon as the bring a new shaftdrive mid-range adventure bike thats Chinese i will buy one. Another bargain bike i like the look of is the Benneli 500 adventure bike thats probably same size as ya CFMOTO for even less money.
That's a nice bike, I like it. The test would be to use it regularly over the the next 6 months and then see what's corroded and what hasn't.

Good luck with it, hope she serves you well! 👍🏻 😊
Thanks TBW, Voge is unfortunately not available here in Aus. Shame really.
Cheers
Yeah it’s a pity, they seem to have some good bikes
Hi Dave ,, does it have the typical euro 5 emission bullshite sensitive throttle issue?
Not really it’s certainly more refined than my CF
Otley this morning.
It's £9000. Are the differences with the GS's you mention worth an additional £9000.
👍🏼 BEWARE the hot gilet 😂😉
How does it compare to the cf moto 800 mt?
Not much in it tbh I just prefer the looks of the CF
Oh dear.. have to try and mention the GS to get the clicks!
Of course and why not 😂
He’d be a fool not to mention the GS seeing as it has the same wheels/frame/suspension/ brakes and engine as the F850GS
Missed enduro mode long press on the mode button
Same development as in the car industry, too much electronic. Abs is o.k., but from my point of view enough.
Is that jobs done? Amazing how people close their eyes to save a few quid.😂
It's too tall for me, but I would seriously consider it otherwise. Are BMW cutting its own throat by helping this company?
Never heard of these people…….
Nice review. A crackin good deal. I like it. Cheers!!! Illinois, USA
It looks like a BMW F900GSA, no? Does it not bother people that China copies the bikes of others then competes them? Asking for a friend...
Pure satire love it 😎
Oh it’s a voge not a cf sorry
Good point re shaft drive though the Beemers and Triumphs and Ducatis in the 900 range are all chain….Moto Guzzi V85TT is shaft 😊
Good review Dave a lot of quality for the money. Wouldn't mind a link for your heated gloves and gillet👍
agreed
@thebingleywheeler I would also very much appreciate a link to the gilet please
