I'm a locksmith for car keys and I bought bw100 for the shop on your recommendation a couple years back. Stuff legit works miracles. It's saved countless car key fobs, small electronics, and even an electric chainsaw. Stuff is magic in a can, worth the price!
I wish I had started doing this in my 20's vs trying to start in my 30's. The accuracy and delicate touch required only get harder to maintain with age...
Be sure to test the SL and SR buttons on the side of the detachable joy-cons! Most of time that's the problem the nintendo switches have as a lot of nintendo games do use these buttons a lot.
Iam happy you are back looking healthy and awesome you my friend are one of the best channels because your fixing videos are very calming and easy hope to see you fix a ps6
I agree I like the lite for having separate parts , but I hate all the screws and all the different length screws, there is so much to take apart for a repair, so because I prefer sticking with the og Switch!
So happy your doing good man I love your videos it even got me started tinkering with my own electronics and fixing things I never thought I could your very easy for the average person to understand
I went to an return bin store. Went on $5 day. Found some awesome stuff. Including an oled switch. Which only needed new charge port and be cleaned. They had it hidden on the bottom of a bin. And told people that an oled switch is in one of the bins. Best score from an bin store yet. Seen videos of people finding stuff like that. Thought that it was rigged. Till this.
What else should people do with damaged electronics? There are very few places that do repairs; even our host only works on his own account. My Grandfather liked to put non-working items into storage (as he lacked the skills to fix them), but that stuff all just went to landfill after he died. Personally, I donate non-working electronics to a local thrift shop that sells things as is, no returns. I expect that resellers then list the items online as untested. I like to contribute to the circle of life as these items are passed along from one seller to another.
LGR channel bought a "new in box" l PS2 that was a dud.. I told him to reach out but I doubt he did. You should reach out for a collaboration if he hasn't already. Would be an awesome video
Whow, can you link to or provide the name of the tool use used to extract the broken off headphone jack tip? I've had to work on devices before with similar issues and it took me much longer than that using different techniques. Super awesome tool to have!
My OLED has the same issue with the left joycon just not connecting. It only happened if I only had the tablet docked. I detatched and reattached the ribbon cable at least 2 times. Now I just keep joycons on when it's docked to keep that from happening again
Hey Steve, if you get a very little bit of moister in a usb port, can you use BW-100 to spray in there, mix with the moister and evaporate? To dry out the port? Im not talking a lot of moister just basically just from a over humid environment.
curious because i did a similar repair and it took a while for the port to drop - of course i understand editing can take place :). but could you share how hot your hot air was set to? 400 degrees F for example?

man you look so much healthier !!!! i had to do a double take on when this was posted.
glad you're doing better man.
As someone who has been repairing laptops for over 20 years I can safely say you make this look easier than it is to repair small electronics.
@@Holycurative9610 with repetition it is easy. I’ve replaced the usb c port on at least 30-40 switches now. Pretty easy.

He definitely makes HDMI port swaps look trivial.😅

Appreciate what you do! I have some old game consoles and games. You've given me the confidence that I can work on them myself.
SWEET, YOU ARE A VERY INTELLIGENT AND SKILLED PERSON. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD.
Thank you for your content I've enjoyed every fix's you do, i usually can't comment as I'm watch you on my PS5.
Nice work, and also nice that most were pretty easy fixes! What is this tool you have to remove broken headphone jacks?! I've never seen this before.
I agree I like the lite for having separate parts , but I hate all the screws and all the different length screws, there is so much to take apart for a repair, so because I prefer sticking with the og Switch!
vw-100 is legit awesome. I've used it to clean all kinds of gunked up electronics.
Switches get stitches!
I woke up this morning and my bed was covered in stir fry. I must have been sleep wokking .

Next time you have a stripped screw. Put a rubber band between the driver and the screw. It adds more grip while filling in the gaps from the damage.
just camming back from work and i see these videos, Great pls dont stop doing content
Nice job! Amazing Nintendo made something so fixable...
YES! More satisfying Nintendo Switch repairs. 👏😊
Make a store so we can buy your repaired systems
awesome video, as always, steve! what usb c voltage meter are you using?
That's a nice haul
Yes! Great haul
Thanks Steve for the video, i love your videos about Nintendo Switch, great job, greetings from Colombia
Perfect timing for my break 😂
It drives me crazy seeing items that people have returned to the store that they have obviously damaged.
It sort of drives me crazier that people have returned stuff as defective that had nothing wrong with it.

Nice fixes!
Great video, really enjoyed it, where can we buy the consoles you repair?
Remember with the switch if it’s dead dead it will barely pull any current for a while (sometimes hours) before it will show signs of life and turn on
Always love Nintendo switch videos
Making out like a bandit on this lot!
great vid as always, glad to see you are doing ok ❤
i suggest getting hemostats for better grip on smaller things
nice video man keep it up
I might get some of that cleaner, I have a remote that may have a dirty potentiometer.
Under tools you use I wish you'd put the usb c volt/amp meter.
LGR has a falty PS2 Fat... I commented on his recent video tha I would like to see a colab... would you fix his PS2? Love your videos
I’d sure be happy to give it a try. I’ve somehow never seen his channel before.
Where can you buy these from you?
LGR channel bought a "new in box" l PS2 that was a dud.. I told him to reach out but I doubt he did. You should reach out for a collaboration if he hasn't already. Would be an awesome video
Yeah, I might have to do that. I’ve never actually seen his channel before.

What are your air and temp setting for this operation? Please and thank you 3:32
Yesterday I tried to jailbreak my brand new Switch OLED, but it didn't work. So if you need anything else to fix it, just let me know! hahaha

You forgot to mention the profits made from Ad and sponsor revenue for this video ;)
Awesome deal. Good luck and stay fine. Happy Holidays

Glad to see you're switching things up for this video Steve!
I have a crazy question for you, have you ever had to deal with a banned Xbox X series?
Do you have any light switches?
what heatgun setup you use??
Where do you buy your old used stuff I want to get an old Nintendo but I can't find it anywhere
I ve got an 1,000 dollar amp for car stereo, u want it?
Does anyone know why you heat the board at the back when replacing the charging port? Never seen that trick before. Any reason why he does that?
Is it possible to buy refurbished items somewhere?
But....which switch is which?
Where does he buy these customer returned items?
Could you give out one of the switches
Alright 👍
Always fan boy ❤
AWESOME
Hello! :D
