There would be no competition. Paige for sure. Amy no chance. I have nothing against Amy, but she has no chemistry with Sheldon (Sheldon has more chemistry even with Penny). Moreover, Paige is an ideal match for Sheldon (prodigy, genius, many similarities - but also mutual complementation, rival-firend, etc.). She's smart like Sheldon (probably smarter) but with the personality of Penny or Missy (kinda). But there is one major problem here... That YS is a prequel and so they can't change something that was already created before. Unfortunately the character of Paige was created after the end of TBBT. Yeah no Paige and Sheldon whole crush arc existed for a reason, they were friends, not anything more or less, Amy is perfect for Sheldon, she wasn’t what Paige was like “perfect genius” smarter than Sheldon but she complimented Sheldon well and they suit each other. But I’m biased I like Amy
@@easyart722 I disagree. Paige and Sheldon would be perfect soul mates. The only reason they didn't get together is that YS is a prequel... Young Sheldon also did things for Paige that he didn't do for anyone else (even as an adult) and even as a child/teen he was ready to kiss her and even start dating her. It was no problem for Paige to get Sheldon to kiss her (even if only as a prank). That Sheldon, who's antisocial, a nerd and dislikes social or physical contact and shows almost no emotion or empathy. He showed no sympathy for anyone and never showed interest in any girl (except Paige) - not even Amy. He always had a special, complex relationship with Paige and a certain affection (that didn't develop into a relationship just because of tbbt continuity). I like Amy, but not as Sheldon's partner. I admit that in the later seasons they were already a better (and more well-rounded) team, but still not better than Paige (the potential was huge there). No chemistry, no romance, no greater understanding and complementing. Nor was there any great love or affinity to be seen. Plus, Amy was originally introduced only as a joke - Sheldon's female version. But that doesn't mean she's ideal for him.. IMO from the beginning their relationship felt rather forced and a bit awkward to me. For years, he wasn't even interested in Amy, showed no sympathy or affection, and Amy had to force herself on him all the time. Paige surpasses Amy in every way (including as a an ideal partner for Sheldon) and their realtionship, sympathy/affection and chemistry were natural.
As much as i like this show, i think they didn't do paige's character justice, even if she wasn't in TBBT her arc could've at least ended in season 7 rather than 6
Yeah, poor Paige definitely went through it in the later seasons. That was the intention of the writers, but I agree with you that I felt really bad for her and had hoped for better for her
She is a very wasted character, I really liked the concept of someone smarter than Sheldon. Maybe there could a romantic relationship between them later, but Paige dropped out of school and turned into a relatively rebellious person, could have resulted in Sheldon vowing not to mention Paige at all, thus closing the loopholes like Sheldon never mentioning Paige in The Big Bang Theory. I will mis her so much
Same. I'm pissed off she wasn't in the last season. I can't believe her last appereance was in 6x16 (Stolen truck..). There is one big problem... it's a prequel and the creators can't interfere with something that's already been created and finished. They basically created the ideal partner for Sheldon. If it wasn't a spin off (but just some show about some genius from Texas), these two would definitely end up together.
Im not an emotional person but having to think Paige's character in young sheldon is sad. Paige always think everyone around her is just messing around with her and her parents divorced affected her so much that she wishes to be like missy a dumb teenager, the writers wasted Paige's potential. Whats even more sad is that Paige didnt even appeared on TBBT because its a year late so the writers didnt focus on her character that much and didnt show the reason why didnt she at least once appeared or mentioned in TBBT. Who knows if she died of OD or su1c1d3 in her adulthood or maybe her life finally switches into positive one. No one knows what her life is after young sheldon
I really believe Paige gave up on science because she didn't like how socially different she was with everyone else, And Sheldon didn't care about Any of that which made him the "winning prodigy"
I wish they would’ve expounded upon the idea of a Paige Sheldon relationship…kind of like a redemption arc for Paige from being the rebel even if it doesn’t last
Paige and Sheldon would have definitely ended up together because they were a perfect match and had great chemistry...but unfortunately it's a prequel. :(
@@shoemew Young Sheldon didn't even have to be a prequel. They could make it as a stand-alone show unrelated to TBBT - about some young genius in Texas. That would be better. Then it would have freedom in development and no limitations. Yeah, their children would probably be extraordinary geniuses. :) Perhaps a new human species of 'superhumans'. Plus, Sheldon and Paige could literally be a genius couple and team (that would be a whole bunch of Nobel Prizes, awards, patents and contributions to science and the world)... if they worked together, did research, science, or even did business, investment, inventions, etc. together.

