Missy has shown herself to be the most mature member of the family. Her loyalty is heartwarming.
Yet marry don't care about her as much
@@pirbiswonderfulworld7295 how can you say that?? In tbbt we have seen missy after being separated missy lives with her mother and also delivers baby at home.
@@shriyankagarwal1706 compare to Sheldon she don't
@@shriyankagarwal1706 she clearly put most of her attention onto sheldon and the reminder to georgie and missy which is not alot. I guess the show wanted to show how the two sibling develop with subpar parenting through georgie and missy.
Hopefully, Mary will start to appreciate that.
Mary's crying broke my heart, and Missy's compassion melted it, then Sheldon's comment about protection cracked me up.
this is an emotional rollercoaster
Love seeing the soft side of Missy.
Missy is really mature
No glove no love. The 90's .that was the 70's. When sex classes were sent to middle school .I was one of those kids.Sadly many of us kids were in second semester to get the class . We were begging the first class (semester) to let us know. One student told us what she learned. Drew pictures on the wall in chalk. Between the home economics building and the math bungalow. Most of second semester students received high scores. Thank you Deborah!I walked into sex as a high school student with condoms.never used them .but I had them .watching happy days was also good. They all had condoms in thier wallet.never used. Just there just in case.Never needed a purity ring. Just knowing was power.
I’m assuming that they’re coming close to the part where George cheats on mary

Sheldon 😂😂😂
Perfect timing from the kid playing Sheldon.
Sheldon literally gave George jr a burn regarding protection 😂
There are no burns on George. He didn't literally burn him, that's not what literally means.

Little Missy hugging her mom was so heartwarming.
Little sheldon complaining about his family problems to his " second mom " was infuriating to watch.
@@G0L_D_Fshnot surprised, sheldon infuriates me nearly 100% of the time
I love how mature and self aware Missy is
A psychiatrist pointed that out
Glad to see that she's stepping up. And not being the "Dumb Teenager" that Georgie made her out to be. It was mentioned in the main series in Georgie's Debut appearance as an adult.
@@turtleboy991 I remember Georgie's statement about Missy in TBBT, but Missy seems to be becoming more matured than all her siblings on this show, always supportive, she also supported her grandmother after Dale broke up with her, supported her brother about the whole pregnancy scenario.
@@turtleboy991 He said that it happened after their father died, It's possible that Missy went to a sort of crisis and Georgie had to pick up the pieces
Shame it's not gonna matter in the end. Missy basically peaked in this series whereas by the time the Big Bang Theory roles around she's a divorced mother of two with seemingly no real career. All her potential wasted.
missy is just so sweet... She is supportive
And earlier in the episode she seemed so convinced that Mary was having an affair with Pastor Rob. I wasn't sure she'd go near her mom once she started crying.
Yeah missy is their for her and everyone. But when missy is broken down in season 4 ending or later episodes and wants to talk. Mary goes straight to blaming her. Like she had plenty momlent in the show where Mary was their for missy and gave her the spotlight. But as missy is getting more independant and not as needed or going through her own things mary constanly goes and picks up sheldon because sheldon is the one who will always need him mother for his challenges and she just wants someone to take care of. So she always is by his side and with the other kids mistakes she blames and yells at but says its ok and helps fix when sheldon makes a mistake. Thats whats wrong with the picture
@@harrisonblum3075 when has she ever solely been there for missy
You never know what someone else is going through even if you lived with them. This is such a great show.
that is true.
President Hagemeyer should have referred Sheldon to the campus counseling center.
😅 you say that like he would go
I dont get why she has to get involved in their family just because sheldon asked her to.
cuz as she said they invested a lot of money into him so they want to protect their investment
@@StephanieMT yep. If anything that's the ONLY reason they put up with him.
@@YellowFlash34 They invest a lot of money into Sheldon because, as a prodigy, large donors provide a substantial part of the university's income. No sheldon, and donors dry up. This is not too different to real life. The more Nobel Prize winners a university employs, for example, the more funding comes in from all sources. An unfortunate fact of life, and because various universities offer incentives for the student to move to their university, President Hagemeyer would indeed spend time trying to keep their young prodigy happy.
