A bonus fact for Rika, in the Japanese version of the games, Rika speaks with a Kansai dialect and refers to herself in third-person. And the in-universe counterpart of the Kansai region of Japan is the Johto region, which MAY imply that Rika WAS from Johto. This is SOMEWHAT supported in Pokemon Masters EX when Rika meets Whitney in the recent event for her, though it's not explicitly said. There Rika could tell that Whitney was from Johto due to her sensing a "Johto vibe" from Whitney. Although the dialogue MAY differ in the Japanese version.
Since you missed out Kieran, ill point out a fact. When you fight him as Champion of the BB league, his theme is once again remixed to be more agressive to show his determination to beat you. However after the events of the Indigo Disk, his future rematches will revert back to final theme from the teal Mask, showing that he’s toned down his over-competitive attitude but he still retains all the new things leaned from the time between the teal mask and indigo disk

Pokémon Masters EX even highlights how they met and they drifted apart. Agatha also appeared in the I Choose You! as Ash's teacher in the nightmare he had about a world without Pokémon. She also appears in the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga, being notably younger than every other appearance, and can transform into a Golbat. *Despite most people knowing about Lance's multiple under-leveled Dragonites while battling him, most don't acknowledge his Lvl. 40 Dragonite he uses while fighting alongside the player in the Team Rocket HQ. *Blue is technically now a Champion again having gained the title of Neo Champion in Masters EX. Interestingly, Will is one of two male characters to be identified as female in this array. The other is Bugsy. Also that manga panel is of him, Koga, and Bruno having fallen out of a building due to a terrible joke told by Karen. *Koga's main strategy as a Elite Four member is to to primarily use status moves, with his HGSS team even having his Forretress know Toxic Spikes. *There has been no given reason as to why Karen uses a Vileplume, other the presumed theory that Karen simply uses it as she likes it, following the mantra she gives. *All of Sidney's Pokémon in the first battle give out at least one Attack EV, with his Cacturne is the only Pokémon he uses that does not give out at least two Attack EVs. In addition, all of them have their base Attack as their highest stat, with the exclusion of Cacturne. *Along with not using a Gengar, Phoebe is also the only Hoenn Elite Four member to not use a Water-type in Emerald or ORAS. *She may never be seen outside of Ever Grande City, but one of the NPCs in the Mauville Food Court mentions seeing Glacia eating ramen there, saying she was slurping down her noodles at such an incredible pace that she was dripping with sweat. *Drake is an old shipmate and friend of Mr. Briney, and in the Adventures manga was revealed to have sailed with him and Mr. Stone in the past. He also believes that the Elite Four's challenge is superior to the Battle Frontier (he's right by the way). *Steven has several Pokmon in Masters EX that he doesn't use in the main series, including an Alolan Sandslash, Shiny Rayquaza, Deoxys, and Shiny Stoutland. Also in Emerald, while battling alongside him at the Mossdeep Space Center, if the player has a Pokémon with Guts out at the same time with Steven's Skarmory, it may attempt to target the player's Pokémon with Toxic to trigger the Ability. *Four out of five of Wallace's Pokémon in the Adventures manga are nicknamed, being Elizabeth the Luvdisc, Charles the Seaking, Richard the Sealeo, and Phillip the Whiscash. *It is implied via a show on the Variety channel in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 that Aaron used to be a Bug Catcher and a Sinnoh Gym Leader. He quit his Gym Leader role to be part of the Elite Four. *The only instance in a game where Bertha has a male Hippowdon is in her Sticker Template in BDSP. She is also the only Sinnoh Elite Four member in the anime to use a Pokémon from her Platinum team, being her Gliscor. *Buck is Flint's younger brother. Flint was also present for the first time Red definitely spoke in the series in a cutscene in Pokémon Masters EX, showing complete bewilderment at the situation. *In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Lucian's reading skills are shown to be great enough for him to easily finish a book in only a few mere moments. In addition, one of the old men on Route 228, who is found in all Sinnoh games sans Platinum, may be Lucian's grandfather, as he mentions he has a grandson who enjoys reading and who has a library of books on ESP. *Cynthia is not that hard, and she only seems that way because you, the player chose to make it difficult. This is because you used the most common DPP team: Infernape, Luxray, Staraptor, Floatzel, Lucario, and Garchomp. All of which fail to hit a majority of her Pokémon super effectively and have many weakness she can exploit. Even using a different starter will make her significantly easier. *According to an interview with Yusuke Ohmura in Nintendo Dream, Shauntal's theme is based on black cats. She is referred to as being seen as a catgirl and the ribbon around her neck is shaped like a cat's head (the brooch being the nose) *In that same interview, Marshal's theme is a street