Most people want new games, not polished old ones, remasters are and easy and quick way to pump out a game, R* just dont do that.
@@youtubeisgarbage900 Yeah sure, they are still around, true that, but the quality and reputation they are known for has tumbled down the hill and hit rock bottom long ago and recent events are clear indicator people aren't buying into their tricks anymore, at least not with that fossil they have for a game engine. All those developers/publishers seem to be mainly interested in satisfying the investors and fondling their balls, it's not about gaming communities and gamers anymore, it's about shareholders and their money. That model can't hold for too long. I can't wait too see that happen with Rockstar as well, it happened with EA and Activision /Blizzard, it happened with Bethesda, they won't be an exception, I hope. They are so good in masking their half baked products in so called 'masterpieces' with good stories and good graphics, yet their open worlds and gameplay tied to it, is clear shit, nothing but one big fetch quest waiting for multiplayer in order to implement MICROtransactions. Everyone is so in rush making money for investors that they forgot to make games.
Actually it has been going on for years now in Bethesda's case, but it took a major flop to 'open' our eyes finally. Yeah, the main reason I'm nostalgic, is because I find many classics - especially AAA ones, to be better games than their modern succesors. Replay value of RDR2 cannot be compared to III, VC or SA for example, I couldn't force myself to beat that game for the second time, let alone wonder through that empty and boring world, beautiful with great story indeed, but boring nonetheless, with its meaningless and harassing gameplay and mechanics. Fetch quest, counterintuitive piece of shit. Unlike Activision or EA, Rockstar or T2 - same shit - knows how to bribe us with good story, before shoving their microtransaction dick down our throats. That service-based gaming whore crap is seriously getting into way of some good gameplay, especially in single player, don't think it's tied to mp only.
One of the reasons why I would love to see proper remakes of those classics is actually least tied to nostalgia; I want to believe Rockstar still got it and there won't be any multiplayer nonsense, microtransaction service-based bull shit and we could finally see some upgraded mechanics and systems at play in regards to interaction with the world around us and systems and mechanics it could bring.
Don't know why I needed to write all that, but there it is.
I would really want you to be right, maybe I was expecting too much out of these new modern games, they somehow look like shit to me.
Btw, you can do whatever the hell you like with you money, no reason to judge that buy.

Edit: I stand by what I said lol and don't know why I keep being upvoted? But yeah so far I don't like the character models Rockstar used and prefer these as IMO its a nice inbewteen. Everything else in Rockstar ver. looks fine but continue to go off.

@@profesor-cris That has got to be the most incorrect comment I have ever seen in my entire life. I completely agree with you that stuff like GTA V expanded and enhanced looks exactly the same as the previous iterations and people need to stop buying everything that Rockstar releases.
The only thing that I'm saying is that the trailer for the remastered trilogy looks great. The graphics are obviously not going to be on the level of things like RDR2 but it looks nice for what it is. The graphics are highly improved in many areas while still keeping the more cartoony artstyle that was present in these older games. I find it a little unreasonable that some people expected realistic graphics since Rockstar didn't start making realistic artstyles until GTA IV. I feel like if the graphics were more realistic then it might start to lose that original aesthetic.
The truth is that you simply want to hate everything about Rockstar so even though these trailers look great, you'll never accept them because you're just that much of a hater.

Gta vc official definitive version looks nothing compared to this.
They just made graphics look realistic but your whole different concept of art style looks way cooler.
Also ,none of your remastered character losed their original identity.
While in official version they look little different."more realistic".
And its not like they couldnt do it. They just went for realism.

for real after seeing what definative edition is I think is soo much better rockstar learned nothing from these guys and this is even 4 years old

Characters models should have remained like this
when you actually look at the gifs Rockstar has just released, you wouldn't be saying that. Tommy looks amazing in the new game specially in motion. Just look up the gifs.
@@arabpride9939 are you serious....... maaan..... compare this graphics over here!! at definitive edition is really stupid because the characters looks like dough or the sims characters only good thing about the "remastered" is the textures but unreal engine already make this instantly just you to put some shaders
@@cowpoke3194 did you see the new gifs rockstar released? Watch those. The problem with retaining the same low polygon look in characters is that it's not adequate. What makes this fan made trailer look good is the shading, lighting and foliage and their physics. But he literally used the same character models which looks a bit out of place. Tommy in here barely has eyes due to how limited the technology was. Developers couldn't add more polygons to characters and had to only add it where it counts so you end up getting a disfigured image of what the developers actually intended to create.

@@TheWindows1995 I think you misunderstood my comment. I wasn't trying to say the Definitive Edition is worse, or that R* is bad at what they do, just that OP did a very good job with this video because of how much it looks like R*'s version.
Most "remaster" videos like this just use GTA V mods but this channel probably got the closest to R*'s actual vision for the Trilogy so I think they deserve props for that.
Looks way better then the definitive edition will ever be.
