i got a question, will path of titans on PS4 be online 4 free? cuz i aint paying 10 dollars a months to be online and i dont want to find myself paying 32 dollars to be in the singleplayer sandbox
Some of my own little tips I discovered after 5 days of playing 1. There are friendly Dino's out there that want to help quest, just be careful 2. When you are small avoid open areas (avoid them even when big if you don't like a fight). Stick to the trees and bushes, avoid doing quests in open areas, rest in bushes. 3. Don't run everywhere, you never know when you're gonna need that stamina to avoid being killed 4. Use a resource map, it helps A LOT 5. If you must run everywhere keep an eye on your stamina, you don't want to get to a waystone with low stam only to realise there's a camper 6. Keep moving, don't stay in one area too long, just do the quest and get going, the longer you're there the higher the chance someone will come along. 7. If you are a herbivore, NEVER trust a carnivore, they are always lying 8. All packys are ass holes and it only takes two to destroy any herbivore, even a triceratops.
Absolutely love the last one and approve of all the others too, but I’d like to add another. If you’re a herbi or a carni, don’t trust herbs. They’re more aggressive than carnis and you can test that all you want just make sure to get at least a week’s sample size.
To calculate actual damage take attacker's weight ÷ victim's weight. That is your multiplier. Take you base damage and multiply it by your multiplier. For example, an deinonycus bites an allo, Deinon weights 1000 and allo weighs 4000, 1000÷4000= .25. Deinon's bite does 50 base damage, so 50×.25=12.5 damage per bite to allo. Allo has 700 health so 700÷12.5= 56 bites to kill an allo as deinon. (Hard solo, easy in a pack) Allo turns around and bites deinon, 4000÷1000=4. Allo's bite does 60 base damage, 60×4=240 damage so 240 damage per bite from allo to deinon. Deinon has 500 health so 500÷240=2.08 bites to kill a deinon. Easy peasy!
All I got to say it’s not about running faster than the hostile players, it’s about running faster your group members and surviving for another in game day.
They need to do a bit more for growth. Some passive. Maybe based on eating or killing in general. ONLY growing via quests is awful on some Dino’s like sarco which are slow AF on land.
What's funny about that? I was playing with the PS4 group that I hang out with and we took over drop off Lake like whenever we're on there. That's where we hang out Someone spawned in And laid down so he wouldn't get spotted. But he did get spotted by one of us we charge. I get the kill then get called a cheater because i'm on mobile When he spawned right on my friend who spotted him yet i'm the one that is cheating
@@9bort115he’s saying that the graphics on mobile are so low in comparison, it gave them the edge. Common in games like this, pubg, warzone, and war thunder
9:09 on official servers, you cannot change your diet unless you're in the home cave. Bonus tip for changing diet, the faster metabolism is a benefit to if you're still trying to grow because it gives you the "find food" quest at shorter intervals because you get hungry sooner. YMMV, some dinos lose food very quickly and it might be more annoying than helpful for the quicker eat quest.
When it comes to semi-realism servers, I vastly prefer them. I play on Nat Hist, which is a small server made and run by people who actually work in the paleontology field. The rules are simple enough - no mix packing (varied herb herds are fine), party limits so you don't have like 5 apexes together, etc etc. There are also engagement rules for combat so you're discouraged from mass-hunting if you're not hungry, stop combat if a body goes down, and you must stay with a body you hunted until you're done eating it or chased off of it. Some servers also have designated 'safe zones' which encourage interaction for players who might just want to vibe, or a place you can park your dino without worry if you need to AFK for a bit. Most of it is common sense stuff so it's rarely something you feel like you need a whole manual open on another screen to make sure you're not screwing up. There aren't any hyper-specific behavior profiles for each dino, but gameplay is encouraged towards "play in a way that makes sense". I think one thing you missed about community servers is that many of them hold events! These can be super fun and encourage people to play dinos they normally wouldn't, such as having a herd of less-often-played herbs migrating across the map and the goal being to survive being hunted by another party of players while working as a group, or the challenge of taking down a huge dino with a group of only deinons.
Thanks for these videos! I’ve been playing just a couple of weeks now on PS5 and these have helped me loads. I grew Allo first too, currently working on a Metri.
