@@cynthiaarons9373 Ms Cynthia Arons, I agree only if today's actress wanted feminine class.
Today the female, most in movie industry, wants to project selfish feminist woke ideals.
Audry Hepburn was a hero before she made her first movie.

    • @stmichl9433
      @stmichl9433 4 года назад +33

WMS 1 the problem is that "feminist" ideals are often misguided because they come from a place of victimhood. I see Audrey as far more a "feminist" than young actresses of today because she was empowered just as a human without the need for labels. There was no whinging on inequality and no using sex and sexuality to gain advantage. She was just coming from a place of Self and great Presence. If you observe, any stars - male or female - who use their sex and sexuality to project a persona always end up badly and are remembered not in the same way. If you want to be timeless and honoured like Audrey, then cultivate that which goes beyond the physical (body, mental, energetic). What resonates form Audrey is something of the spirit and that's why we love her.

Back in the old days 1950s, 1960s woman had style and were more "feminine" , she was not that special. Audrey Hepburn suffer from malnutrition , she ate mostly pasta and sweets, and ate very little ( A starving diet ) and smoked "three packs cigarets" a day ! and drank alcohol , from her unhealthy lifestyle died from Appendix cancer , people who have unhealthy Appendix its from eating a high refine carb diet lots of sweets, baking goods .She also suffered 5 miscarriages. All her kids and grandchildren are ugly or less than average looking . If she gained weight she would be just everage woman ! too much hype ! every one who gains weight gets ugly even if you are born with good looks ! She manage to stay thin and slim all her life but she paid the price at the end . Nobody lives forever we will all die one day .....people who are lucky to be born beautiful .................. are not Gods !

Honestly I don’t think there is a single person in Audreys time or this time that could ever say a single bad word about her. She was an absolute gem! I wish her legacy and elegance stayed through this era and I wish young girls today would look at Audrey as a role model and not the kardashians and Instagram girls.
I admire her grace so much, her kindness and thrive for living. She lived through absolute horrors and still found joy and positivity and saw the better outcome. I’m so sad I didn’t get to grow up with her but you best bet my future children will be raised on her movies and they will know who she is and look to her as a role model. RIP Audrey, you’re sorely missed by everyone and those in the future.

If all the world’s a stage
And all the men and women merely players
Then here’s a very special player
    Who’s also been our friend
    For what is friendship
Is not a willingness to give
To give laughter when there were tears
    Comfort when there were fears
    Pleasure fantasy and fun
    When there is none.
    For young and old
    To create a world
    They may never see
    People with characters and
    clowns/crowns they would never be
A friend who brings to our lives often stark
Brightness and cheer sweeping away thoughts
    sorrowful and dark
Giving us strength to face each day
    And come what may
We know he would be there
    To help us bear
Our lives as if it were a play
    So thank you Cary
For giving joy across the years
    To those who need
In times of selfishness and greed
And start to hang their dreams on
    And before I am gone
In gratitude and love I end
You have truly been a friend

Ms. Hepburn enchanted us with her beauty, talent, elegance, class & poise. When she began to grow older, she did not rush in fear to a cosmetic surgeon. She lived her life, devoted herself to helping others & gave us the great pleasure of seeing that the lines of age only made her more beautiful & more enchanting. There is only one thing about Ms. Hepburn that made me unhappy -- she left this world much too soon. We will never see her kind of beauty, glamour, style & elegance again. But, we have her wonderful films & videos like this one to remind us of how a great star & great beauty looked & acted. Even Cary Grant, a legendary star himself, was moved & thrilled by her appearance. Her final curtsy & blown kiss was perfection. It was wonderful to see this again!

In Audrey’s autobiography she said that during WW2 that her family was so poor that her mother baked a loaf of mud and grass to eat. When the American soldiers came to liberate their area the soldiers gave the kids chocolate and until the day she died she ate a small piece of chocolate everyday.

I've never thought of her as British. She was born in Belgium and chose to live in America and then Switzerland. So she spent some childhood years in Britain during the turbulent war years in Europe, but this seemed to be out of necessity and safety rather than by personal choice. She never chose to live there as an adult, preferring America and Switzerland.

Hello natia natia! How are you? I agree, partially, with you but... MISS AUDREY HEPBURN DO NOT NEED TO BE AN english princess. SHE WAS A BARONESS FROM HER MOTHER FAMILY. Her mother was Ella Van Heemstra, daughter of Baron Aarnoud Van Heemstra. The family Van Heemstra is of frisian origin and began in 1492. Since the XIX century, the family was integrated in the Kingdom of Netherlands.
The name adopted by Miss Hepburn during the 2ª World War, when she lived in Netherlands with her mother, was EDDA VAN HEEMSTRA. And why? Because her english name was a problem during the Nazi occupation... Perhaps, because she saw the HORRORS of the war, SHE BECAME SUCH AN ADORABLE PERSON until the end of her life, don't you agree? BYE-BYE AND STAY WELL!