fighter and tiger, and his original design featured a large hood and cap. *Grimsley canonically has a gambling addiction. His appearance in Alola also confirms he has stepped down as an Elite Four member. *Caitlin dresses in the Japanese princess gal style. *Yusuke Ohmura has also mentioned that Alder's original design was "...far too 'evangelist-like.' He looked like Christ or something. But I couldn't get that image out of my head, so I consulted with Mr. Sugimori, who told me to dial back the evangelist schtick so he'd look like some kind of wanderer. *Iris considers Drayden to be her grandfather despite the two of them not being biologically related, affectionately referring to him as "Grandpa." He also brought her to Unova and gave her the clothes she wears in BW. Drayden then gave her Champion clothes in B2W2 to recognize her becoming the new Unova Champion. *Malva is the only Elite Four member from the first eight generations to not yet be recruitable in Pokémon Masters EX. She is also the only non-protagonist to have a starter Pokémon in the Adventures manga. *Siebold is mentioned to sometimes prepares meals for Grant and Valerie. *Kamado's armor in Legends: Arceus is extremely similar to Wikstrom's, which is stated to be from Galar. This could suggest Wikstrom or his family (one of knights) originally came from Galar. *Drasna considers Pokémon battles to be a form of play. Also in case you didn't know, her eye color is gray. *All of Diantha's party members has a different stat as their highest stat, being Hawlucha (Speed), Tyrantrum (Attack), Aurorus (HP), Gourgeist (Defense), Goodra (Special Defense), and Gardevoir (Special Attack). Diantha has a special costume in Masters EX that bears a heavy resemblance to Artoria Pendragon from the Fate/stay night visual novel. She also has a Keldeo and shiny Diance in that game. *Kukui battled Lance at one point, with Masters EX specifying it was during Lance's time as Champion. *Hala is the same height as a Charizard. *Olivia has several Stufful plushies in her house, including some that vibrate. Make of that what you will. *Acerola's anime in the anime is not only shiny, but confirmed to be deceased. It is a ghost of a Ghost-type. *Kahili is the daughter of the Hano Grand Resort's owner. Her Toucannon is also the only Pokmon to use Tailwind in the anime. *Molyane is the only Storage System developer to appear in the anime besides Bill. *Leon is also one of two characters to have a single digit uniform number, the other being Mustard. Mustard is another champion of Galar, having achieved the title 50 years prior to the game's events and held onto the title for 18 years. Peony also used to be Champion of Galar before resigning when Rose became the League chairman. *Rika has a cross-canon counterpart named Ricchina in the Scarlet & Violet arc of the Let's Play a Pokémon Card Game! manga. *Poppy tries to draw a picture of Geeta when you talk with Geeta in the League Club Room, which is a nod to Geeta's reference art, or settei. *The Pokémon: Paldean Winds anime shorts confirm that Larry has been part of the Paldea Pokémon League for 25 years. *The back vent on Hassel's coat is a possible reference to the capes worn by Dragon Tamers. *Geeta is shown in concept art to be fond of Poppy, giving her candy to keep in her key-shaped purse and spending time with her while Poppy draws. *Crispin will notice if the player does not put bread on top of their sandwich during his Elite Four trial, saying, "I'm a bit surprised you didn't put bread on top, though. Is that a Paldean thing...?" *Amarys mistakenly believes KoraidonS/MiraidonV is called “Agias”, due to its cry sounding as such. *While Lacey refers to her usage of Plusle and Minun in her first battle as her "Plus-Minus strategy", they each have their Hidden Abilities Lightning Rod and Volt Absorb rather than Plus and Minus, respectively, and her strategy relies on using Discharge to trigger them. *Drayton refers to meeting the player at the cafeteria as a "date", regardless of the player's gender.
Fun fact: The reason why Caitlin doesn't battle the player directly and is forced to make her buttler have the battle instead is because her family was afraid of her psychic powers. She was too powerful. At the time, she didn't have much control over her psychic powers and they feared that she could accidentally hurt someone if she ended up getting angry over losing a pokemon battle. That's why they made her buttler have the pokemon battles in her name instead. But she learned to control her emotions and thus, she now has control over her psychic powers as well. Which is why she was able to have battles on her own and eventually became an elite four member in Unova. Also, if you pay attention to Kahili's design, you'll notice that her hairstyle is meant to make her look as if she had wings. Which is a pretty clever way to show the fact that she's a flying type specialist. And Leon is the trainer with the biggest amount of sponsors in Galar. He gets his sponsors from: Galar Taxi, Cozy Fried Kitchen, Timburr Builders, Gramophone Records, Grow Sures, Pelipper Couriers (this one is a reference to mystery dungeon), No. 1 Pharmacy, Dream Dairy, Bookmark, Yoshida's Coffee (the logo on this one is based on the pokemon designer Hironobu Yoshida by the way) and, as the strongest champion, Leon also gets sponsored by Game Freak.