Finally a mention of Mary blessing herself at every meal. LOL
Bahahahaha my grandma does that too
Lolll
She did the cooking, sooo
She deserves to be blessed, she cooks for everyone lmao
Sheldon mentioned it before
The voice of Eda the Owl Lady giving advice is wholesome
IKKK!! i realised it was her when she said ANYWAY at 2:36 XD
Sheldon: a second mom if you will.
Yeah that makes sense.
Omg I love-
Maybe I’m pulling a Sheldon but…..really?
She’s also Beatrice horseman, and pacha’s wife in emperor’s new groove
It's gotta be painful for George Sr. to know that Mary not only values and seeks the opinions and validation from her Church and peers over him, but continues to do so after they abandoned her.
Yeah everyone keeps saying she's sp great but they clearly has issues and she ignored them or him
She thought she was seeking Godly counseling and keeping the line drawn in the sand. Then she became comfortable going to someone else. It felt like a 3rd person to George. She did not intentionally lose the line, but she inadvertently danced all over it because she needed attention and validation. What was supposed to begin mending, became a sledge hammer to her marriage, as George did the same with the neighbor. If they could have cooled off and started talking, put petty bickering beside them, and act like they were dating again, no mud slinging, they may have had a chance. George crossed the line and Sheldon saw it. Then George died...
@@rebekahweber2413 As a lot of people have said, Sheldon's memory from then was distorted. It's a possibility that since this story line has developed so much it might take a different route from how Sheldon remembered it in TBBT.
My mom is like that. Whenever I have issues with people that we know or they did something wrong to us, she still will go out to meet with them despite that. For example, one of her friends accuse me of something awful and she still hanged out with her. She only stopped after my brother died to which her friend in her words "Didn't know how to be her friend after my brother's passing." She doesn't seem to care so much about me as with her friends as she enjoys the attention she gets from them. I always confront her ass on this too and tell her off.
That's Mary's ultimate problem. TOO RELIGIOUS.
I swear, Religion should come secondary to family. And that should be the FIRST thing EVERY religion says.
Mary has been ignorant to Missy most of the time. Missy hasn't.
Ignorant? Do you even know what ignorant means?
Kids watch you rather you know it or not that's why its important to lead by example
True and nothing but facts
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Sheldon is a handful. Georgie is facing problems right now. Her marriage is failing. That leaves little energy for Missy.
@@thechosenone1533 she has been ignoring Missy and focusing on only Sheldon for a long time..Its nothing new..
Missy has gone through tough times..and all she received were lectures about what Jesus wants, but no support from Mary...
I just knew Missy would have consoled her mother, as soon as I saw her crying - she's just that kind of person
+X Plays I don’t think it’s a good idea after what happened in the Season 4 finale! 😡
I really don't even know why sheldon is the mom's favorite he never really comport her like both georgie or Missy do you think georgie was her favorite as he is her first born or Missy as she is the only girl and the youngest
I bet Mary was shocked specifically after the way she always treats missy
@@natvan29 When did she realise how she always treats Missy? She would’ve realised that in the Season 4 finale if someone had just yelled at her for how she acted to Missy in that episode!
@@dennisardakis5857 I hated Mary on that episode she didn't even know what was going on and only punish Missy. But the part that really got me was 2 things 1 sheldon wasn't crying he was mad Missy was on her bed crying and she said to George sheldon was upset he should have said so was our daughter but I guess you only care about our brat cause sheldon is A brat and spoiled
I really liked the way Mary said that she is doing the best she can to keep the family together and she is tired of everyone blaming her. I'd definitely be one to stand up for Mary. That kid that said his mom thought the Cooper family should be kicked out of the church. The whole family can't be blamed for Georgie's mistake, plus there's only so much you can do as a parent when your kids grow up and get a mind of their own, even if you did have "the talk" with them
That Dean had no right calling Mary and talking that way. She should have "quit while she was ahead" or offered support for Sheldon
Who said it was a mistake or at least his mistake? She’s supposed to be on birth control! As far as the condom that’s on both of them probably more so on her since she’s supposed to be the mature one
She had it coming. When you put religion first, everything sucks
@@HasufelyArod I agree. If all you do is reject values that don't come in terms with your own, everything's gonna be shortsighted and you're gonna end with a fuckton of problems.
