My grandparents got married in the winter of 1961 and my granny had a longsleeved dress with lace in off-white, that she made by herself. My grandparents had like no money, but they loved eachother so much.... Unfortunately, my grandpa died in 1980 because of leukemia, so I never met him, but I'm sure, he would've loved to see me wearing Granny's dress at my own wedding next year, on their 60 year anniversary ❤️
my grandma got married in the '50s is very beautiful gown sadly it died in a fire long before I was born just too bad it very poofy style of gowns long sleeves with a v and sheer turtle neck.
I saw the 1985 one and immediately gasped because it's so so soooo similar to my mother's wedding dress from the 80s, so I love how accurate it is!!!! I remember her saying that her dress would be mine and I looked at the puffed shoulders and my six year old brain said ummm thanks mum but nooooo
The 50s fashion is always very popular. I think it's because it's so very feminine. I'm not keen on it for myself. I find it a bit kitschy. But I can see the attraction.
When I was little I had fallen in love with this super pretty and old wedding dress in a thrift store, my parents had decided to get it for my birthday. I recently found out that the dress was from 1900-1910(Can't quite remember) and it had been passed down for a long time until the guy who donated it got it from his late mother and had decided to donate it because he and his husband didn't want kids but he didn't want to throw it away so he donated it in hopes that it could make someone else happy and maybe make it through a few more generations.
What a nice way of saying it. Iconic. I was married in 81, before everything went hideous. But a friend was married later in the decade. She hates her gown to this day. Those styles looked horrible on 99.9 percent of the population. Iconic. Love it.
I love that the one from 1955 really looks like my grandmothers wedding dress (who got married around that time). Some of these dresses are soo beautiful, even today!
The video was SUPER accurate. The '75 one looked just like mom's dress, the '45 one like my Granny's and the 1915 one like my Great Granny's. I'm not married yet but the 2015 one was my favorite. We really are a product of our environment!
Update! yes I found my dress, lone year anniversary coming up Wish I could share a photo of the dress. But I can describe it 😅 It wasn’t modern, it was a vintage lacy long sleeve, slightly off shoulder ball gown (didn’t use a petty coat) it had a big bow thingy you had to clip in place at the back. The top and sleeve had lots of pearls (obviously not real pearls) lol and omg it had a long ass train like really long but I loved it. Couldn’t see myself in any thing else
I was married in 1987 but wore my mother’s dress. She bought and wore hers in 1960. All silk with real buttons down the entire back and a giant bow at the lower back. Gorgeous. Then my two sisters wore again in 1990 and 1995. So special!
Wedding dresses or what you wear for your wedding can be anything. My mom had a very small wedding and wore a peach coloured skirt and dress shirt/jacket.
The 1925 wedding dress was very similar to my grandmother's dress when she married my grandfather in 1925. Loved the headpiece. Nailed the 80's - right down to the makeup.
I was waiting for 2021 and after realized the video was post in 2015😂

1915s was definitely unique and pretty but my favourites were 1935s and 1945s
Agreed... those ones were pretty😁
I love the ones from 1955 and 2005 🥰
Ayneeen
1945 seems to be my favorite one.
The change from the 70's to the 80's is so intense it's giving me whiplash. HOW did that happen.
Definitely recognise the 80’s wedding dresses my mum and my aunt wore. Such a stark difference between the 80’s and the 90’s.
But I think is more late 90s, the early 90s was similar to big 80s
@@aldairlopez8563 exacto, de 1990 a 1995 se usaron esos vestidos enormes y grandes velos y tocados.

Boggy Bunny the one from 2005 is basically my mums dress too! And she got it around that time.
Most of those eighties dresses can be altered to remove the sleeves, and they are gorgeous.
The 80's one looks just like my mom's dress too. 😂 And my aunt B, my aunt A, my aunt J, and my aunt Be, all their dresses looked like that! Haha!
I love when parent assume that you wanna get married... SINGLE AND PROUD
The dress from 1985 looked soooo much like my moms dress too! I think that’s the year they exactly got married too lmao
They really showcase how beautiful each style is, in their own way, even some decades that weren’t necessarily my favorite. It’s impressive.
1935, 1955, 1995 are my favorites. 😍 So simple and yet so elegant.
Same ❤️
Blueberry Cheesecake same girl
I love how she fits in every era. And, well done to those dressing her and doing her hair and makeup
it's because the era is defined by the clothes.
If she was fat, short, and brown, she would have fit too, maybe with a different set of clothes
1955 was my favorite. I'd definitely wear a dress similar to it!
Ditto. And the year I was born just as it happens.
But Your dad just calls me Katyaaa ya same! it was so pretty!
But Your dad just calls me Katyaaa Yeah
me too but just a bit longer, a tea-dress isn't really formal enough for a wedding dress to me
Me too!! I also loved the 70's :)
What a lovely film .The 30's ,40's and 50's ones where the most stylish .I'd love to have the chance to dress up like that !
I love the ones from 1935 and 1945. The lace, relative simplicity, and headdresses just make them seem so regal.
IKR
My thoughts exactly
1955 was honestly the prettiest out of all of them. I'd wear that at my wedding in a heartbeat!
In my opinion 1945 was the prettiest 😊
I think the model really like it too she seemed to have more fun with it 😁

The 80's always have such an iconic look. You can always tell what decade it is!

Loved the 1920’s one, especially hr veil with all of those miniature pearls. My mother’s dress in 1976 was almost exactly like the one pictured.
The 1925 gave me Rosalie vives
It reminded me of the dress Jobyna Ralston's character wore at her wedding to a bigamist in the movie Girl Shy starring Harold Lloyd.
