To confirm, this is not a Profit or Loss episode 😊 EDIT: I done a community post over a month ago asking if people wanted a big episode with 10 Switches that wouldn’t be included in Profit or Loss, or if people would rather I split them up and used them in Profit or Loss. 77% of people said one big episode that wasn’t profit or loss. I gave what I thought people wanted, but my mistake was not mentioning this in the video and explaining that. Apologies ❤❤
I'm glad this wasn't a profit or loss. This type of video will bring in a new audience, and I especially like how you've explained everything for new watchers (i.e. if the multimeter does this, then it's because of that). You can't really explain everything in every episode of POL so these videos every now and again are refreshing. Nice one.
Really enjoyed the longer form content, sometimes I struggle to keep concerntration for longer videos but i was captivated the whole time. Found the added info at the end about selling vs just fixing, along with how many hours etc really interesting too! Would love to see more videos like this one!
Like the repair service potential revenue breakdown. BTW no Sally’s spectacular spreadsheet today? Looks like the profit might put you over the top for this series! Great vid as usual.
That was nice, Joey! It's a bit upsetting that a few of them had no problems whatsoever, but it's still nice that you can go through different issues. I would love to see some other non-staples electronics being fixed too (the other guy I used to watch isn't recommended anymore). Finally subscribed, after watching a bunch of your videos. Forgot to say: my favorite part about your videos is that you're very direct, please keep being like that.
Much appreciated on explaining your process here. I've watched a bunch but can be pretty slow on the uptake so I liked getting a better grasp of certain things.
I think you can make it to 100,000 subs Joey! Keep at it, I watch your stuff even before Northridge Fix's videos. Love the chill feel of your vids. This video was an excellent introduction to your channel, and why it's worth subscribing
Great job Joey. I think the water damaged one is fixable. The damage is not severe, just a few caps and resistors. The flex cable can be cleaned. You should reconsider give it a chance.
Joey! Can you show a wide angle of the setup when you are using hot air from under the board at 1:38? Is the board in a vise of some sort? Hanging off the edge of the desk?
Great video. I would love seeing more videos like this. Job lots on eBay would be a fun format to try on this channel. I learn so much from watching you`re videos. Keep going strong Joey :D
great video and i loved you explained so much. I will probably never open a switch or do any work like that. But i love to learn all the little tricks haha! I hope you can fix at least 5 of them. In future videos i would love you explaining more stuff, even the basic ones. I watched like 15 videos but i wasn't really sure what flux does, or what a beep means, why it should or shouldn't be beeping kekw
i would love to see the water damage unit being fixed, would show us how good you became fixing consoles, not sellable, yes, but definitively fun to watch
Well... Sorry i wrote 6 out of 10 and sorry that wasn't on the series and if it was on episode 100 that would have been FREAKING AWESOME, however thank GOD for the success on the new beginning and I WISH YOU THE SAME LUCK & SUCCESS IN THE UPCOMING VIDEOS AND ALSO WISH YOU REACH 100K SUBSCRIBERS BEFORE THE END OF 2024, GOOD LUCK BUDDY
7 repairs. 8 out of 10; Fantastic! This isn't part of the regular Profit and Loss? Sorry, I might have missed something. Awesome Repairs and Video! Thank You.
Got any switch lite boards , not worried about chips or connectors I have one that has been swiped with soldering iron whilst changing m92. So a few caps / resistors missing. By the way really enjoy watching your videos.
Item number 3 - that could be backlight issue. So actually you getting charging symbol but screen is dark because backlight is dead. You can always use flashlight in corner to see the logo.
Crazy how just using these switches in the last 3/4 profit or loss episodes would have ended the season. Episode 24 joey was at 600 profit. Got right to having the end in sight again and then boom massive loss. I love your videos joey but it’s screaming out that there’s some selective process for profit or loss now. Just finish the first season and keep going with new seasons of profit or loss bro. We’re all still here and you can make 35 seasons if needed. We’ll still watch them!
I see how it looks completely! This was specifically recorded about two-three weeks ago, trust me I have no intention of forcibly extending the series any longer than it has to be 😊 I put a question out on my RUclips to see how many people would prefer me fixing 10 Nintendo Switches in one video instead of using them for Profit or Loss and 77% of people asked for this episode :) ruclips.net/user/postUgkxDnqgoy5MRUlvGt9QtpcLTxPqVUCDLiEp
When ive had bad wifi Nintendo switches. Ive noticed that if you cinnect to a wireless g router, then they dont fault out, so i make sure i leave them on wireless n router on sleep for a few days. Ive never had success in reflows, only seems a temporary fix. Also double check the Bluetooth, joy cons/audio. As same chip.
I think you will successfully fix seven out of the ten! Let’s see! Edit: so seven of them were absolutely fixed and one was kind of fixed. Joey? I LOVE watching and listening to you. Thank you!
Is there a video of JDT replacing an sd card slot off a NS Lite. My kid NS lite card keeps disconnecting, forcing the switch to turn off. I have cleaned it and switched the sd card, but the issue remains.
with a usb c port. does it even matter turning it upside down? as far as i know it's symmetrical. (meaning the only time turning it around should work is when the cable itself is broken)
5 you will fix, 5 for spares. right, playing the video @JoeyDoesTech , nice 8/10 fix, but wasnt this the profit or loss series? Have you passed the £1000 mark with these repairs?
23:00 Would this be a good excuse for you to clean it with dry ice? I've seen what it can do with car parts and I wonder if it'd be equally useful with cleaning the green gunk off the board, before you replace the parts that need replacing.
imagine opening one of these up. diagnosing a power issue. take the thing appart and attempt to fix the power issue. breaking the screen ribbon cable connector when reassembling. and thinking your power issue didn't get fixed and then sell it for pennies on the dollar. only to then see it here and see it was just a bent pin on a connector.
First of all I like your content. But I wish you could go little bit deeper on your fixes.. Not just randomly changing components, I mean that for example Switch can turn on without P13USB.. or MT92T36 is used for USB-C charging, so you remove it and boot up from fully charged battery and completely remove that chip from equation.
To confirm, this is not a Profit or Loss episode 😊

