This is day 21 of following your instruction. I am getting so much pain relief it’s life changing. The daily practice is like having a massage… beautiful 🙏
I'm visiting with family. Between the train trip, different seating, bedding and routine my lower back was a complaining mess. This session just removed all of it! Serious magic here☺
I've done yoga for most of my life and the slight differences in poses that you introduce are new to me and make all the difference! You help me manage chronic low back pain that was greatly limiting my activities at age 77
I am finding these videos invaluable. I have had so many procedures and injections in my shoulders and neck over the years b ut I can honestly say that I have had so much relief from these stretches!
You are so phenomenal i am so grateful for ur practices not only do i reciev3 physical relief but i also gain knowledge..i love it greatly done sunshine
Thank you Joelle for this delicious and juicy practice for the lower back. I tried your 10 Minute Stretch which was also great and you had suggested this one which is similar only holding the stretches a little longer which, I found, very beneficial. I will definitely be coming back to this one again and again!
Oh that's lovely, thanks Lana! Several people had commented that they found the 10-minute version a little too quick for them, so I thought it'd be nice to have some options 😉
This is already a great one to get you started! And I've got quite a few other practices in my back & spine playlist if you'd like: tinyurl.com/42eb9ukf
Dear Joëlle, I am a great fan of your workouts in French, and this is the forts time I'm following one in English. Are they the same in both languages ?
Welcome Myriam, nice to see you discovering the second channel! They are generally the same, but not always, as the two audiences sometimes have different interests 😊
Hi Joelle! I was wondering if you have thought about making a video for yoga when you're nauseous. I looked that up on RUclips a while ago and all I could find were videos for bloating/digestion help Thanks for reading this
Hi, I joined the 3 day lower back yoga. Do you have some in sight as to why my hamstrings and sometimes my calves start to get a Charley horse when I do the bridge pose, especially if I've raised up on my toes . I have developed some really painful sciaticnerve pain. A little background, I I Jared my back 6 years ago and tried Chiropractic, acupuncture, decompression, manual therapy and last resort a pain med. Went off the med b/c of allergic reaction Fast forward to now, just got off a steroid. It had the added affect of relieving myback pains I believe I overdid and now off the steroid andbackpainismuchworse. Any suggestions?
Great job Gary! Charley horses and other cramps are typically a "confusion" in the body when it can't quite figure out how to do what we're asking it to do - it's a great clue as to which muscles in your body aren't used to switching on! My guess is that your lower back is "taking over" more than it should in your everyday life (this is super common), and consequently muscles groups like the hamstrings don't have the strength they need to do their job. We talk more about this in the Secrets of Your Lower Back workshop, which you'll probably have seen referenced in the 3-day lower back sequence 😉
May I join the conversation. I suffer similar travelling cramps (hamstring or other) and/or blockages such as temporarily locked knee or a strained big toe (lol) particularly when my hip gets out of joint. An off level pelvic bone creates a sway in the spine and definitely affects the lower back, the sacrum and can extend to my knee, ankle, toes, upper back, neck and shoulder. So, I feel I relate to your jarred back, though it seems you've suffered more severely as I've not reached for pain meds. I've found so many yoga poses and stretches to be both relieving, importantly, strengthening. The more flexing I do via the poses, the more relief I feel in muscle, tendon and joints. The stronger I allow my muscles to become, the more supported my joints become (ie hip joints, spinal joints........ ) Joelle has a distinctly sensitive and inventive approach to body care that I really am appreciating (I'm a newbie here). Any yoga poses that stretch out your hamstrings, on the regular, should help (imo). Any yoga poses that twist and stretch out the spine, from the pelvis always feel insanely good to me and I wonder how they could assist your jarred spine. But I'm def not expert, and am not advising you. I only know with certainty how to deal with and resolve my own particularly ridiculous body lol. Yoga, on the daily, is super important in keeping me functional. I wish you luck in finding solutions for yourself. You're in a good place with Joelle 🩷
