I have a tip regarding the Portugal focus (restore the Iberian union) to make this even more effective: - Don't start the focus early on - Declare war on Portugal the traditional way when you can (world tension over 50%) - Puppet them after your victory - Choose the focus (restore the Iberian union) now - Since they are your Puppet they will accept the Union and you get Portugal as core territory

Hey man I just had this achievement but with slight different strategy. After landing to UK, I rushed the VP's and cut the british army into two but stopped in front of London and let the underequipped British army bash against my army. They suffered massive casualties and therefore I had like %33-34 warscore by the time I decided to end the war. In the peace deal I took all the coastal provinces of France + provinces which borders Germany and therefore preventing the AI from taking whats left in between. After that I took out Vichy France 1 vs 1 and got the achievement. It all ended in May 1940.

An idea for coastal encirclements; the ai quite often will try to escape pockets by sea, I let them and set up localised and temporary early submarine 'bathtub' spam to catch the troops out, saves good combat equipment (hurts supply even if they don't attempt to relocate also)
When you start the civil war (anarchist split from republicans, or Carlists from Fangalists) all volunteers you’ve accepted get booted, for some reason.

I hate spanish civil wars rng when you play as off-shoot factions that have rng to their spawning like Falangists and Carlists. Anarchists are fine since they always spawn to coast to specific place. I had so many games fail because half my army was encircled upon spawning in.

The Italians get Victor as their king due to the “Assassinate Mussolini” focus, when Paradox designed that, they made it simple for themselves and just made Victor the default for Non-Aligned Italy. While the German Non-Aligned leaders are all event spawned, (most likely due to their rather insane buffs, while with Victor, you get his stuff regardless)
A way to prevent war with the axis is to rush down to retake the spanish netherlands and then attack france from there giving you war score, occupation and casualties.
Pro tip- to get the Munich disagreement u just want to spam fighters and some transport planes, research paratroopers first and then drop them in Munich when they declare war (also build up ur forts)
Wtf....I did my best civil war win as Carlistas by Dec 37. Took Portugal and finished the focus tree as you suggested. Declared war on France to help Germany. Had my Army of 24 shock divisions ready to invade UK....and nothin until August 41. Could not get naval supremacy until then so sent an Army in late 39 to help Italy secure Suez and down to Ethiopia, even managing to get up to 14% war score. But invasion of UK was so late could not capitulate them (surrender limit was down to 25%) and USA joined Allies after Japan attacked Philippines. Thus UK troops got worn down and beaten back. So frustrating thanks to RNG. Dammit.
You don't need to assign troops to a naval invasion order for it to start preparing. In fact, you can prepare more naval invasions than you can assign units to. You could have 1,000 naval invasion orders all prepared at once if you wanted. I use that all of the time.
for the useless desert puppets I like sending them a few hundred spare airplanes. sometimes they end up giving air sup in some forgotten corner of the war.
I tried this on non historical, Mexico declared war on everyone in Central America and also the United States, the United States joined the allies, I managed to take Gibraltar after invading facist Britain and getting a peace deal. It’s currently 1950 and I have to cross the Atlantic to peace out America
Im watching because im my game im Portugal with 2 tank divisions of 180 light tanks and 1 battalion of heavy tanks each. All divisions both armor and infantry have a battalion of anti air. I have tier 2 strat bombers, heavy fighters and fighters so i can gain complete airsuperiority. My navy has dozens of t2 submarines with about 6 destroyers and a heavy cruiser or two. Wish me luck
you should of started the justification on vichy france right before you finished off the allies, when you are at war with a major all justifications take significantly less time
beaten the Republicain in Marsh 24 1937 lol. Anarchist never got the chance to popup. Crushed Nationalist December 17th 1937. Your guide was great and got luckier than you without getting Leon.
I’ll have to recheck and old save but I think I had a different idea than you that got this done before 1939. It’s much more micro/cheese intensive. 1) before the carlist uncoring of the economy, make sure to build a spy agency and start preparing collab governments in France (maybe you can get 2 before you finish civil war) 2) this may have been patched in 1.10 but there was a way as Nationalist/Carlist Spain to finish the civil war before any of the anarchist/carlist uprisings, this allowed you to build an economy earlier, and continue the collab government stuff (very micro intensive, I think it’s based off a guide you may have done for Carlist Spain victory by 1937 3) manually justify on Portugal, set up puppet, then take the Iberian Union focus, otherwise 9/10 times Portugal will reject the Union 4) rush the justification on France (in 1938), naval invade in Calais/along the channel, and hope your horse units can quickly grab Paris while your undersupplied units holding the Andes just hold out long enough I may have done this on unhistorical and reloaded a bunch to make sure UK went communist or fascist and unguaranteed France

I still had to do the encircle London and wait the British to deploy divisions there, kill them and repeat a bunch of times to get my war participation and actually get France in the peace deal. Later, when I declared on Germany, it was really hard to push into the Benelux until my industry catched up and I was able to put some medium tanks in the field.
It feels a bit overkill for Spain to conquer the UK, Benelux, Northern Italy and most of Germany just to get France, but I guess that is the only way to keep it without constant war.
Trying this now...it took me 3 more months to conquer England bc I didnt encircle London enough and they made a hell of a line. Now its 1942 June and Soviets are about to fall. My divisions blow because i've been stockpiling to annex UK. Im about to get UK...praying my green divisions can hold the line while my elites blitzkrieg Italy. This is one of the most fun games I've had in terms of a challenge but the civil war is SO SO SO tedious. I beat each at/before the date in this video but you have to micro every single unit individually... After UK fell Germany instantly declared on Soviets and has been raping them since 1940. The one thing I wanted to try but didn't was taking out the USA after puppeting Canada. I would be ok waiting to attack until after soviets fell if I had USA manpower and factories behind me, but I feel like this is going to be one of the few achievements I lose after going so deep into it. I think Switzerland might also be good to take for the sake of bleeding German lines in the mountains for this strategy and allowing even swifter conquest of Italy.

idk I just used the Army of Africa to make a breakthrough state by state after removing debuff unplaned offensive and you'll never get encircled
