This kind of puts supercars into a totally new perspective. I've always dreamed about owning one but now I realize It's all about flash. You can't drive fast on roads unless you want to go to jail. If you want something just for speed don't get something that's way too expensive just because of who makes it.

I also saw something similar to this. Aventador vs. Rat Rod competing in a straight line race. Needless to say, the Aventador finished in under a minute and the Rat Rod fell apart.
Once an old lady parked her Aventador next to my truck and i asked her if i can take a few pics and maybe sit in it. She said yes, so i did and that was my first and only encounter with an Aventador. It was weird because, after she turned the car off, there was a noise coming out of the side vents behind the doors like some kind of cooling fans were on. It lasted for at least 10 min...Not sure what it was. Cool looking car though :)

Your rat rod is luxurious. My '32 Plymouth coup rat rod didn't have a seat, and the floor pan was a 1 ft. wide piece of plywood that spanned the frame and wasn't even bolted down. It slid back on acceleration, and was stopped by the roll bar. The bad front U-joint and the open driveshaft were a bit of a concern though. Thanks for the memories. You guys are having way too much fun!
It's also more fun to drive like I'm 17 so I drive a 2000 Ford focus hatchback and I I garentee it's more fun to drive than a lamborghini and slow speeds because it's more involved but at "high" speeds past 75-80mph it's scary because of how much wobble it has I should know I've had it going 102 before.

in theory... you're half right. First off: concerning the speed control: do you mean the No Speedlimit ones or the 130km/h ones ? because on the 130km/h ones there is Speed Control. Only you barely see it if you are not going too fast. The other thing: Drive as fast as you want ??? yeah maybe in theory. In reality you barely get past 200km/h due to other people being in you way.

I have driven in germany during nights and its max speed without much obstruction. As for speed controls, I dont know. I havent encountered any kind of speed control on 130 km/h highways, and germans just drive 170/180 on these without caring much. So I assumed there are basically no speed controls on these highways.

right. in almost every contry in the world Top speed means nothing. Including Germany, because of traffic u cant utilize the capabilitys of a supercar even if you are in theory allowed to. What matters though is practicallity while having good looks. And of course fast acceleration. Which Muscle cars all have.

If my country's legislation would allow it, I would buy for example an Opel Manta B, buy an LS3 engine, supercharge it, put it in, throw the original 2 liter engine out the window, hire some experts to build a custom drivetrain and suspension for the little Manta B:) Throw the interior trim out, build a rally-car like dash for the car, get some Sparco seats, a rollcage, a widebody, wider tires, functional aero, and rape most high-end sports cars.

you guys are forgetting one small detail. Lamborgini is currently owed by volkswagen, a german manufacturer. And in germany there are many highways that have NO speed limit. Furthermore there are highways where you can drive 130 k/m. On these highways there is virtually no speedcontrol at all. Which means people are also driving as fast as they want. So for the german customers a lambo is not just for the looks. They can legally drive it on public highways at max speed.
Btw i drove a lot on german highways, and its quite cool when you can legally drive as fast as you car goes.

First off: concerning the speed control: do you mean the No Speedlimit ones or the 130km/h ones ? because on the 130km/h ones there is Speed Control. Only you barely see it if you are not going too fast. The other thing: Drive as fast as you want ??? yeah maybe in theory. In reality you barely get past 200km/h due to other people being in you way.

Ram Skirata I understand what you mean. But, if you want to drive fast, you can chose to drive late in the evening/during the night. I have driven in germany during nights and its max speed without much obstruction. As for speed controls, I dont know. I havent encountered any kind of speed control on 130 km/h highways, and germans just drive 170/180 on these without caring much. So I assumed there are basically no speed controls on these highways.
ok in the evening and at night you are right. But its still very dangerous once you get past 200. Simply because: it doesnt always have to be you fault. COncerning the speed copntrol: There is. ist basically invisible with speed traps well hidden.

Everyone seems to forget that these guys are hot rodders and drag racers. In the grand scheme of things, 700bhp really doesn't cut it. That's the sort of power they were getting out of their 'Draguar' and that's just a cruiser.

Granted the Aventador IS a work of art that only 1% of the population can own and just experience the drive. The rat rod is its own personal expression of art anyone from a 16 yr old kid to a 80 year old man with average automotive skills can attempt to build and experience..and I bet a whole lot more fun to.
20,000+ posers have seen this video so far. Wow. I'd just take a Tesla and keep a few hundred grand for whatever else I want. I'd pick the Rat Rod over the Lambo personally, but I wouldn't drive it without dropping a few bucks on a decent cooling system and a few other creature comforts.

also, he is a muscle car type guy. He doesn't care about technology, he cares about a car that has a personality and one that he has built or can relate to.

right. in almost every contry in the world Top speed means nothing. Including Germany, because of traffic u cant utilize the capabilitys of a supercar even if you are in theory allowed to. What matters though is practicallity while having good looks. And of course fast acceleration. Which Muscle cars all have.

If my country's legislation would allow it, I would buy for example an Opel Manta B, buy an LS3 engine, supercharge it, put it in, throw the original 2 liter engine out the window, hire some experts to build a custom drivetrain and suspension for the little Manta B:) Throw the interior trim out, build a rally-car like dash for the car, get some Sparco seats, a rollcage, a widebody, wider tires, functional aero, and rape most high-end sports cars.
