Being that I live in Oklahoma, and am 95 miles northeast of Tulsa on Grand Lake, a tidbit of information about Tulsa. Tulsa sits on Historic Route 66 that runs from Chicago to Santa Monica. In nearby Commerce is the boyhood home of Yankee Great, Mickey Mantle, north of Miami. Next time you run through northeast Oklahoma, try Grand Lake. We have ample camping sites on the lake.
@@shebamaree9026 I noticed you came down US-177 to the Cimarron Turnpike out of Kansas. A good route out of Wichita to Tulsa is US-400 to US-75 just south of Neodesha. There is Ralph Mitchel Zoo in Independence just off Oak Street. Its free and open to the public. I went to high school in Independence Kansas.
I live in Tulsa and I really enjoyed the video that you made. I also have been to the Natural falls state park as well. It is a shame that you didn't make it to the bottom to check out the falls. It's really quite a sight to behold. Of course, you got the gist of it. I'm sure it didn't help that it was raining so much! Good luck in Arkansas!
Born and raised here. I cant help but giggle when I see people from out of state stopping to see the Tulsa driller. 😂 Skiatook lake isn't a bad drive to tulsa either. Should have walked down and around at Natural Falls. Thats where they filmed "Where the Red Fern Grows."
I just came upon your video’s and now I’m watching them constantly. My wife and I have an rv and use it quite often. I’m impressed with all the places you go and are willing to go to all the attractions and share with us. Thank you so very much for all your efforts. We are retired and are going to try and sight see as much as you do. We are in our seventies (me ) and sixties ( wife) and have some limitations but we’re not complaining. Again , thank you so much for the videos. You’re our heroes.
I loved the this video and the koi pond was one of my favorite parts. I also loved how you filmed downtown it looks so beautiful! Love from Tulsa and remember to mask up and stay safe!
I recently visited tulsa for my winter break and i loved it! My dad & i are huge fans of the outsiders movie, so we did go around town and saw the filming locations including the house😁 We loved it so much & cant wait to go back once it is warmer!!
We just found your channel and we love it so much! Sorry you visited Natural Falls in such a rainy season. It's one of our favorite places to camp in that area. The falls and the trails are beautiful in better weather.
Watching early in the morning and a couple of LOL moments!! 😂 The Gathering Place tho 😳 What an amazing gift to the folks in Tulsa - we’d love to visit sometime for sure. Keep the laughs coming guys - love your entertaining vlogs!! 👍
I hope you get to stop at the Diamond State park and get to go looking for your Diamond It would make a great video You might find a big one. Its a lot of fun great camping at the park
Also another fun place if you go a little further north east in Disney OK, it’s called Little Blue Hole. Beautiful crystal clear water, it is breathtaking! Not to many ion Grand Lake, which is also beautiful!
If your ever in the Tulsa area again, I would recommend checking out boondockers welcome sites. There are several much closer to town. Thanks for showing a little part of our town, come back when the weather is nicer! We have tons of paved trails for cycling. Frank Loyd Wright, price tower is not far away in Bartlesville. TJ you should surprise Brie with a night stay in a room designed by Frank Loyd Wright! Talk about a relationship move. Safe travels.
You guys should’ve swam in the Arkansas river! It’s soooo refreshing! Plus, sometimes you’ll step on the right hypodermic needle and get a little buzz!
TJ, stellar commentary 😂! Brodie is pretty smart, he gets treated like royalty while you guys slog in the heat, mud, rain, sleet, snow and ice 😆. All he has to do is smile and be cute. Great video!
You guys should come to the lake of the Ozarks in South central Mo. when you come to the mid west. It’s the largest tourist destination in the mid west. Huge lake. Huge State Parks...
Listen you two, TJ’s comment about “more water coming out of roof gutters” sent us to the floor laughing. That is easily the funniest remark we’ve EVER heard on RUclips!! We were rolling! We watched it more than once! Good work to you both!! I’m just gonna have to become a Patreon now!

Very, very entertaining 👏 😀, you guys just crack us up laughing, that park looked amazing. Bree should write a book 📖 titled, HOW TO COMMUNICATE WHEN IN A RELATIONSHIP, Chapter#1, I will tell you where I want to go, and you will take me there and you will enjoy it.. Chapter#2, I will tell you what to say, and you will say it, TRY IT.... LOLOLOLOL, great video🤪🤪🤣🤣
Next time you come through, highly recommend Cherry Hill Park. It’s a mobile home/RV park. Very clean, has a pool and right on the corner of HWY 75 and IH44/66 :) Minutes from downtown!
There is one thing worse than hitching up in 27 degrees in the rain: having your rig winterized, covered in snow, and waiting to get out again! Great video as always.
We have a boondockers welcome location in Tulsa too! Actually there are lots around Tulsa. Probably the best way to visit Tulsa in an RV would be to stay at a boondockers welcome site.
Northwest Arkansas is beautiful. Hope you are able to explore it in detail. Remember, it is a Natural and Fayetteville just happens to be my hometown. 🤗🤗🤗🇺🇸
Hello Embracing Detours! Fellow full-timers here (Maria and Waylon), currently in Atlanta, GA heading through Tulsa next week on the way to an extended stay near Phoenix Arizona. I know I could look at google maps satellite view, but I'd trust yalls opinion 😁 TIA, maybe we'll see yall passing by in our travels as well 👋
So cool to see y'all in my backyard. I had a feeling when you were in Wichita you might make it by here. Can't believe you didn't go to Woolaroc or the Big Blue Whale!!!

We make felt board panels so our patches will stick with velcro. It make a nice souvenir that doesn't take up storage space and will allow us to take it with us if we ever sell the van. Thanks for watching 🙂
