FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! A video that shows someone Actually blowing leaves instead of blowing a car battery across a driveway. This thing looks like a beast. Me likeeeee!!!
I bought 3 different ones before I bought a Stihl, and that includes Husky. It was always something from hard to get started to losing compression, to recoil issues, so sucking your shorts in and chewing them up. With the Stihl, it always starts easily and it just works.
Just used mine in my area from high winds from the hurricane. These leaves were wet and deep. No problem for the 800. Wife said “your purchase is justified”. lol.
Love this review. Was debating between this and Echo 9010 but i decided to go with the Stihl based on the weight and better fuel efficiency. Definitely going to make my fall cleanup much simpler!!
@@WorkshopAddict cool thanks nice to know before she got me this blower, I was using the electric worx and a rake and trap I live right in the mountains of WV. Lots of leaves and back braking work over several days.
The game changer is the straps and belt on the 800C. I hate having to adjust the straps all the time due to all the shifting and vibration of my old blower. This is why I bought the c model. Side start I am not to fond of! I hope they patent that belt system, and apply it to all their other models. I just bought the 800C upon your recomendation.2 days ago. I no longer have to spend all day blowing leaves. This blower will do it in half the time my old blower would take me. The added bonus is semi frozen leaves stuck to the ground this will power them off the ground, it has that much power
The BR800 was a serious contender when I was looking for a new blower. Stihl make excellent equipment, but i opted for the Husqvarna 580BTS. Don't regret it for a second, it's a fantastic machine, very comfortable to use , and plenty of power!
Just bought onea 700, my 19 year old redmax needs a carburetor. Msn this 700 is a monster!!!! A 4 hour job turned into 2 hours. I am surrounded by trees like u. But, man ! My shoulder was sore, this is Heavy damn, a workout . I went full.throttle for 2 hours😂
@@shanew7361wouldn’t say way more, I have both and the sthil works better for anything that you need a more concentrated wind like blowing out the poultry barns at the farm and less fumes. Love that echo for landscaping though, especially under cars and parking lots where it’s wide open. I’ve had both brands different models and they have all been bulletproof from saws to blowers.
A buddy and I were talking about a gas model you pulled on behind a lawn mower. Honesty, this works well and I can put the leaves where I want them. I have so much landscaping and hills, I would need a backpack blower even if I had a pull behind. Then we would talk about storage....
Awesome video. I have a BG86 but it struggles with large leaf piles and acorns. 1/2 acre yard. Would this be a noticeable improvement in performance to justify the $650?
I have the SH85 probably similar power. 420 cfm (year 2000 version) and 180 something mph. They are slow. I also have the BR800. Here's what you can do to avoid $700. Do you have a 2nd leaf blower or can acquire another decent one cheap used? Use both together. Huge improvement. Downside is your arms and elbows feel it. The br800 removes all this weight from your arms.
We run 2 of these and a BR700 but thought I'd try the Echo 9010 and the Echo is much more powerful the only gripe I have with e Echo is the hose is very stiff but learned you dont need to swing that giant tube back and forth too often, a slower sweep gets you to bare ground and blowing piles of leaves, the Echo was about 20-25ft and about 6ft wide path and the Sthil was about 12ft long and only about 4-5ft wide path. I thought it was like wearing any other back pack and I got about 1:15 from a full tank.
I have the 9010T also and that flex tube is absolutely the worst tube they could have ever put on that blower!!…I use mine every day and got sick of this problem and I finally found the solution! I ordered the flex tube from the new RedMax 8560 backpack blower and it slips right on the echo 9010 elbow and tube and absolutely made this blower such a pleasure to use and now I absolutely love it and not wore out after using it!…It’s a $20 upgrade and it’s very flexible and looks better than OEM and fits just like the original and will make using it a new experience for ya & I highly recommend it!
@@DoubleTap1115Stihl definitely has a reputation of just blowing up. We’ve had saws just fail completely with no warning. I have heard more bad things than good about Stihl. Will stick with echo for blowers and trimmers and Husqvarna for saws.
I wish they would just make machines that can run the ethanol without problems the manufacturers are pretending like ethanol is going to go away or something. If one of the manufacturers did this it would take alot of business away from all the others
It probably would not be hard to make these ethanol stability if a company wanted. Upgrade some fuel lines and change some metal over. Most people run ethanol in these anyway. You just can't let them sit for long periods.
Nothing these engine makers can do will ever counteract the chemistry that ethanol brings with it. There's just no way around it. You can brute force through it with larger engines, but that's heavy and expensive. Small engines will always suffer to the negative effects of adding ethanol to gasoline ... until the laws of thermodynamics change, anyway.

We use this model in the track dept for blowing snow out of switches. I love it

Just got the 800 C for Father's day ,can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the video, i didn't know about the cruise control.
It is amazing. On the C model, don't pull the pull start hard. It does not need force. It is a nice slow easy pull.

If i want even more power i throw my br700 on my chest and dual wield. 😂
LOL. If you could have the air coming out of 2 tubes, one on each arm, this would be closer to a weapon than a blower.

the 800 has a better shoulder, chest and waist or hip harness than the 700
How does this compare to the echo 9010??
Definitely a beast of a blower. I’d love to see what you think about the Echo 9010