Something ive learned which probably aplies to nature as well is to find a good place to hide and grow as a juvenile. If you try interacting with adults who aren't your friends or questing with you they will be gunning for you just for kicks.
This was a very helpful video. A friend got me Into this game and she told me some of what you mentioned, but alot of it I learned on my own. I also joined a few PoT Facebook groups and have been getting help there. When my friend isn't on to play with, I've been growing a different Dino on my own. I've been finding that the Multi-player/official servers are hit and miss with toxic players and friendl players. I've had days where I can't get out of the juvi stage cuz every player I encounter kills me on sight even when they're not a carni. Then I've had days where I can play for hours without being killed cuz the other players just wanna quest. It's really a 50/50 😂
One thing with this game, as I've been playing for a few months, I absolutely love the game but I do feel as if it's not the most balanced as some dinosaurs are just significantly better than others in every size group but other than that it is an insanely fun game especially for a console player it's a nice change of style

correction about changing your dino diets as herbi (or for carni too etc ) like he showed here , you cant change you abilities and so diets on officials if you arent in a homecave while on community servers they allow player to change them by just laying down and sleeping wherever they are on the map and so dont need to go for homecave

I first tried with Apatossaurus and man... he's defense and attack is one of the strongest IF adult.. a group of maips attacked me and i killed all 3 of them with the tail swing. XD
On the isle, realism servers usually have a one carcass rule, meaning that during a hunt, when someone dies, the hunt stops until the carcass is fully eaten. That's because IRL when, let's say lions, go hunting and get a kill, they don't keep chasing the herd, they already have their meal. Now, another group of predators usually needs to fight for the carcass, but that varies, some allow a carcass per group/species, but usually it's just one. Now that diet is a big part of feeding the rules changed a bit, like cannibalism is restricted to some species due to diet, so they can hunt for decent prey.
I'm having fun and documentary immersion in semi-realism experience servers and that's my taste play. And thanks for the tips, I just recently learn I can switch Diet mode as a herbivore when I can't find anything to eat. While before I keep dying esp. when I'm not familiar yet the spots for berries, melons and bananas too.
Don't get freaked out when you die. You will rise again and the lychees will still be waiting for you. This game validates the eternal recurrence hypothesis.
I started a megalania and grew it to adult and got the all black skin in about 12 or 13 hours probably could have done it faster but that's proof it takes about 10 hrs to fully grown a fast dino
I'm about to buy the game and I just wanna say this video is great. I've been looking at some of the community servers and their rules and they seem a bit overwhelming at the moment so I guess I'll stick to the official servers for now.
Way back when, voip was planned it even had a keybind(t), but was never fully implemented. I'm not sure where it is on priority, or if it's even still on the table to be done. Community server types- you are mostly right. RP servers are considered more relaxed than realism and come with more leeway on play type. But more strict than semi/light rp. Realism server's are "serious roleplay" with player's dedicated to their dinos profile to act their part. Semi/light servers generally have rules along "don't kill around waystone area, no spam calling, etc." basically don't be a griefer. They fluctuate greatly on engaging/hunting rules though most will mention upon joining the server if going to their discord for more information is needed or not.
An interesting thing - on mobile if you buy the premium currency, and for the premium currency the dino packs it is cheaper (I think it was approx 1€/pack cheaper).
So, hopefully i can get a reply. Trying to get into this game. Playing on Xbox Series. Is the $30 Founders Version enough to let me play the full game & get all the Dinos?

I feel there’s an easy solution for this that I’m just completely missing. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
if i grow to adult in a private can i use that same dino in a public , and it will still be an adult
Can I use the same dino on different servers
How do you leave a group? I can’t figure out how to get out
Could logging in and logging out at home cave give you that bonus?
Do your stats improve as your growing ? Or after every stage , like as I'm growing will my attack/Health grow by very lil eat time ? Or are we set with health & attack from a baby all the way through & only grow in size . Curious about that (sorry if I made it sound confusing)
Yes stats improve as you grow
@@SIMPLYAMAZINGYT thank you my man , your videos are really helpful to me & my bro that just started playing 2 weeks ago ! Keep em coming !!
