imo this set is the best cause most you can only use with consoles or pc because of hdmi out. although annoying to some the camera makes it so you can use the lights with anything on your tv and jt doesn’t matter what hdmi type your tv has
Cool. I like the way this will work when streaming from a Chromecast, which Hue Sync cannot. Shame TVs don't have an HDMI out (eg. mirror/passthro') which would mean we could avoid all this camera BS. However, I have an 82" TV so I'm assuming this would leave quite a lot of corner uncovered...
I’ve tried this a few times after seeing quantum tv post about it, and it seems like it would work, but after ordering the one he recommended, I still can’t get better results than I do without it.
Your right! Color accuracy is way off. Either he didn't do the calibration right, or perhaps he didn't do it at all. It takes multiple calibration to get the colors right.
Also the company themselves said to have the side light bars at least 20 inches away from the tv on each side and he definitely doesn’t have them that far away on each side
Looks fabulous,I just can't deal with leads anymore, I've just gotten rid of 5.1 wired speaker system, DVD recorder, android box and I think I'm going to stay that way, just a firestick,cable TV, Freesat, and soundbar and that's it, never going back to wired systems, drive me nuts ha ha 👍
@@ballashoes I was like you, didn't like soundbar quality,but I had a free Samsung soundbar with TV,yes its not something I'd never buy personally,but I was pleasantly surprised with the sound, especially with HDMI eARC, Bluetooth sound's total shit tho, the only thing that's needed with this sound bar is a subwoofer, Okay it'll never match a 5:1 surround but it even spreads the audio to the ceiling and sides pretty effectively,so the soundbar technology is better than a few years ago.👍

I am in the same case. They said no , the control box will not be sold alone as this is a new product ( from my opinion they just want to sell more articles). But they promised to come later with a new firmware update to be able to sync both ( backlight + flow bars) with video mode. I was so disappointed to hear that since i bought both old model including govee lyra . Hope that answers your question.
@@geraudkoissi5950 Thanks for the info. I do only hope they will update the flow bars software to enable multiled when used in cinema mode. The immersion kit is too wide for screens smaller than 55" (like 43"-48"), flow bars would be a good alternative with the multiled enabled.
Nope :( Geek Street replied to simular comment earlier, he had response from Govee. Thats one of those things i dont like about them. They have sometimes weird business dicisions. Just like they only sell TV kits for big tvs
Yes but they've now bundled it with the two side lights in one pack so you don't need 2 separate cameras. With the next App update you should be able to set your immersion set as a entertainment core and then get other Govee lights to sync with that. Hopefully this will mean you can add lights such as the Star Pal bowl lights or 2 govee flow plus lights to create an entertainment setup.
Still trying to figure out y they dont have the LED KIT FOR TVS higher than 65 inches. I plan on getting a 77 inch 1 soon. Also do u feel its better to get a mount for the TV that allows the TV To have an arm to move away from the wall as oppose to a straight mount flush against the wall?
Yeah I'm suprised they don't have larger options. I prefer a flush mount personally and have my other TV like this and looks great. I've got the arm in my studio TV as I regularly need accss to the back for videos like this as an example.

I have the lights on my 75 and it's adequate. Color match isn't perfect and the install took a bit of planning. I have the camera laying down under my tv behind the soundbar. The lights still come all the way around the outside of the tv, but the camera can't see the full screen so in calibration it's a bit tricky. The color match isn't as great as it should be but it's still good enough and I still like it a lot. It certainly adds to the experience.
i bought it months ago...it doesnt work for movies , latency delay...horrible trust me! just good for music. Do your own ambilight! i did it with no skills, amazing result with pi3b, total cost 120€ and better than everything zero delay

Hello Friend.....first off thanks for a great channel. I love you videos!! I have a question that I can't seem to figure out. I just bought about 8 different Govee products but did not buy the TV immersion kit because I do not have a TV and do not use my computer for computer games. It's used for my home recording studio which has software that does not change color. I am able to add all my Govee devices in a group and synch them up to I can change the color on all the lights in using the app at the same time but how can I make all the lights change colors simultaneously without camera? I thought there is a way to all have them follow the same scene when grouped together but I can't figure that out. Maybe I need to buy a camera and have it pointed to an Ipad with a colored visual or a color changing light to get the magic happening. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
What these reviewers and Govee do not tell you, is that it takes 21ft of LED strip to cover an 85"inch TV from corner to corner, they sell and advertise a set of immersion lights for TV from 75-85" but that kit only comes with 16.5 ft of LED strips, that does not cover your 85" inch TV, and the corners will be awfully dark.
So of all the kits you've reviewed, which do you feel is the best? I'm currently using the raspberry pi 4 with hyperhdr it's good when it functions correctly which honestly is getting rarely now.
It's still bloody awful accuracy 😂. I have the v2.0 kit with a few months and I gave up using it. Before somebody comes to tell me to calibrate the kit I've calibrated it a few dozen different ways and nothing helps.
@@migg201204 Theres no point. I have it three months now and I am replacing my TV in a few weeks to a Philips Ambi Light TV anyway. Also I have seen a lot of people having issues with the kit on the Govee facebook page. It all depends on what kind of Panel is inside your TV
@@migg201204 Is it anything like this vid? Outside of the color wheel demo, it was pretty bad. The game is set in a forest or park and yet you see tons of red and purple around the screen. The HUD in the top right is always green yet absolutely no green ever shows up.

Well because of your last video of just the immersion kit without the bars i bought it. i must admit i am not experiancing the same as you. its not as bright, its very buggy when in video mode. it can stick on say red when there is movement. the colors are different to what is on the screen. overall in video mode, i am very dissapointed. In my oppion not worth the money.

How can I sync my rope lights to my bar lights for them to be the same color at the same time? I’ve tried syncing them in the color mode, but it still won’t work. Is there a way I can fix it?
Its not as accurate but the advantage of this is that it supports anything playing on the TV and can support 4k 120hz with no cap on there unlike philips hue.
I just got the immersion lights for the tv but not the bars, if I was to buy the light bars will it link to the strip lights or will I have to set up another camera???
@@GeekStreet That may be changing. In the next App update (Nov 2021) you will be able to specify your immersion setup as a core and then get other Govee lights to sync to those. Hopefully that will include the flow pro bars and you will be able to position them to get the same effect as the new pack.

You can do the bottom
Stick the camera on the bottom of the screen. Still works the same and you really don't notice it

Try creating group add all the devices in and select the MIC option.

I just got the light bars. Their rgb strips need an adjustment for smaller tvs and computer screens so I can cut them to size

Its dependant on a hardware version i mentioned in the video. If you have that then it will work.
How do these turn on/off (power), is it automatic? When I turn off my TV will these go into auto standby?
It gets very dim, almost completely dark when you turn the TV off, but to turn them off completely you have to use the app.

Its generally not 100% accurate.
Check the camera calibration and take the saturation down to zero. Also test with the lights off.

Yes, because the camera simple reads whats on the screen doesn't matter which app. But I have heard that there is some delay in fast paced scenes
I just got the immersion lights for the tv but not the bars, if I was to buy the light bars will it link to the strip lights or will I have to set up another camera???

Yes you'll have to setup another camera.
@@GeekStreet That may be changing. In the next App update (Nov 2021) you will be able to specify your immersion setup as a core and then get other Govee lights to sync to those. Hopefully that will include the flow pro bars and you will be able to position them to get the same effect as the new pack.
