    I use music to keep me going on this. I have to do it for an entire song. If you're not pretty much begging for death by the end, your song isn't long enough! Heh-heh, most of my music is 5-minute songs.

    Really helpful guide to how to do this exercise. I found it about a year ago, and now it’s pretty much my whole abs routine. However my initial experience with it led to a bit of pain and suffering. My abs were in a lot worse shape than I realized. This suffering did not occur until the next day, and stretched into the next afterwards. It’s very easy to overdo…. The better your form the sorer you will be. I suggest spending a week or two of doing a little as three or four reps everyday while learning your form. Don’t worry about doing your full range of hip flex, just enough to explore how the exercise work. I then focused on 2 sets of however many I did in that early week. Now I do the first set with the full 15 reps using one of the harder versions of the exercise, followed by another set using a much easier version, etc. I’ve things this method with other abs programs over the years. . The abs can generate more suffering than any other muscle group!!! - all harmless, but sore just the same. I’m 70 plus. If I were 30 years younger I would not be this cautious. But it’s worth your patience - it’s a great family of exercises and it involves lots of other muscle as well. I think it’s the best bang-for-the buck exercise I’ve ever found!

    Hi Will Found your channel a few weeks back and find it really helpful now I've turned 65! Have recently bought your book too and it's so easy to read and understand. One question I have is though... You seem to have lots of different exercises to be done every day so I'm not quite sure how to put them all together to get an overall daily routine which covers all aspects of the body. Do you have any videos you can point me to that has a daily "check list" of exercises to do as a routine please? Thanks for all your brilliant advice! 😊

    • @NexusDL12
      @NexusDL12 11 дней назад +1

      I find that same issue when I go to physical therapy. They give you many different exercises. If I did them all in one day it would take over an hour to cover them all and for some reason they don’t give you a sequencing of exercises to follow, so I just take my favorites that I think works best for me and go with that and also change it up with some of the other exercises they gave me if I can remember them ha ha.
      I try to do 15 min to 30 min a day. Even 10 minutes of a couple of excercise is better than nothing.

    You're great! Thank you! I preordered your book and can't wait for October 1. I had well toned abs when I used an ab machine with weights, but the gym is gone and so are signs of those muscles. I'm 72 and hoping I can still grow those and others. FYI- I work out w/ a trainer and do the exercise on the floor- he calls it "spiderman-" but for some reason, he never stressed tightening the core and maintaining proper muscle control during the reps. So maybe that's the reason I don't see growth. My butt is also gone- completely flattened, so I tried your glutes exercise on the floor. One set w/ proper form was tough. I also tried the goblet squat you demonstrated and that was too easy. I do sumo squats with a 20 lb bow flex, and lunges with 12.5 lbs each hand, but so far see nothing. Is the sumo squat equivalent to the goblet squat in effectiveness? I've been working out for 2 months, 2x a week. Sorry for so many questions!

      Hi Will, Is this exercise suitable for osteopenia sufferers and facet joint problems? Does your book consider bone strength or is it just about muscle strength?

    It looks like when you do the "plank" version of this on the floor, do you bring your knee a bit to the side each time to be able to clear the floor?

    The final (floor) version really feels like a challenge but my wrists get sore quickly. Any suggestions to ease wrist fatigue ? I use a yoga mat on carpet.(I am 69 and thin bones).
