I like growing out the Dino but overall I think it's a boring game. Running around the map picking up pine cones and branches gets boring quickly.
if u want action get to impact crater or grand plains or saltflats its wild there
@@S0LAAARRRRRikr plus there’s something called community death match servers that make you instantly adult with inf marks and you can get right into the action, only downside is that there are no rules so you can mix pack but overall very fun

Idk, I like this game alot it's the perfect game to play while listening to a podcast or some weird video essay, the action comes when you finish growing and pvp or just fuck around with ppl (pachy)
Grow to hunt and get u a team . Thats when the fun begins
The questing gets really tedious when it only gives you 3 quests per zone a lot of times. So you end up spending so much time traveling areas alone.

They should add tree feeding and lakeweed edible to specific Dinos. Including AI dinos
I love this game, it has a special place in my heart. My whole life ive been waiting for a game like this, real life is pretty boring and being an animal surviving with other players seemed so fun, but unfortunately official servers are PAIN. The last time i played official i think was February of this year, Idk how bad it is now but the devs seemed to have made questing and growing even more a pain like a game should be fun, not a chore. I am not saying they should make passive growth, but holy crap they make the questing system so bad like how do people play official servers, the toxicity there is genuinely disgusting. But I feel like this game is starting to get boring like, the things they doing to Rex, Sarco Eo Trike, and others their nerfs are so bad and i feel like the only reason why people are still playing this game is because it is on console, mobile, pc unlike other games like Isle and there is a huge modding community and community servers i only play community server and only one cause officials suck so badly. And another that confuse me is i think before the devs said they wanted their models to be realistic, but not game play, so why are they nerfing thr big guys like Rex and Sarco so badly -_-

First off thanks for bringing so much attention to this game it has became one of my favorite survival games. If growth didn’t take so long more new players would enjoy pvp more because the penalty isn’t as bad. PvP can be fun in this game but when you get kos a few times in a row due to respawning close to aggressive Dino’s it really makes a new player want to quit. I bought this game on PS5 on day one last year as I’m a Dinosaur super fan after playing official for less than a week I quit and uninstalled the game. Recently in the last month or so I stumbled across your videos and found out about community servers I reinstalled and so far with passive growth and questing xp on community servers it makes it so much better I grew a Rex to adult with questing and passive growth within 4 hours that’s much more reasonable than official and the body down and herbs only being able to be aggressive if harassed or threatened helps a lot on those servers. I mainly play Life Finds a Way but for testing Dino’s and quick PvP I play Jurassic hub as it has really fast growth
But first you need to pay for new dino. You can't get free it not is. And with impossible events.
Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you making videos on a beta game in such a niche genre. I bought this game because of my love and admiration of dinosaurs and I didn’t realize what I was getting into when I first got it. It’s frustrating to say the least. I just lowkey rage quit from playing as an allo in the grand plains because I got bum rushed and killed by basically a herd of ceretopsians and I didn’t even see them or provoke them. I’ve been playing for about a month and a half and It’s almost been impossible to kill herbivores as a carnivore. It seems like most people who play are assholes tbh. But what keeps me playing are the little things. Seeing butterflies here or there or watching beautiful sunsets or admiring the character designs of my dinos when I finally get them to sub adult/adult growth. This game has so much promise and potential so hearing you talk about the devs not being receptive to feedback from the people who patron and play their game is saddening and disappointing. Regardless of all this, the game can be a peaceful escape after a long day and I’m still grateful I’m able to play. Keep making content and we appreciate you keeping shit real.

I think this is a pretty fair assessment. I guess the only thing to say on the player base is there’s some localisation, for me that’s mainly British or English-speaking Europeans, there’s toxicity but the only racism I’ve seen was in someone’s username one time.
Also agree on the strange changes, like the addition and then removal of quest stacking. I get the issue is that you can have a gazillion completed quests to instantly grow back after a death, but the flip side is it gave you a reason to carry on questing other than coinage for new skins.
Thanks for the videos! I play on official with a friend… i agree it’s a very tough game to enjoy. Mega packs that kos really kill it for us. We’ve been playing nothing but pachy, pycno, and alio so that we can choose the engagements and disengage with speed. We don’t get very many kills as a result… but it beats getting curb stomped
Try an EO if you guys like Herbis. Man you'd be suprised how many 3v1s you'd win as an EO.
You know a game is fucked up when it forces you to play certain dinos over others, just to survive and not get bullied. I regret I wasted my money on this game
I think passive growth should cap out at 40% per growth stage. That way, it would be a bonus but still discourage bush camping to grow
Recently I noticed community servers don’t seem to load or show on the page , The game is beautiful and massive especially if you play as the aquatic Dinos, I found it fun to read comments on the chat box , But I noticed that you well die a lot from other dinosaurs but not so much , also I do want to mention that the food and water meter seem to drain a lot , and it can get repetitive, But I won’t give up on the game since is new and awesome for dinosaur fans , just that The game can get boring , I hope primal earth and the hunted deos not fall under the same thing as path of titans and that the devs do lesson , thats all I wanted to say great video can’t wait to see the positive review on the game
I agree with everything you said. I wish we could get a similar game with more humble and communicative devs. Also why not add AI to make it more realistic. I want to hunt a deer or a rabbit. If The Isle and PoT could merge into a single game that would be great
And don't trust random waystone or group invites.People pretends that is your friend but they will kill you.This ruins the game.