Has a baby flyer how do I already have a quest yo kill a herbivore. Can't even damage one lol
So for home cave, do u have to only go into the cave u first chose at the very beginning, like the one u chose for ur quest to get that buff? Cause ive laid down and signed out in home caves before and come back but dont get that purple bar, ive only managed to get the purple bar once-
I’m not doing these quests
Hello, I need help. I play on Xbox and I can only play the new map in singleplayer. If I wanna play multiplayer there is only Panjora. I also cant find other players. I can’t even find them in the hotspots. Pls help
And there is still one thing, if I go to the community server tab there are no servers
thinking about getting this game for my birthday and im wondering if thalassodromeus would be beginner friendly for me? with games like this i often play flyers because i prefer a playstyle of exploring and scavenging, and i dont really mind pvp but it isnt my thing so normally i just keep a safe distance from players im suspicious of + because of how often i play these flyers im a bit better and more confident than playing as something strictly terrestrial or aquatic
Yes normally the flyers and the smaller Dino’s are best for beginners that aren’t looking to really pvp but explore instead
So what about with the homecave buffs for the quests how does it go away? Because when i have it my growth meter doesn't go up.
You have to do quests until it goes away but you get double growth xp
@@SIMPLYAMAZINGYT Alright thanks because it always confused me
Can the semi-realism/realism/adaptive realism etc. types of servers be explained? Realism servers intrigue me but I don't want to fiddle around each one and waste time finding something that might not suit my gameplay/RP niche.
I hate that there is no sniffing for food. You are just wandering aimelessly through the map to find some
I love aquatic carnivores then land carnivores cause I’m the water there are fish right? but on the land you have to find corpses and other players to kill and that can be very hard so I thought about it and chose a suchomimus not a very fast Dino but was faster then the strongest Dinos like rexes and Spinos!😁
Dose any one like campto?i do its a fun experience to grow(its also kinda fun to bug ppl by biting them but they can’t catch you)
On officials in order to change any skills you have to be at HC. So the food change option would not work ok n those. Unless changed again.
Damn you’re right, I forgot about that change lol
Um I don’t get it because I’m on console I and it’s just the beta do I not get all Dinos in the video it makes it seem like your supposed to start with all of them is it just because I’m on consoles or do I actually have to pay with money?
Does anyone know where the location of "rubble" in the Burned Forrest is?
How many players transferred from the isle here?
How does it work when you trying to begin to shed
I think you can sleep to accept the waystone instead of logging out.
How do you get coins to buy dinos
great video
I will say the fastest u can run from any thing so long u have stamina
When I get the game do I have to unlock dinos
Why def sub doesnt change your armor in console?
Do you already have all dinos when you buy the game in xbox ?
If you buy the game, then yes
Does this game have offline play, or is it online only?
They really made this game easier for noobs you get more growth now and lose much less when you die I’ve noticed. Not sure if that’s verified but looks like it. Especially on Panjura

I usually just sleep after accepting an invite to a waystone and it teleports me just fine;) Idk about y’all.
Do you have to buy it on Xbox1?
Do all the dinos need gamepass?
Hi, I just want to ask. If you are adult and you got killed, are you gonna turn back to sub adult?
Yes
How do you get them all?
are you playing on ps5?
I can’t change my ability unless in a home cave? Is this just diff on all server?
yeah sorry, i completely forgot they changed it to where you need to be in homecave to change abilities. Ive gotten so use to community servers lol
Can you rate the acro?
Pro tip: trust no one! 😂
I tried buying all of them but it didn’t work
Do u need to unlock dinos on xbox??
No
Mine says shedding and I waited but it doesn’t change the skin 😢
it doesnt fully come in until youre a adult
You can’t use mods on the map with everyone ? Sad
Still waiting for better more interactive quests lol
Sad. Quitting the game. Every server I got on tonight. Had a mix pack killing everyone. Don’t play. Not worth your time.
I've noticed everytime I play any dino qnd run into my kind its friendly but when I'm a sarco it's fuck you on sight and the adults eat the babies
But how do I sprint?!?!
honestly its not worth it rn mods are only uploaded through them and no ai makes it boring especially in a ocean or large map regardless of how many players there are and quest should just be removable and growth rate adjusted feels like a pointless mmo task
Is this cross platform? My kids will for sure want to play this with me but I plan on playing in pc and they have Xbox
yes it is!