Sorry.... Mary is the reason everything is falling apart, she is too wrapped up in the Bible. She needs to pull her head out of the book and into reality.
Mary putting religion before her family has been the cause of almost every single family issue
Literally
Actually, she's more worried about how religious she appears on the outside than what is actually going on. The first thing she worried about when Georgie got Mandy pregnant was what other people would think of her. She is obsessed with appearing as a good Christian - that has nothing to do with her actually trying to act Christian. Because if she did, well, she'd have had a serious talk with Georgie before this ever happened about the dangers of having sex when you're not ready to have a baby. About lying,... She would also be a lot less judgmental towards others and trying to see more fault in herself.
Even after what the church did to her and all of her church "friends" abandoning her she still puts them before her family.
@@joanneaugust6611 i was including her appearance in the religious community
True
She’s the hand that prepared it, your blessing is redundant 😂
Technically it's not, because Mary only asked that her hands be blessed, not her whole self

Despite the situations everyone is in the kids are showing that they were raised well. Missy fiercely defends and cares for those she loves. Georgie is incredibly beyond loyal. Mary is doing a great job.
and then sheldon is… actually never mind
@@rudyyco1568 actually Sheldon recently stood up for his family in the first episode of Season 6 in the church
Yes and no. Her and George clearly had issues and instead of working on then she'd run to God and pastor rob and when George did try to talk about the issues she blew him off
The worst thing ever is if Georgie walked out on Mandy. I'm glad he didn't take this route.
Mary hiding the acceptance letters from George was a huge mistake. Imo, Mary meant well, but got in her own way.
Other side of Missy that we missed during TBBT! Very sweet, protective and loving to her family. 💖❤️
Except her husband, her scapegoat whom she dishonored and disrespected. He turned to that skank, Brenda, for physical comfort because his own wife couldn't spare him 15 min A WEEK--this was her favorite mode of punishment. In a later episode of TBBT, she sees fit to enjoy herself with a man--too bad she couldn't have given her poor beleaguered husband some respect and few minutes of her time in the bedroom. She came real close to doing the nasty with young Pastor Rob--the only reason she didn't was HE WOULDN'T.
One of the most touching scenes in this eposide, I loved that Missy tried to comfort her mom.💙
“And bless mom” so sweet. Awwww
I have seen several incidents where Missy tried to be the comforting one, especially to Sheldon.
When Missy hugged her Mom and told her it’s going to be ok after Mary prayed she said bless Mom. That was one of the best episodes!!!
In all fairness to Sheldon, yelling at home preventing him from studying is a reasonable grievance to complain about
@@ploopploopploopboop1887 Ikr! I found Mary snapping at Sheldon uncalled for when she said "I'm sorry if Georgie's situation is affecting your studies."
I quit high school because of that and now I am studying at 40+ years of age
What I love about this show is that all of the characters have their important role is not like in other movies or shows that everything works around the main character, here all the characters have their part set up correctly for someone to like them.

That's true. The family has problems but they handle them. The characters hang together as family members no matter what's going on.
This is definitely NOT a dysfunctional family.
His love of Leonard's mother makes so much sense now
Why didn’t Sheldon talk to Dr Sturgis? He’s FAR more closer to him than President Hagemeyer

You lost face by using "loose" when it should be "lose". The meaning of "loose" is the opposite of tight.
@@MrBeevee5 Right.. Thank you for pointing it.
You're right. I actually like Mary alot less from the episodes all she cares about is looking bad in front of the church. She's been criticised for it by the church receptionist "thinking she's better than everyone". She admitted it, the same episode.
You can tell Mary really wants to be a preacher but Southern Baptists don't allow female ministers. Its actually an awful church if you look it up. Don't allow dancing. Strongly supported keeping slavery.