The 10 year-old thing is anime only. Red and Blue are 11 years old according to the manual in the first games and even if the player was meant to be controlling a 10 year old avatar, the fact that there's the youngster trainer class which is different from your own trainer class and clearly younger than something like the junior trainers or campers, definitely implies that anyone can get a Pokémon at practically any age.
1. Most underage NPCs that you battle don't own their pokemon. Poppy likely is the same as well. Her team is probably under the ownership of Geeta's. 2. being as young as she is, and with the topic of school life as the focus for scarlet and violet, Poppy is likely a gifted child. she can battle as well as an elite trainer when given the right pokemon. so geeta offered her a spot on the elite 4.
It's not typical for a trainer to get their first mon at 10. 10 is just the minimum age to register for most leagues and get a license for competitive pokemon matches. However having the smol child be an E4 member raises questions
Another fact about Agatha is that she was the only E4 member in the original Red and Blue that actually had a monotype team. And it wasn't even her stated type specialty, her entire team was poison type. Loreli had a Slowbro that wasn't ice type Bruno had his Onix that wasn't fighting type And Lance had a Dragonair that wasn't flying type
7:37. Cool theory about Alder. It is speculated, thanks to Legends Arceus, that he was actually the original Hero from the myths of Hisui that got transported in Unova. If that was the case it would explain why: He tends to get along with Cynthia, since she reminds him of Cogita, the woman who loved the Hero. He doesn’t know how to use the PC because he was used to put his Pokémon’s in the Pastures, as well as carrying them around Why in Pokemon Masters Ex, the Japanese VA talks with an obsolete Japanese. And if you take a look at when it was used, you will see that it would be around the same time that Legends takes place Cool thing about Rika too: in Japanese she uses a specific slang to talk and such slang never got translated in the other games, except in Italian. If you want to know how said slang sound like in Italian, go take a look at basically any of The Pruld’s work, because it’s fun as hell, and it reflects perfectly her sassy nature
We don't know who Cogita was talking about when she wrote about that. Wasn't it implied that the hero would have been much earlier than her too? She seems to come from the waning days of the Celestica given that she calls herself their descendant rather than one of them directly.
@@BJGvideos thanks to the poems we know that she was essentially talking about the Hero’s deeds. We don’t know for how long, but we know that she is close to centuries old, since she was chosen to be the bearer of the knowledge of the ancient people from Sinnoh, to then spread said knowledge to someone deemed worthy. That’s why her plot line from Legends is that she got manipulated by Volo to tell all of the secrets, only to stop at the right timing after the protagonist comes to save Hisui
Can confirm, Italian Rika caught me completely off-guard the first time. Adding to the slang thing, she doesn't use it during the league quiz, but immediately turns it back on as soon as you pass.
@@bluekirby_64 true right? Those are the small things that make a character stand out, and in her case I simply adore it, making her one of my favorite amongst the Elite Four E poi dai, immaginarsela con la voce di Paride mi fa sbregare dalle risate ogni volta che la vedo. Ora come ora che è in Masters ancor di più
The only elite four in the main games that use the doubles format. which is already hard by itself compared to singles. Now, Technically the Star tournament is a predesessor to that, but since galar dosent have an elite 4 that you can battle, that kindof dosent count.
Wow, my knowledge of flowers actually comes in useful for once. Chrysanthemums are considered a “unalivement flower” and are frequently seen at funerals or given as bereavement gifts. It makes perfect sense that a Ghost-Type trainer would have these flowers mentioned in their name.
A bonus fact for Acerola, while she does have a Shiny Mimikyu in the anime, however her Mimikyu is actually "dead" so it's a ghost OF a Ghost type Pokemon. This is shown in the anime when it tries to attack the Greedy Rapooh (a nickname for a totem-sized Gengar that broke from a shrine) with Shadow Claw to save Acerola, only for it to phase right through it.
...a ghost of a ghost type? Has that ever happened before? I can't recall a time of that ever happening. The closest I can think of is the ghost of the cubone's mother, but...at that point it's just a ghost, not a pokemon. Also....does that make actual ghost types alive _again?_ Or are there two stages of death?
@@theamazingspooderman2697 If you think about it, Ghost Pokemon aren’t TRULY ghosts as they can still be hatched from eggs just like every other Pokemon. Seems to me they're just animals with some ghost like properties. And we see an actual Ghost or what many would call the soul of a Pokemon, the spirit of the Cubone’s mother.
