For a long time I was in that group of people thinking “why do I need Apple TV when my tv has the apps on it?” My curiosity from some of these videos got me to purchase one and give it a shot. And I quickly realized I should have done this earlier. I love the integration of some of the Apple apps like arcade, fitness, FaceTime etc. Also the speed of the apps loading blows away the speed of how the apps load on the smart tv. Then there’s the remote ability on your iPhone. Awesome. Also a great feature is using your AirPods with your tv easily. My only gripe so far is that the remote that shows on your IPhone could be more robust. There’s no number pad to dial in channels if you’re using a cable tv streaming app. Other than that this is a no brained to add. It works great.