The complaint i usually have after officials not having passive growth, toxic chat, and groups of toxic people kos just to ruin everyones good time is the food and water drain. I feel like once you want to take a break from picking up pinecones and milk caps in glc you are still shackled to food and water. I would enjoy just exploring and goofing off with friends without having to eat and drink every five seconds! It feels like they drained all the fun out of the game unless you group up with 8 mix packers at lbm and trash talk everyone in the server, which most people do seem to enjoy on officals. I enjoy the game, but it could be so much better if it didn't feel like a job that you don't get paid for.
Guys, I have a question… So, I bought PoT on my PC a while ago but my PC died… So, I tried to download it on my Xbox but it asks me to pay… Is there any possible way for me to just download it again with my account or do I have to pay it again ??
I would also like to add that community servers are mostly originated from the West. Meaning players like me who live in Asia, either have to experience high ping or just stay on Official. So the lack of more local community servers is also a problem.

They need to make so you can travel from waystone to waystone without needing anyone to ws you.. i feel this little change would make it somewhat enjoyable. Running 45mins across a map just to get back to where ppl are is annoying.

If you buy the game on console, then make sure you sign into the same Alderon account when you go on mobile game aswell. And then you should have all the dinos

I agree with everything you say In this video especially about the toxic community I got have had my own runnings with some wild admins on power trips but I try to remember that they're people too and that they have a job to do but and I mean but... They don't have to control everything you do in the game That's quite annoying and even more annoying when you don't do what they say they get infuriated. I'm the type of person the more you tell me to do things instead of ask me and then hit me with the ultimatum is where I draw the line between respect and disrespect.

Best community servers are semi realistic ones imo. More often than not, all the rules on full rp servers break the immersion, turnin more into lawyer battles than dinos battles. Wont advertise here, but u can MP me if you wanna try the one i'm playing on.
Any new players id just say skip official and just find a good semi realism server and pvp server if you just want combat cause theres more mod maps more mod dinos and and most of the semi realism servers make hunting or surviving a hunt easier cause people cant mix herbivore and carnivores together and some servers force you to have the same type of dinos packed together plus most have faster growth and passive growth so your not spending 8hrs growing something just for it to die in a completely unfair situation
I wish this game was like isle & I completely agreed on the you’ll be alone & KOS official. Hotspot is the only spot you’ll find ppl but probably dead & respawn asap by getting gang up on
Personally, this game is fun, specifically with friends, but by yourself?? It is anxiety inducing, I'm so paranoid of being near ANYONE that I even scare myself with my own steps, because the majority of players you encounter are just straight up KOS, and it's so frustrating when you die for it, it's so punishing... We all agree that they should just add passive growth, growing is so grindy and it takes several days to make your dino become an adult. At this point I mostly play Thal since there's less risk of dying (unless you perhaps meet another bird).
I don't know how they could fix the whole KOS thing, I don't think there will ever be a way to fix that, because it's just what people do... And yea I've tried asking questions in the official server but I've just been outright ignored by everyone there lmao

Take my advice to play something slow play something as fast as alio or pycno so that you can run away
I disagree with the other guy comment. The Amarg is GREAT solo, if you land a stomp its basically over with for them. We don't choose to run from a tussle, we choose to turn it around and make them look goofy! (Also an Amarg enjoyer)
@@JuiceReloadedWhile I love amargasaurus ( i'm a Amarg enjoyer too) its not the best solo dino, ive been hunted down, killed on sight and while you now stomp while walking charge up is a bit slow so players will wait for you to try and stomp to bait you into using to make it easier to kill, trust me happened to a friend who was a adult amarg & a alberta literally baited him into stomp to get in close
@@Pyroraptor635 If you know they're baiting your stomp, don't take the bait. You're tanky and deal enough bleed damage for frontal attacks. I don't recommend tail. You're not the agressor, so each time they run in, just use the regular attack, and you have a TON of stam. Now, when your bleed from the headbut kicks in, you rush them. Agajn you have a ton of stam, you know ur not going to actually chase them down, but bait them into seeing ur attempting to, when they turn, stop sprint and instantly stomp. By time u come down, they can't back out. I've even killed Latens Alios & Concs doing this. Let them think you're chasing them. No its not a perfect solo dino, but with Lone Survivor, and either defense++ or attack, you can 1v1 or 1v2 A LOT of dinos. You just have to bait the baitors.
@@JuiceReloaded Thanks man for the advice, its just any creatures after like concs , megas, alios, ceras & metries you are generally just fucked like, i was on a community realism server, and four dasp pretty much shut me down, an allo would have the tools to take down an amarg with not much trouble and dont get me started with suchos

It could be so much better if you didn’t spend majority of the time doing boring quest to grow and you can’t logout you have to safelog so you won’t lose growth which is completely stupid

What you all nees to know that this game hates strictly solo players. The devs want it group based and you will not enjoy the game if you only wanna play solo.