Why?
@@TahaUsman0804 just wanted to try a different format with 10 switches :)
@@JoeyDoesTech this would have ended season 1 for sure
I really enjoyed it😊
Definitely 💯 @@d33dub
Nothing like opening up RUclips on a Saturday morning and seeing Joey has just put up another video. You just made my day infinitely better :)
That’s very kind of you, thank you :)

The thumbnail is hilarious 🤣. Sad that its not an Profit or Loss episode 😭
Tasteful. I approve 😊

My favourite console to watch getting fixed. Thank you so much!
With No. 3 I am guessing that maybe it is in Auto RCM Mode? Then you got a reduced charging speed aswell...
Ok what's that? What's fix
Like the repair service potential revenue breakdown. BTW no Sally’s spectacular spreadsheet today? Looks like the profit might put you over the top for this series! Great vid as usual.
Not a profit or loss ep
I guess 8 repaired...You're THAT good! NAILED IT!
Congratulations Joey I’ve been watching since very early teens of this series.
Onto season 2 babehhhh! Well done mate!
Thanks!
I've been watching from the beginning, and I gotta say I absolutely love your SMD soldering technique!!!
That was nice, Joey!
It's a bit upsetting that a few of them had no problems whatsoever, but it's still nice that you can go through different issues.

I love that you are explaining much more then normal , keep your good work. i love your videos!
I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I still have no idea what you're doing 😅😅 but i still find it interesting 😊

Appreciate how informative this video was. explaining what and why you are doing each thing is super helpful.
Loved the video Joey and all the extra explaining of what you are doing and why you're doing it. Great stuff. Those units looked really mint as well
Joey! Can you show a wide angle of the setup when you are using hot air from under the board at 1:38? Is the board in a vise of some sort? Hanging off the edge of the desk?
Just found your channel, what an absolute gem! I instantly subscribed. Thanks!
Thanks :) welcome!
30mA = 0.03A - but loving the content
Phew.... I thought that was the end of profit or loss then! Excellent video, lovely profit, and an awsome ebay seller😁

seeing joey being so open about his processes it prove's there are good blokes on the planet
7 repairs. 8 out of 10; Fantastic! This isn't part of the regular Profit and Loss? Sorry, I might have missed something. Awesome Repairs and Video! Thank You.
Was great, nice to see so high percentage succes in repair :)
Those same water damage stickers go off with heat as well
I really appreciate the labor breakdown, thank you.
Excellent video buddy!
Thank you pal! Hope you're well :)
Great video Joey. I really enjoyed it and appreciate your style and effort.
10 out of 10!!! I'm always believe in you!!!
I liked the longer style format. Maybe it can be it's own thing whenever you strike lucky with a batch.
I was hopeful for 7. 8 out of 10 is an 80% success rate. Nicely done!
Got any switch lite boards , not worried about chips or connectors I have one that has been swiped with soldering iron whilst changing m92. So a few caps / resistors missing. By the way really enjoy watching your videos.
Wow joey i remember when i subscribed to your channel +- one year ago, now you have 70K!!! Congrats! 🎉
I'm waiting for your videos like a cat in front of a closed fishing box. 😂😂I hope that the successes will continue. I wish you peace and good evening
Item number 3 - that could be backlight issue. So actually you getting charging symbol but screen is dark because backlight is dead. You can always use flashlight in corner to see the logo.
I'm interested in where you get your replacement parts for the circuit boards, in the Xbox 1?
really enjoyed this kind of video!
Great vid as usual, consoles fixed... Hairline fixed... Can't go wrong 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾🤭
After market digitizers are not so great. Did a repair and had to use the original one because the after market ones did not work correctly.
10, good job I didn't use any RP's, but 8/10 is a good result Joey
I am going to say all ten and show that I have faith in your ability to get them repaired.
Crazy how just using these switches in the last 3/4 profit or loss episodes would have ended the season. Episode 24 joey was at 600 profit. Got right to having the end in sight again and then boom massive loss.

