      @@rosalynbrown1613 I have a bad back. I can't do planks for more than two weeks without my back to start hurting permanently. It's not that I can't do planks, or that I have a weak back (in fact, I had quite a strong back already as a child) , it's just a few compressed disks in my lower back that makes planks inappropriate for me.

    Would this be a suitable for a 9 year old? My granddaughter is weak on her left side and has little core strength due to cerebral palsy. It might be a great exercise to do together.
    Thank you for presenting stretches and exercises in a way that not only makes sense, but is also motivating.

    I know its not relevant to this video, but when i walk, my right foot tends to roll under, is there an exercise to correct it?

    I'm 55 and I cycle about 4 to 6 hours every week. Is cycling enough to strengthen my core or do I also need to do what you described here?

    Oh you're right, who knew ageing equalled having your lower back feel like a door hinge due to pure overuse to do friggin anything worth doing!❤

    My physio adds an extra step, where the arms are at full extension, I twist my upper body (waist fixed in space) and turn my upper body away from the bands fixed location.

    Great move and exercise. But you should probably show where to anchor the band on something that everybody would have in their home.

    Considering the fact that a specially designed gym machine where you twist in the waist left and right would do nothing but harm to your spine this is a nice alternative.

    I discovered your channel a few months ago. I am 75. I have loved so many of your exercises and they do help. However, I just don't see how I could possibly do all of the exercises I need to do 3 times a day. Knees, blood pressure, lower back, core, glutes, etc. What's the best way to manage the execution of all these movements?

    • @renataborecka2548
      @renataborecka2548 Месяц назад +2

      You don't need to do any exercise three times a day! Once is enough. Every exercise twice a week. And you can rotate. Some Mondays and Wednesdays, some Tuesdays and Thursdays. And you're done

    How is this different than standing in this position and using a set of dumbbells to do progressive overload?

    • @karynstouffer3562
      @karynstouffer3562 Месяц назад +3

      Because you're using your core to avoid rotating, not just holding weight out in front of yourself. If you twist your body while holding weight out front, you could very well injure your back.
