Its obvious from the start your biased towards echo, maybe it is more powerful maybe its the unit you had on trial but the echo was blowing leaves on tarmac which is easy compared to blowing wet leaves on wet grass as you did with the Stihl. Being able to start and stop the stihl machine on your back is a plus point for me. Good review though although from the first comments i knew what was going to win your vote before watching the trial.
I tried two Stihl’s and both seemed to be faulty to me. Echo first one and its great. I couldn’t even demo an echo first so I should be in favour of Stihl but I prefer performance over a name. Yes side start useful but the system isn’t worthy of a German name. Seems cheap and cheerful. How long does it really save, 1 minute? Hope you enjoy the footage. It’s not easy recording esp bringing two blowers for one property. This is a hobby after all. If both companies payed me then it might be different 😀
this blower br800 is unfortunately a big disappointment. I expected a lot more power. It is maybe 10 pricent more powerful than the BR700. For me it is quite a disappointment and I am considering selling it
Your point about the echo blower being noisier, rings true about most echo products i find . Thorough review btw Greg.👍
Just got the 8010 this week. Obviously not had much use but it’s a beast!
I'm a Stihl fan always used it but the newest tools are just not made well I'd go echo just for the build quality

@@GregsMowing Fair point, if other stihl machines were the same. I did enjoy the footage👍🏻⭐
After the 800 warmed up seem to run better....maybe show both blowing wet leafs off grass ....
I have 2 br 800s on fleet and have absolutely no problems with it not holding its power on full throttle.
Fair enough. I can only comment on the two I tried from Stihl.
i just bought the 8010 a few months ago i love it wont use anything else
The PB-8010T was discountinued and replaced by the PB-9010T
Still have the 8010 in U.K.