@theonlineninja7596 you hit the nail on the head, they aren't actually dead, just creatures with the same properties as Ghost (Ghost Freak from Ben 10 and Danny Phantom being good comparisons). The Marowak Ghost from Gen 1 is a true Pokemon that died and became a ghost
For Agatha, the chrysanthemum is also widely used to pay respects to the deceased when visiting the cemetery, so i guess that's why her name uses that flower
That is a neat detail with Lorelei. Funnily enough, Saguaro kind of does too. He uses a whole female team. Also, that really works with Leon seeing as how his throwing option is one the player can change to in Indigo Disc
@@Kali_Krause The anime elite 4 had megas, the games did not. Correction for Siebold, Siebold appeared in the Mega evolution special episodes, and he had a Mega Blastoise. in the same episodes, Malva has Mega Houndoom. Wikstrom has Mega Scizor in the Diancie Movie intro. And we see in the ranked battle for Drasna, She does have Mega Altaria.
The remake of Kalos must have this fixed or everyone will be piss off! The Kalos League not having a rematch (and NOT using megas) is insanely ridiculous!
Since Kieran wasn’t mentioned I guess here’s a fun fact about him that I could think of (blueberry spoilers btw) Kieran uses a master ball to capture and use terapagos against the player and that master ball is given to any blueberry champion as when you defeat Kieran you’re rewarded with a master ball
Some other funky facts from Pokemon Masters for these guys: Lance outright stated that not all dragon pokemon have to be a dragon type lmao Steven has confirmed twice in ORAS's Delta Episode and in the event where he got his shiny Rayquaza that he met a trainer with Mega Charizard X (Alain) while battling Mega Rayquaza in the past Wallace despite being a gym leader in ORAS, he actually acted as the "champion" in Hoenn Champion Stadium with his own Champion theme. Flint was the only Elite 4 for Sinnoh in Master for more than 3 year before all 3 other dropped at the same time. Cynthia's Giratina debuted one month before PLA came out, so she was a blantant foreshadowing together with her Decisive battle theme for Volo Malva is the only Elite 4 who actually killed people lmao Acerola does have a Mimikyu in Pokemon Masters, if you wanna be slightly technical lol Rika is hinted to be from Johto, since she can immediately recognise Whitney's accent based on the Japanese dialogue due to RIka does use Kansai-ben in SV and Masters
I was wondering where Peony and Mustard were and was gonna give a random fact for both but was lazy so. Mustard plays video games and was addicted to them after retiring from champion. Peony and Oliana have a funny dialogue in the DLC. Yeah, that's it.
Oh yeah, Oleana can't find Rose even though she should KNOW where he is (prison) and for some reason she's trying to find him at a cemetery and this is never explained.
I can give you one for Peony: Dialogue in the Mochi Mayhem epilogue of Scarlet and Violet implies that Penny is his daughter. In the DLC, Penny says that her dad would often take her on "Adven-tours."
If you didnt cheese your way in the Indigo disk DLC with a full level 100 team, The Blue Berry Academy Elite Four are actually the strongest elite four of any main series games thus far. At least in my opinion.
1:49 small fun fact about chrysanthemums in agatha's design - in many european countries, for example Italy and Poland those flowers symbolise death and are used during All Saint's Day as grave decoration, as a gift for all the loved ones that are not with as anymore, for me a perfect design choice for ghost type elite 4 member
1:49 Of course it meant something! Chrisanteum are the flowers people usually put on graves and it represents grieve! That’s very fitting for someone with a ghost team.
Other facts: Drasna is the only Kalos Elite Four member to not have debut in the XY anime through any means (Malva was Mega Evolution Specials and the main series, Wikstrom was the Diancie Movie and Siebold appeared in the first Mega Evolution special where he used Mega Blastoise to defeat Alain's Mega Charizard X). Bertha is the only Sinnoh Elite Four member who never fought Cynthia on screen in the DP anime Caitlin is the only Unova Elite Four member to appear in the anime (and never met Ash. Would have been cool if she did.) Alder is the only Champion to have not lost onscreen in the anime Cynthia had the longest winning streak of 704 episodes in the anime (Top Down Training (her debut episode) to Whittle While you Work (loses the Masters Eight match to Ash)). Leon uses all three Galar starters in his match against Ash since Ash never obtained one in the anime.
Bonus fact about Steven Stone. His French name Pierre means Rock in French, which is why Brock also shares the name. Steven's last name, Rochard, is also a pun for Boulder, which is "Rocher" in French. Another word for rocks, pebbles, etc in French is "Caillou". So needless to say I understand why Brock and Steven shared a name.
