I always thought that GTA Vice City was done so well because its creators were people who either spent their college or teenage years in the 80s. They simply had the best memories and contact with that reality. Nothing like it will ever be created again. Btw, 2002 and 1986 (the year of the GTA VC campaign) are only 16 years apart!!
