    Is it strange for the marketing agent to ask for your socials? If you’ve already submitted them through the housing portal?

    I got approved and moved in 3 years ago to new housing connect 🎉....But each rent lease renewal they raise the rent which i think is reasonable, But I don't get is why each renewal i have to send a separate check/money order with the amount they are renewing my rent too why ? Does anyone have this occurred at their building

      Do they check your income every year ?

    • @thatchickzsa
      @thatchickzsa 15 дней назад

      Some buildings do based on the management company. My building only ask if I'm in school full time every year. If you are they ask you to leave. Other buildings just send you a renewal lease every year. @@CocoWidsomStar

    Hey thank you for the great info, This was actually really helpful! I have a family member who also won the apt lottery and she wasnt even this thorough lol I've just started to look into the process, and this gave me great perspective. I was wondering what you guys do for a living and income, if possible, and how that influenced the application perhaps, as well as other stats like credit score etc, if possible (without any invasive details for the internet lol) From my understanding, as long as you fit the bill when it comes to the income bracket u apply to, then you're good, potentially despite anythg else. But I do wonder what else could influence the process. My fam member works for a hospital, as a medical assistant, and I heard they take priority but idk how true that is. I work in the service industry and live in brooklyn myself, and I think I might stay in brooklyn. I also heard if you can only apply in the borough you currently live in, but u guys went from ues to bk, so that gives me hope in terms of options etc, and also that ur process was able to get done in a few months, I heard it could take up to a few years, I assume it depends. Would love to see an apt tour, if that's a video idea you had in mind! Im aiming for one with tons of light, and would like to live alone so I'm hopefully applying for potentially a studio or 1 bdroom. Was wondering how it works when it comes to
    I choosing that as well. Thank you again for the helpful video! and sorry for all the q's and the lengthy inquiry lol

      ChatGPT! It is an AI tool you can access through their website. I typed up a message about my situation and provided as much information as I could to generate an email to appeal their rejection! Super useful tool 😊

      Thank you mamita. You've completed a huge part of adulthood. I too, won the Housing Connect lottery and live in Greenpoint. My experience was very smoothly but waited for 3 years. I have some people that ask me questions and your information will be helpful yo them. God bless and be save.

    I’m a bit confused on how they select people? Is this not based on those in dire need of housing?

      It goes based off your income. If you end up making more money & they find out, eventually your rent will go up.

    Hey Jordan, i won the lottery n it says log #80's for woodside. So that means i can purchase 1bedroom apt. for $50k n then there is maintence for 1K a month.. still decent but what's keeping me from pursueing is..the fear of quality of people living there... seems like this is called ''housing projects''' n ppl there r mostly crimnals n brokie's... what do you think of these lottery housing are like? is it worth it..
    Also if i apply n send in $75 fee.. when do i get the place? there is waiting list right.. so if my log #80 that likely means 80 people are ahead in queue.. right? so may be my number will come up in 3-4 yrs? or more... so is it worth it to apply it?