Leon could also be a reference to a Goalkeeper in soccer/football, as goalkeeper will throw the ball in a similar manner, and their jerseys tend to be different from the rest of the team. Nit sure if someone pointed this out already, I'm too lazy to look, honestly.
Drayton having Pokeballs is a neat detail. Based on how you view it, its either him being lazy and buying the cheapest pokeball, Or its drayton showing that he does put effort into stuff he really cares about (like him trying to return the BB league back to its former self)
Fun Fact: Drasna is the only elite 4 member that speaks to the player more then twice in her elite 4 chamber first before her elite for fight, second after you defeat her and third she will stop you to talk to the player as they leave her chamber
Drayton using normal pokeballs is pretty on brand for his character though. His whole schtick is that he's a slacker, so it tracks that he wouldn't even take the time to use special balls to catch his pokemon.
Agatha and Lance originally had only the Gengar and Dragonite families respectively to represent their type. Agatha actually had more poison than ghost types and Lance has an equal amount of dragon and flying types initially.
@@AznYunHou 10 is well established to be the legal age to "Own" a pokemon. so many of the underage trainers you battle, like poke kids, school kids and twins, don't own their pokemon, and are likely owned by their parents or older sibling. Poppy is likely the same case. Her pokemon are LIKELY Geeta's. and the reason why she's an elite four? is that she is a gifted child. Her elite four training is sponsored by Geeta.
Wait what about kirean and Nemona, those 2 are champions, also if you added kukui then you should have also added hau as like kukui he’s the final person you battle for the title of champion in USUM
I think the chrysanthemum reference in Agatha's Japanese name comes down to her being a ghost type trainer, as crysanthemums in the west are typically used as a funeral flower. However my theory here does have a fairly major hole, being that Japan doesn't apply the same meaning to chrysanthemums, instead having them as the symbol for the imperial royal family. I guess it's down to one's interpretation.
Not necessarily a fact, but there is a chance that all the members of the BB league are related to unovan gym leaders. It’s already confirmed that Lacey is Clays Daughter and Drayton is Draydens grandson, but there is a possibility that Crispen may be related to Chili due to both being fire type experts who cook. Amarys is a bit of a stretch but she might be related to Lenora
genuinely thought lorelei's fact was gonna be the thing with her plushies in the sevii islands where she'll get a new plushie for every 25 times you beat the elite four. also, if you end up doing one fact about every other trainer in the games, mina is the only character introduced in gen 7 to be present in every gen 7 main series game, since she's the only one in sun and moon, ultra sun and ultra moon, and let's go pikachu and eevee.
Types that haven’t been used for elite 4 battles are: Grass Electric Normal Types that only used once or haven’t used in a long time are: Water Bug Fighting Poison Ice Psychic Rock Ghost Dark Fairy Gen 10 elite 4 idea: 1. Grass 2. Rock 3. Poison 4. Electric (These are the elite four that haven’t used grass or electric before and rock and poison are used by elite four that haven’t been elite four during their debut games)
Actually, Agatha being associated with those flowers makes sense because in the language of flowers, they represent peace, longevity, nobility and are often left on graves and brought ti funerals out of respect for the dead. All things that fit Agatha to a tee.
Well regarding Gengar, not just Pheobe even Ryme(Paldea), Acerola(in the games) & Shauntal don't have Gengar as their teammate. Shauntal only uses it in the Challenge mode battle. Damm she caught a Ghost type that doesn't even exist in B2W2
Olivia is the only Elite Four member that specializes in Rock type Pokémon. Bruno: Am I a joke to... oh sh*t that's right. Also, haha you said "heavy balls"
10:26 Where’s Hau? Like I get he waited to have a champion battle, instead of becoming champion in USUM. Did nothing interesting pop up for him? It’s probably that.
Here's a fact for the Elite 4s and a fact for the Champions. The Elite 4s ignored three Types being Normal, Grass, and Electric while every last Champion annoyingly have Type shares in their teams.
I am disappointed that Caitlyn's fact isn't the fact that she is the only Elite Four member who was a part of the Battle Frontier. In Plat/HGSS, she's the true Frontier Brain for the Battle Castle, but has her butler fight for her.

Is that a Paldean thing...?"
*Amarys mistakenly believes KoraidonS/MiraidonV is called “Agias”, due to its cry sounding as such.
Iirc you also have a dinner date with Olivia regardless of gender
You said Accerola's anime instead of Mimikyu. Also the Mimikyu was called Mimikins
That's an interesting realization for Cynthia there
Fun fact: The reason why Caitlin doesn't battle the player directly and is forced to make her buttler have the battle instead is because her family was afraid of her psychic powers.