Just recently joined a community server because it had passive growth, I am now a firm believer that community servers are where you go when u can't cut it in official
I've never seen so much crybabys in one server, including admins, like all they want to do is sit next to a lake and stare at each other. To top it off I see these grown ass men calling other men daddy for protection 😂.

Just got this today, 4 hours in & honestly i just feel stressed and feel like ive nausea. The models and maps are beautiful but the actual gameplay itself is so bloody boring and confusing. Quests like "finding pinecones, find flowers" is straight out not fun. I feel the quests in general are just honestly kinda hard, for a new player anyways. Ive came across only 2 other real players aswell in the 4 hours ive played it. I feel pretty sad cause i had alot of hope for this game but i guess it just isn't interesting me...
Ian played this game on months only because the questing mainly. shit is a drag and very boring & the lack of Dino’s in other areas other than the hot spots. I like the game for the most part cuz but those two things make it unplayable really
As someone who doesn’t mind games being games. Being killed by a creature that wouldn’t have even fought such a creature at the time is weird.

Don't get me raw, but people on it are mean and selfish and kill me a lot and people don't want to be friends with me and yeah it gets boring when your the only one dieing and questing is to they should fix the growth in the other maps instead of the servers having passive growth and kick people out of the game that are mean to others to that point were they shouldn't play that game anymore cuz people are to mean naw a days to the point where I just want to kill them in real life 😒 cuz people are just can't play fairly and they just make you mad

@@SIMPLYAMAZINGYT Yes exactly, community servers shouldn't be the solution. And in many cases can have their own problems. Personally I think there should be systems and mechanics in the game design that make it fun but not too punishing. In some cases there's so many strict rules it takes the fun out of the game completely and it is a lot to remember when you want to just have a bit of fun being a dinosaur.
Listening music while on official servers? I personally don't really recommend it unless the music volume is very low, I recommend as well to disable in game music too, because listening to sounds while playing on there will help you to be more careful most of the times for avoid getting in danger especially if you are a baby playing. Perhaps, is also true this game is still in development and who knows when it will be completed... Regarding the admins in the community servers? Luckily not all are bad, but yes, most of them are just a bunch of frustrated woke kiddos playing victim over everything and this is something that really pisses me off.

Herbivores are not balanced. I think playing a carnivore in this game is very weak (if you like playing alone). Playing as apex, it turns out that everything is too fast for you, playing mid tier is either too fast or too strong. They should add mechanics to prevent the dinosaur from escaping once a careless player is captured. At the same time, I think that such a dinosaur as a trike should be able to fight an equal fight with a rex. But, for example, playing in a group of raptors, you should have respect when hunting rex, because now his bite means nothing, you still have half hp and you still have a chance to either run away or keep trying to fight. In The Isle, which has its problems and isn't perfect. Engaging in a fight is risky, and being caught by the apex is a death sentence for the smaller dinosaur. I think it's a fair injustice when it comes to this type of game.

I'll be honest. Maybe it's just me but I think the only reason anyone buys PoT is because it's the only creature survival game on consoles.
Least that was my reasoning. Feel like if The Isle was on consoles, people would play The Isle more than PoT

My thoughts: buff sarco its way to week to little health to loud its supposed to be a silent abush predator it's ability cool down is way to long and it needs sum kind of bone brake or high bleed because 90% of its pray gets away unless its sleeping or smaller than the sarco itself

I almost did not buy this game because there is a mobile version. In my experience any game with a mobile version is typically a trash game. This one surprised me but Idk, game leaves me wanting a lot more.
i been playing the isle for 4 days and im already sick of it from the atrocious servers and people just being overall annoying POT even with this information just seems like the better game plus theres only 13 dinos in the isle im already bored of the game
I just bought this game and its so aids on official servers. I do not recommend buying this game because all youll get is killed as a baby constantly unless you partner up with someone who has a full grown adult and teamed up on by 4 other people if you are alone.

You’re talking this game down wayyyy too much, just find the right community servers and 80% of those problems are fixed. I was also on many servers and never had problems with admins and toxicity was also never higher than in other mmos.
i know this game has alot of good things aswell. But i wanted to let people know what to expect if they buy this game lol. Community servers have their own issues which i will cover in a future video