I say that their is a huge difference between bright and intelligent he's bright but not intelligent because he couldn't see that the beautiful girl really like him
There is no difference, just Sheldon isn’t a common sense guy
Sheldon and Paige is the perfect couple!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
It should have been Paige instead of Amy Farah Fowler
Or Penny or Bernadette. At least Mayim is about as smart as Paige.
@@theplanetvoyager we don't even know if Paige is alive when Sheldon is an adult. I think she isn't.
@@michaelleary9233 Um... WHAT!? I'd say Sheldon dodged 2 bullets by not ending up with Penny or Bernadette
@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xl No, I meant of the three on BBT, Amy was the best match for his intelligence, like Paige would have been. She just became a joke mooning over him, but that seems to have changed after they got married.
I'd love to see a intelligent ranking video on which BBT/YS characters. From what we saw Paige, Randall and bunch of other characters are more skilled than Sheldon in academics
It would be cool if the writers mention her story after the show in a con
They will probably answer the question soon.
I believe they're making another spin off series so maybe she'll make an appearance there. I feel like she probably offs herself or gets into some deep trouble and ends up in prison or something. I wish things in the bbt universe were more fleshed out... Like can you imagine if on bbt if instead Amy being introduced Paige comes in and starts outsmarting him once again and maybe even end up marrying him.
@@Macky4941 Yeah I feel terrible for her and her family. Hopefully she can find some peace in her life.
Sheldon and Paige>>>>> Sheldon and Amy
That's for sure. Paige forever.
Why Paige was not mentioned in Big Bang Theory?? Sheldon and Paige looks perfect with each other
Yeah, Sheldon and Paige would make a great couple (soulmates). But YS is spin off and character of Paige was created after the end of TBBT... unfortunately.
TO YOU PAIGE AND YOUR TEAM.
LET'S GO. WINNER........TAKES ALL.

2. Missy & Paige.

It’s sad how they ruined Paige with her parents divorce
They didn't ruin her. Her parents ruined her.
Would be boring without a good mix.
she didnt make it up. adults that have a stunted childhood end up as social misfits and weirdos. true to each word. and when she punched him hard in the face, i can just feel the happiness flow through me.
That's my spot 😂
Glad Paige was finally able to be herself after her uncle Captain America adopted her
She gets a happy ending in the movie. This isn't the movie. This isn't the same character
@@ChristopherBingham-xx8xl Ya, I thought mentioning that her uncle was Captain America hinted that was a joke
So true I would love to see Sheldon and pagie competitive for their college universities and probably a first kiss
wish we saw more of her, Paige is the best
To see Paige and Amy compete for Sheldon would have been a great storyline.
Yeah, absolutely not.
But the creators (probably unintentionally) created an ideal partner for Sheldon, who also surpasses Amy in all respects (and not only Amy). If it wasn't a prequel (but just a show about some child genius in Texas), these two would definitely end up together.
As much as i like this show, i think they didn't do paige's character justice, even if she wasn't in TBBT her arc could've at least ended in season 7 rather than 6
They should’ve gotten married
One of my favorite characters alongside George.
Although i prefer her in the early seasons
So yeah, there was clearly something between Sheldon and Paige, but the creators just couldn't develop it further (they can't make major changes, different direction, etc.).
They missed her in the final season😭
Freaking Awesome 👍 👍
I really believe Paige gave up on science because she didn't like how socially different she was with everyone else, And Sheldon didn't care about Any of that which made him the "winning prodigy"
I think I'm in love.
@@niketesambrosiosdelagrece2266 in another universe I guess😔😔😔
@@niketesambrosiosdelagrece2266 imagine the IQs their kids would’ve had
@@shoemew Young Sheldon didn't even have to be a prequel. They could make it as a stand-alone show unrelated to TBBT - about some young genius in Texas. That would be better. Then it would have freedom in development and no limitations.
Yeah, their children would probably be extraordinary geniuses. :) Perhaps a new human species of 'superhumans'. Plus, Sheldon and Paige could literally be a genius couple and team (that would be a whole bunch of Nobel Prizes, awards, patents and contributions to science and the world)... if they worked together, did research, science, or even did business, investment, inventions, etc. together.
@ I hate how people act that Amy and Paige were the same in intelligence when they weren’t…yes Amy was smart but not to the extent of Sheldon and paige
Paige is so beautiful i mean literally beautiful😭😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕
Sheldon had his chance with Paige when she came to his dorm room and asked if she could stay there. If - instead of what he did say - he'd said:
_"Do you need a hug?"_
He might have had Paige as his girl friend.
What he did say was more in tune with who Sheldon was.
But - who Sheldon was - ended up with Amy ....
Of course - it was already determined who he was going to end up with so Paige wasn't going to happen.
.
He didn't want Paige as his girlfriend. He didn't want a girlfriend. It worked out well. Imagine how heartbroken he'd be if his girlfriend died when she was a child and he was also a child.

Me too. But it couldn't happen. For one thing they were just kids (the characters were only 12 and the actors around the same age) and most importantly it's a prequel... and it was even said in TBBT that Sheldon never kissed a girl.
If it wasn't a prequel... these two would definitely become a couple. They were perfect for each other and had great chemistry.

In the end Paige got adopted by Captain America who's her uncle
9:11 If Amy had a smidgen of wits like Paige, she would have seduced Sheldon as soon as they met (and had kids in the first year). :D Sheldon was completely antisocial until his +30 and abhorred any social and physical contact. And yet Paige had no problem getting young Sheldon to kiss her or even start dating her. :D
I’m ESL student and it’s really hard to understand their English without subtitles. They speak so fast.
Really? English isn't my first language and I do not excel in it. But this seems quite easy to me. Watch something where they speak really fast, technical or where the characters speak unintelligibly (chaotically, mumbling, weird accent, weird pronunciation, etc.).
idk why they didnt put her in the final season
The original contract was for 9 episodes and she is bigger than any other actor on the show, so to manage her pay and time conflicts, they probably decided to leave it. Also, after the 2 years that both of the shows co existed, there was no way to introduce paige to TBBT, so they just left her. TBH, I'd watch anything with Mckenna Grace in it. Also, money is a big reason. I'd love if they made a spinoff just for Paige, or maybe they could do this romcom. Paige is perfect with Sheldon.
His fav. colour is khaki xD