He gets his sponsors from:
Galar Taxi, Cozy Fried Kitchen, Timburr Builders, Gramophone Records, Grow Sures, Pelipper Couriers (this one is a reference to mystery dungeon), No. 1 Pharmacy, Dream Dairy, Bookmark, Yoshida's Coffee (the logo on this one is based on the pokemon designer Hironobu Yoshida by the way) and, as the strongest champion, Leon also gets sponsored by Game Freak.
We’ve come so far from gen 1’s rule of “trainers typically get their first Pokémon at age 10” to a nine year old being on the Elite Four
@@MagusAgrippa8 still funny though
@@SkippyKairos oh, 100%. Poppy being so young is arguably one of the funniest things that they could've done.
Loreli had a Slowbro that wasn't ice type
Bruno had his Onix that wasn't fighting type
And Lance had a Dragonair that wasn't flying type
RE: Lance, to be honest he's jokingly called a 'Flying type trainer' for a reason.
"Bird Keeper Lance" is one of my favorite jokes to come out of Gen 1.
7:37. Cool theory about Alder. It is speculated, thanks to Legends Arceus, that he was actually the original Hero from the myths of Hisui that got transported in Unova. If that was the case it would explain why:
He tends to get along with Cynthia, since she reminds him of Cogita, the woman who loved the Hero.
He doesn’t know how to use the PC because he was used to put his Pokémon’s in the Pastures, as well as carrying them around
Why in Pokemon Masters Ex, the Japanese VA talks with an obsolete Japanese. And if you take a look at when it was used, you will see that it would be around the same time that Legends takes place
Cool thing about Rika too: in Japanese she uses a specific slang to talk and such slang never got translated in the other games, except in Italian.
Those are the small things that make a character stand out, and in her case I simply adore it, making her one of my favorite amongst the Elite Four
E poi dai, immaginarsela con la voce di Paride mi fa sbregare dalle risate ogni volta che la vedo. Ora come ora che è in Masters ancor di più
You forgot the BB League champ Kieran. He's gonna be livid about being forgotten.
the bb league elite four has to be the hardest elite four ever.
The only elite four in the main games that use the doubles format.
which is already hard by itself compared to singles.
Now, Technically the Star tournament is a predesessor to that, but since galar dosent have an elite 4 that you can battle, that kindof dosent count.
Leaving out Kieran is kinda crazy
Where’s my boy Kieran 😢
I was wondering the same 😢
imagine having Green/Gary, and trace who is a rival AND a champion later in the story for the video, but not Keiran?
Bruh.
Hasn't been seen since 1979
I can't believe he forgot the NEWEST champion.
He even did the elite 4 to put salt in the wound.
Wow, my knowledge of flowers actually comes in useful for once. Chrysanthemums are considered a “unalivement flower” and are frequently seen at funerals or given as bereavement gifts. It makes perfect sense that a Ghost-Type trainer would have these flowers mentioned in their name.
It's also the symbol of the Japanese Monarchy. It's called the chrysanthemum throne.
You don't need to use euphemisms for death, youtubers only do this to not be demonetized
@@lerdog I’ve gotten commends deleted for doing it. RUclips has no mercy.
Also....does that make actual ghost types alive _again?_ Or are there two stages of death?
how does that even make any sense?
@@theamazingspooderman2697 If you think about it, Ghost Pokemon aren’t TRULY ghosts as they can still be hatched from eggs just like every other Pokemon. Seems to me they're just animals with some ghost like properties. And we see an actual Ghost or what many would call the soul of a Pokemon, the spirit of the Cubone’s mother.
@theonlineninja7596 you hit the nail on the head, they aren't actually dead, just creatures with the same properties as Ghost (Ghost Freak from Ben
10 and Danny Phantom being good comparisons).
The Marowak Ghost from Gen 1 is a true Pokemon that died and became a ghost
I love how over the years the snorlax sprites get closer to him standing up and it looks like he had multiple failed attempts 1:47
I love the detail of Dragon paw on Iris shoes, that attention to detail
For Agatha, the chrysanthemum is also widely used to pay respects to the deceased when visiting the cemetery, so i guess that's why her name uses that flower
You forgot Kirien in the Blueberry league
nah kieran sucks
@@spiky_dude irrelevant, he's a champion anyway
@@spiky_dudeyap yap yap

That is a neat detail with Lorelei. Funnily enough, Saguaro kind of does too. He uses a whole female team.
Also, that really works with Leon seeing as how his throwing option is one the player can change to in Indigo Disc
I was so excited to discover that Easter egg. I had to trade with a friend to get it, though.