@@angusanderson4117 As a Baptist, I know it is against doctrine to be dancing, However the views per slavery has since changed. Even dancing is not viewed too strongly any more.
For some reason I keep picturing President Hagemeyer keeping a staff with an owl on top of it in her office.
Hahaha, me too
She definitely is a bit owlish
Same here.
Owl house lol
She's amazing in Owl House
I can't help but hearing Linda and think about Beatrice horseman, Eda the owl lady and Burdine Maxwell
It's so strange those moments of pain and struggle that finally help children learn more about there parents, and parents learn that their children are finally capable of understanding the more difficult parts of life. It gives them the opportunity to build the foundation of friendship that some children have with their parents. It really is nice to see it so nicely portrayed.
Yeah, it's heart-warming when it happens.
I'm not a fan of Mary. But when I saw her breakdown, my heart went out to her. I felt her frustration. Missy reaching out to her with a hug & prayer at dinner time is sweet support.

I haven’t watched this show in forever and I can’t get over Sheldon’s voice getting so deep!
"Recent events might have made you value protection"
Oooooh, sick burn by Sheldon
I started crying halfway through this clip, my dad and I had acted out this scene when I was in middle school years ago.
Missy is so sweet and supportive, she's such a sweetheart
Missy is my favorite. Sensible and mature, Sheldon drives me crazy😅
I would think recent events would make you value protection 😂😂😂
Let's all be honest here, George Sr made the right decision. He was becoming everyone's bitch by just accepting the way he was getting treated by his own wife and his youngest son Sheldon. Sure Mary didn't exactly cheat, but let's be honest and agree that we all saw what was about to happen if Missy didn't step in. I get that George should have at least listened, but Mary is acting like it's only her problem and not anyone else's. George is just as important in both George Jr and the child's life as Mary is and he's just everyone's kicking stone.
I actually feel sorry for all of them. Their personalities, ways of dealing with things, and emotional needs, just don't match up, so they're not the best support for each other in a time of distress. When a crisis strikes inside a family, it seems like all the family members become needy, and often can't take care of each other well. They can hurt each other and judge each other and not even realize it. They also make a lot more bad choices.
I've only seen clips, but I agree poor George has been a punching bag for a long time. I really like George a lot. I don't think Mary realizes she's so rough on him - in my opinion, she is a person with a lot of anxiety about the unpredictability of life, and she needs rules and order and religion to shield her from the anxiety. I think every time something rattles her, that anxiety surges and she is more exacting than ever - not to be mean, but just out of panic. [One way she and Sheldon are similar.] George is usually patient but he's shown his exasperation plenty of times too. He's a kindhearted steady guy who finds all that anxiety and rigidity perplexing. It's easier for him to roll with whatever comes his way (much like Missy), though he sometimes slips in some snarky comments as a pressure valve (also like Missy), and true unfairness and stress can bring out his righteous temper (like Missy). Georgie's a lot like Meemaw: carefree, enjoying a little mischief to spice up life, but willing to step up, however imperfectly, when there's a real need.
I don't blame either George or Mary for turning to someone outside the family to talk to, and maybe initially not realizing what is happening when they do that. I think they both believed they were making safe innocent choices. It's hard for someone to realize he or she is getting into dangerous territory, especially in a "safe" scenario like chatting with a pastor or neighbor. You're right that "we all saw what was about to happen", except I think it was just then dawning on Mary, and she was in desperate internal denial. She didn't want to believe she was capable of inappropriate feelings or behavior, especially not with a pastor. It's totally justifiable when George speaks his mind, and he is right, but I don't think she denied it just to hide from George - I think she denied it in the heat of the moment to hide from herself, because she just didn't want it to be true.
Again, I feel sorry for them, and for all real people who live through bad decisions and the emotional fallout from them. It's not always premeditated, but that doesn't make it easier.
You make a good point that I never considered
"...Mary is acting like it's only her problem.."
She is kinda playing 'the victim' of it all.....
The only non-selfish character on this show is George Sr (and Jr.to a degree) all of the women are bad people.