@@JoeyDoesTech you know what to do next then joey!!! 10 switches for the final profit or loss 😉
Hey Joey,
Have you checked the „no power“ ones, if they are maybe in RCM Mode?
When ive had bad wifi Nintendo switches. Ive noticed that if you cinnect to a wireless g router, then they dont fault out, so i make sure i leave them on wireless n router on sleep for a few days.

Thank you Danella, appreciate it! :)
See I have faith in joey, I think he'll fix all 10!
Ediit: 8/10 Great job Joey!
I have faith in Joeys repair skills so i say 10/10 will be fixable.
My soldering iron broke a few days back sucks now I cant fix things now that their broken atleast I can watch you repair stuff
3rd switch is most likely emmc fault or its in autorcm mode. Try and see if its patched if not u can repair the emmc image and rebuild it
Nice work!
Is there a video of JDT replacing an sd card slot off a NS Lite. My kid NS lite card keeps disconnecting, forcing the switch to turn off. I have cleaned it and switched the sd card, but the issue remains.
I'm guessing 7 out of 10. Let's see if I'm being too optimistic lol
EDIT: 8/10 fixed! Good job man!
Wonderful Content finally
day one of asking joey for his old fluke 115 multimeter. i love your vids
8 it is…And it 8 was!!! 🎉 Afterwards I regreted my unbelief and with that I hoped for 9/10
Awesome episode, more please
Great results!
with a usb c port. does it even matter turning it upside down? as far as i know it's symmetrical.
(meaning the only time turning it around should work is when the cable itself is broken)
I guessed 6. Happy to see you proved me wrong 😊
Sorry to be a pain but what is that microscope swing mount you are using please?
Great vid, top vibes!
Hi Joey, did you buy these as a job lot/bulk or individually please?
I have faith we'll see 7 fixed!
I say 8 fixed switches, also a 40+ minute video... ohhhh YES!
EDIT - Not a bad guess 🤣
Let me know please if you would love to work with a mini PC board, no power, and a voltage regulator issue.
I think you’ll fix 7 out of 10.
Edit: 8 out of 10. Great job.
When is the ponytail coming back?
I'm guessing 7 fixed
Dang it missed it by 1 lol great video
another great video!
I'm guessing that you will be able to fix 7 of the 10 Nintendo Switch consoles.
edit: Not far off! Great job, Joey.
maybe 9 fixed nintendo's, we trust you Joey!
well done Joey
6 is my guess... I suspect water damage x2 and then 2 which are just straight up fooked
Did you check all the consoles for a game or sd card?

Spoiler Saver
I knew you can do 8 out of 10! What an interesting variety of faults. Great work! And this could have saved profit or loss!
YES. Different stuff 👏
Joey will fail at all of them…. We don’t want season one to never ever end 😅😅😅
5 you will fix, 5 for spares. right, playing the video
@JoeyDoesTech , nice 8/10 fix, but wasnt this the profit or loss series?

8 out of 10 😁, have lots of confidence in U Joey
I am going high on this one let's say you fix 7!!
imagine opening one of these up.
diagnosing a power issue.
take the thing appart and attempt to fix the power issue.
breaking the screen ribbon cable connector when reassembling.
and thinking your power issue didn't get fixed and then sell it for pennies on the dollar.
only to then see it here and see it was just a bent pin on a connector.

Not a profit or loss, but you could fool me 👍👍👍
Do you have still one more to sell become i need for my little one. Thanks
I'm pretty confident that it's going to be 9/10.
Edit: Damn. I was hopeful but those no display ones were worse than I expected.
8 / 10 before watching.
It was looking a bit ambitious, but what do you know! I was right 😄
Can anyone help please. Where can I buy in uk them hdmi emi filters for xbox one s
that last one was👌
Hope you can fix all 10!
Hey Joe. Just curious. Are you left handed ?
