      And either way, for some things (like fast paced competitive gaming), having a middle man device that processes the HDMI signal before sending it to the tv, is surely not ideal? For things like movies or casual games it actually looks pretty cool though! And i’m not a fan of rear screen lighting, i think its a distraction, but this being completely relative to the onscreen colour, actually makes sense. I like it

    Great product! However the omission of HDMI 2.1 is a definite no go. If I payed extra for an 85” OLED TV that goes up to 120Hz I’m not gonna just use it at 60Hz. not to mention the fact that it will outright not support 8K for any future upgrades.

I can slightly forgive philips considering their sync box is just old, even though they are still selling it at full price, but I just don't understand why these brands are so far behind with catching up to hdmi 2.1, especially newer entries to the game. Think ill be sticking to my philios sync box a while longer by the looks of it.

    I've recently bought one, but i use the provided wall mount on it, so the darker part of the TV (where you apply the leds) is flush on the wall. So, my question is, is it possible to apply the leds on the light grey part of the tv, or it wouldn't be safe for the screen (maybe due to the leds warming a bit and damaging the screen)?

    I'm planning to get either the Ai sync box or T2 for my 65 inch Samsung $90C tv that is connected to Samsung q600 soundbar. My usecase is for watching RUclips content and movies on various streaming services like Netflix, prime etc. Which one should go for?

      I have the sync box connected to my xbox one x and it's amazing. I bought a firestick (4K) to plug into it to watch all of my streaming services through it on my Sony bravia 55" android tv. The system is so good that it has brought back my love of gaming as I was bored for years with it and problem solved with watching TV etc. It's transformed the whole visual experience and don't forget about the dreamview feature that throws the lightning effects out throughout the room if you have more govee devices. I can't recommend the sync box enough!

    The part about using netflix for example wasnt clear to me. It will only work when you use netflix on say your ps5, because then the signal goes through the hmdi cable and box. If you use netflix from the TV, it wont work, correct?

    • @SlizZeRz
      @SlizZeRz 6 месяцев назад +1

      Correct. There needs to be an hdmi input that goes through the syncbox. Ps5, xbox, fireTV etc.

    hello GeekStreet, i hope you are doing well. thankyou for the video .... actually, I have been planning to install lights behind my TV and My PC. as u mentioned the ai box does not support cable tv . but here in INDIA i guess its call cable tv but technically it is not. it is a SET-TOP box system would it sync to it ?? please let me know so i can make a decision ... also is there a option if we don't want to sync it and keep it on warm colors while watching tv ?

    • @richardjones2865
      @richardjones2865 9 месяцев назад

      Yes you can. Anything that's plugged into it through HDMI will work. I have it connected to my set top box. Also, you can select any colour or scene that are available through the app or download scenes from others and also create your own scenes. The options are endless. I could go on all day about it lol

      @7swnn lytmi is good for sdr games like Nintendo switch. But everything else the colors are too pale u can barely tell its not just a static white. Also hdr is messed up so red shows as orange. I'm holding onto mine and the govee sync box to see who fixes their issues through firmware updates first

    It is indeed amazing what Govee has been able to launch lately when it comes to intelligent lighting. However, as an owner of a Philips HUE TV, the biggest difference between the HUE tv system and this is that you don't get the corners overlooked... Check the colorwheel portion, you can clearly see great color on the top, bottom, left, and right of the screen, but the corners are washed out, as there are no lights there... that's where, for now, HUE still wins.
