    I've watched plenty of vs videos on these two blowers and this is by far the best of the bunch, nice job guys. I have a lot of Oak trees so I'm going with the Echo. Got ten years out of my 770 so why not!

    place a sheet of plywood or two on the fence to create a ramp, then send those leaves over the fence. This would eliminate having to push them through the small gate.

      ColonialRVA that’s a great idea! I’ll have to remember that. It’s such a pain working them through a gate been there. Kills your time on the job.

    I would personally choose the stihl. While they are harder to work on and the parts are dealer exclusive, Stihl has a better design, and I like how all of the cables and wires are enclosed. Ive never had any issues with my Stihl equipment.

    8010 is more powerful than he br800, period. I own the 8010 and have owned the br800X and the 8010 also runs longer on a full tank of gas and has no valves to adjust. Just straight 2 stroke muscle.

    • @RU1TV
      @RU1TV 4 года назад +1

      More reliable and more powerful than the Echo 8010 vs Stil BR-800? What do you think of Maruyama BL8500SP?

    • @michaelholly88
      @michaelholly88 3 года назад

      More power isn’t always better, lasts longer maybe because the tank is larger. I had the 800x and switched to the 800c-e and found it to blow even better, oddly enough the engine and Specs are same. I would never want to give up comfort, lighter weight and sidestart.

    I really can’t make my mind up bud. I need a BIGGER pack back come fall. I run the husqvarna 570 now. I love it. The husky 580 mark II is out now as well it has more cfm than stihl 800 but not as many mph. I like the side start and telescoping tube on the stihl. Man I just can’t decide. Echo is pure raw power though for sure

    I liked the test but those leaf's are light compared to the one's here in South Texas with these Oak trees we have I could put those two blowers to the test and we could find out which is really better.

  • @crazyjdkid
    @crazyjdkid 6 лет назад +2

    I really liked Stihl for the longest time too, but the reason I stopped buying them is their proprietary parts. For example, my Husky chainsaw blew a fuel line on a Sunday. So I ran back to my shop and installed a new line that was an industry standard size I had in stock in 10 minutes. Similar situation with a Stihl trimmer, failed right in the middle of the job, and my dealership was closed on Sunday so I was sol till the following day. They don't take normal fuel line, so you can't go to any old hardware store for the part like all the other brands. Small example, still great equipment, I would just rather have the ability to repair something and get right back to the job.

      This is so true they try to be the Tesla or lawn equipment. Therefore making everything harder to work on the all of the plastic stuff you have to disassemble to do any maintenance. Echo is much simpler in any of my experiences and also sell a lot of replacement parts at your local Home Depot!

    • @bigtexas7580

      Stihl uses the one piece green molded fuel lines and you can get those extremely cheap on ebay as well as the carbs. I I have a few just for backups.

    I'm selling my echo 8010 blower, it's very powerful and I love it but here's the reason I'm selling it. It is so new that the parts can only be ordered through echo and they are expensive. Just the carb costs $110, vs $14 for a whole carb kit with carb, fuel lines, filters, gaskets, etc on ebay for my redmax 8500. That being said I'm going to get rid of the 8010 and keep my redmax. Maybe I'll get another 8010 2 or 3 years later after the parts have surfaced on ebay cheap for the 8010.