Malva does use a Mega Houndoom in the Anime, so they could have just added that to her team if they wanted to have Elite Four rematches.
giving an Elite Four a Mega in the region where Mega Evolution was introduced? too much work for GF
Every Kalos elite 4 member should have had a mega evolution:
Malva- Mega Houndoom
Wilkstrom- Mega Scizor
Drasna- Mega Altaria
Siebold- Mega Gyarados
@@Kali_Krause The anime elite 4 had megas, the games did not.
Correction for Siebold, Siebold appeared in the Mega evolution special episodes, and he had a Mega Blastoise.
in the same episodes, Malva has Mega Houndoom.
Wikstrom has Mega Scizor in the Diancie Movie intro.
And we see in the ranked battle for Drasna, She does have Mega Altaria.
@@Kali_Krause After the special of mega evolution, a Mega Blastoise is the only good choice for Siebold, in my opinion. It suits well with him :v
The remake of Kalos must have this fixed or everyone will be piss off! The Kalos League not having a rematch (and NOT using megas) is insanely ridiculous!
Since Kieran wasn’t mentioned I guess here’s a fun fact about him that I could think of (blueberry spoilers btw)
Kieran uses a master ball to capture and use terapagos against the player and that master ball is given to any blueberry champion as when you defeat Kieran you’re rewarded with a master ball
Some other funky facts from Pokemon Masters for these guys:
Lance outright stated that not all dragon pokemon have to be a dragon type lmao
Steven has confirmed twice in ORAS's Delta Episode and in the event where he got his shiny Rayquaza that he met a trainer with Mega Charizard X (Alain) while battling Mega Rayquaza in the past
Wallace despite being a gym leader in ORAS, he actually acted as the "champion" in Hoenn Champion Stadium with his own Champion theme.
Flint was the only Elite 4 for Sinnoh in Master for more than 3 year before all 3 other dropped at the same time.
Cynthia's Giratina debuted one month before PLA came out, so she was a blantant foreshadowing together with her Decisive battle theme for Volo
Malva is the only Elite 4 who actually killed people lmao
Acerola does have a Mimikyu in Pokemon Masters, if you wanna be slightly technical lol
Rika is hinted to be from Johto, since she can immediately recognise Whitney's accent based on the Japanese dialogue due to RIka does use Kansai-ben in SV and Masters
I can give you one for Peony:
Dialogue in the Mochi Mayhem epilogue of Scarlet and Violet implies that Penny is his daughter. In the DLC, Penny says that her dad would often take her on "Adven-tours."
@@coreylineberry8557 I was sleepy ay like 5 am in the morning there so like thanks
If you didnt cheese your way in the Indigo disk DLC with a full level 100 team, The Blue Berry Academy Elite Four are actually the strongest elite four of any main series games thus far. At least in my opinion.
Still mad gamefreak locked a core gameplay feature like rematching the Elite 4 behind a 35 dollar DLC.
What about Kieran??
..Where's Kieran?
Rival fact
I cant be the iy one who thought Poppy from Scarlet & Violet was a toddler
nope! I thought she was 5 years old! Well, at least that's not bad, but still..! HOW IS A CHILD AN ELITE FOUR MEMBER?! Pokemon, We need answers!!
I seriously feel like she may be lying about her age. Dendra as well--that woman is NOT twenty five.
@@BJGvideos who? Poppy lying about her age?
Given the switch games can have accurate sizes for characters...
With poppy's height
I can't blame you.
@@BJGvideos Why would Dendra lie about her age? She is clearly a fit young adult.
Acerola's Mimikyu is also canonically dead. I mean as a ghost of a ghost type...it's weird
For the fact on glacier she can be found in the restaurant at new mauvile in ORAS after defeating the league
Isn't New Mauville the power plant? It should just be Mauville City
You can also find Roxanne, Lisa/Tate and Flannery around the region
She doesn't appear at the restaurant. She's just *mentioned* to visit it.
New Mauville is the power plant in the outskirts. I get what you're trying to say but it's still just referred to as Mauville City.
It’s about time for a new video! We need more updates!
his last was almost a week ago.
Why isn't Kieran here if the BB e4 is?
You should give us a fact about Kieran i mean he is a former champion in the scarlet and violet dlc
WHERE'S KIERAN?! HE'S THE BLUEBERRY CHAMPION (before we beat him, but that goes for all champions)
You forgot the BB league champion
1:49 Of course it meant something! Chrisanteum are the flowers people usually put on graves and it represents grieve! That’s very fitting for someone with a ghost team.
Other facts:
Drasna is the only Kalos Elite Four member to not have debut in the XY anime through any means (Malva was Mega Evolution Specials and the main series, Wikstrom was the Diancie Movie and Siebold appeared in the first Mega Evolution special where he used Mega Blastoise to defeat Alain's Mega Charizard X).
Bertha is the only Sinnoh Elite Four member who never fought Cynthia on screen in the DP anime
Caitlin is the only Unova Elite Four member to appear in the anime (and never met Ash. Would have been cool if she did.)
Alder is the only Champion to have not lost onscreen in the anime
Cynthia had the longest winning streak of 704 episodes in the anime (Top Down Training (her debut episode) to Whittle While you Work (loses the Masters Eight match to Ash)).
Leon uses all three Galar starters in his match against Ash since Ash never obtained one in the anime.
Fun fact about the Alola Elite 4: In Sun And Moon, none of their specialty types share a weakness.
6:09 as the destroyer of worlds would say: “PINKU JANAI, MAGENTA DA”
Decade…..never heard of you for a long time.
6:08 as a passing through Kamen Rider once said: Pinku janai, magenta da!
Leon could also be a reference to a Goalkeeper in soccer/football, as goalkeeper will throw the ball in a similar manner, and their jerseys tend to be different from the rest of the team.
Nit sure if someone pointed this out already, I'm too lazy to look, honestly.
About Agatha and chrysanthemums- I don't know how about Japan, but in Poland, these flowers are put on graves, so this fits Agatha well
Thats actually a very cool fact, is there an official Polish name for her?
ive been watching you for yearssssss
Drayton having Pokeballs is a neat detail. Based on how you view it, its either him being lazy and buying the cheapest pokeball, Or its drayton showing that he does put effort into stuff he really cares about (like him trying to return the BB league back to its former self)
Fun Fact: Drasna is the only elite 4 member that speaks to the player more then twice in her elite 4 chamber first before her elite for fight, second after you defeat her and third she will stop you to talk to the player as they leave her chamber
I love most of the elite 4 and champions. Aw but no Kieran tho 😿
7:22 marshal changed from mienshao to conkeldurr
Fan fact abt Will: he never appeared in the anime....
Neither did Karen
I don’t believe Karen did either. It’s a shame, really. I would’ve loved to see how Will was presented.
Drayton using normal pokeballs is pretty on brand for his character though. His whole schtick is that he's a slacker, so it tracks that he wouldn't even take the time to use special balls to catch his pokemon.
Agatha's name actually does mean something, the chrysanthemum is associated with death and funerals in many cultures. And she is a Ghost-type trainer.
Another cool fact about the paldean E4 is that they are the first team to appear together in the anime, alongside Geeta.
I think you forgot Peony, Mustard, Nemona and Kieran (and that Drayton is a formal Champion on BB League) on this list, but cool video O/
every BBE4 member using fancy balls and drayton just using pokeballs is SO in character for him lmfao
Agatha and Lance originally had only the Gengar and Dragonite families respectively to represent their type. Agatha actually had more poison than ghost types and Lance has an equal amount of dragon and flying types initially.
Fun fact there is no grass type elite four member
This is the first video I have seen mention the Marshal Conkeldur thing, with the exception of the video that credited *me* for telling them about it.
6:30 I think if they gave Cynthia's Togekiss the combo of serene grace and air slash, that would have qualified as bullying the player😂
Regarding the fact about Flint, I think you should have mentioned that he WAS the only one to use seals, in BDSP every important trainer uses those.
It still blows my mind poppy is an elite 4 member she's just a kid
And she's 9. ... I thought she's like 6 or 5! Which doesn't make this mind boggling information less painful!
@@lightninggreninja4676 she doesn't even look close like she'd be a starting trainer of the claimed "10 year old" age for Anime
Same, and I’m baffled at how strong she is.
Wait what about kirean and Nemona, those 2 are champions, also if you added kukui then you should have also added hau as like kukui he’s the final person you battle for the title of champion in USUM
Larry was a normal type gym leader in Hoenn and he is who Norman replaces when they move to the region
0:32 is that a Hunter’s Mark tattoo? That’s a sub right there
He gets the arguably WRST Eevelution in gen 1 if you LOSE to him, I guess he was like "I know this thing sucks, so... I'm going easy on you!"

Kahili is a golfer who uses flying type.
IT TOOK ME FAR TO LONG TO GET THAT JOKE.
Poppy being 9 years old is the biggest twist of all.
Black and White 3 better have an Elite Four Tournament in the PWT or I'm going to lose it
With Poppy's fact, she might be the youngest league staff member in Pokémon's history if Allister and the twins are older than her.
