Scotty Kilmer Hope your day is going good. I wanted to ask if its fine to drive a 3.0 v6 with one of the sparkplug not working. Technically its not misfire. Its the whole time. Loss of power. Head gasket is good no smoke coming out. Is it fine to drive my car with 5 cylinders working and not one? Also could it be a lose wire or distributer?
All that unburned gas could wash the oil off your rings and get into your crank case. A master mech once told me that after getting a low compression reading... said the oil from misfire washed the seal off the rings.
I love you. Seriously I do. You *actually* tell people what to do and how to fix things (also what not to waste your time on). As a single mother on one (LIMITED) income and "intermediate" knowledge of auto mechanics...you help me tremendously!! THANK YOU!!!!
Hello Scotty, last weekend i had a warning ( check engine ) . I checked my engine with the ODBII and had a code P0300. I replaced all 4 sparkplugs and now my engine works great and have no warning signs. I did another check with my ODBII and have no faultcodes. With the help of your video i saved a lot of money and my engine ofcourse. I made also a testdrive and everything is smooth...So Scotty thank you for your great tutorials. Gr.Marc from Belgium.
Hey Scotty, I just used the switching the coil method for my Mercedes C300. It worked perfectly because the problem did move to the other cylinder. Thank you for the knowledge you pass along.
Scotty I love your videos. I wish I could find a mechanic even close to you. My mom has been robbed by the stealership for fixes that cost half the cars so I appreciate you giving me the knowledge to try and help my family out on a very limited income.
Learned so much more than just the spark plugs and ignition. Now I know when the engine is worn out and should just be replaced or trashed and shouldn’t put all that effort into an engine rebuild. Thank you Scotty!
Thank you Scotty. Ive been working on my Mother In-Laws car today, a 2011 Chevrolet HHR. You just help me figure out what's wrong. I watch your channel religiously!!!
If the Audi was pre-2009, it's most likely carbon build up. The FSI engine is the most carbon build up prone engine ever. It was VW/Audi's first turbo 4 with DI. The engine wouldn't be wearing out, those are solid engines. But as you said, it did lose quite a bit of compression.
I fixed this problem on my 2003 A4 last night it was fuel injectors. I changed out all 4 and the problem went away instantly. I had already tried the plugs, coils, and was about to do the PRV and PCV valves. I think oil leaking out of the dipstick tube got into the injector wells and over time seeped into the injector housing of cylinders 2 and 3. Watching Spectre in the theatre made me rush to get this job done so I can go driving at high speeds again. Thank you Daniel Craig!
Hi Scotty. This video helps me a lot, I mean, after all research on RUclips and internet, I came to conclusion that my Nissan Pathfinder 1999 with more then 212 k miles on it, actually getting to the end. The last step left for me to check is compression test. I did almost everything to fix missfire on cylinder nomber 3 with code PO303 and also PO300 as wll which is one of the worst codes one can get. ? Spent good amount of money to replace O2 sensor, EGR valve, spark plugs, wires, brand new fuel enjector for no, 3 ., also I replaced both valve cover gaskets which is pain in a butt expecially driver side undr the plenum. . I've had some confidens in myself and I beleived if I do all that I may fix it, . After all that I did test the car and nothing has changed. The car still shaking when on stop and cant drive up hill more then 35- 40 mph. So I will do compression test and if it's too low, I will sell to junk yard.
Thank you for this video I swapped the bad coil number 3 and swapped it to number 1 cylinder drove it for a while and it gave me p0301 which was cylinder 1 swapped the coil and misfire code was gone thank again for the advice
Guess them Piston Rings are Shot. Changed my oil and transmission fluid & Trans Rear main seal on my Firebird on Sunday and listened to your Sat Live show while doing it, sure is a pleasure to have you under the car with me Scotty :) Modovates me to get the job done
Oldie but goodie! Just had this problem on my 2003 Nissan Sentra 1.8L. P0301 even after I did this time proven Scotty Method. I guess I'm running it till the wheels fall out. Thanks Scotty!
I got a 2001 pathfinder for free because of the p301 code it turned out to be a $150 fuel injector. Its got 255K on it now and it runs like a champ. I've always had good luck with chevy pickups and ford pick ups,a always run them to 300K no problems but now I see that japanese cars can run to 300k even when you abuse them and don't take care of them. In Iraq our unit had these beater land cruisers we used to drive around to the gym or dining facility, never changed the oil on them, I bet they haven't been maintained for years in that 130 degree heat but they ran decent unlike the 2011 ford f150 that blew its engine our last night in country. My LT had us leave it in a field with the keys in it.
I really like your videos. I bet you'd be fun to drink a few beers with lol. I rarely need any advice with auto repair, though I have learned a few tricks from you that I just never had thought about before. I just like to watch your videos. Keep up the good work!
Good tips Scotty but you missed a few possible causes. I pulled a spark plug from a friend's car that was getting the P0301 code and the spark plug looked good. 1. It could be a bad ignition coil as you said. 2. It could be a bad fuel injector or bad electrical connection to the injector. 3. It could be a bad intake manifold gasket. 4. It could be a bad spark plug wire. I worked on other issues (P0410 code & trunk lock) on his car and haven't got around to this problem yet.
I checked for everything as far as coils. Didn't check plugs, but saw a pebble in the cylinder. i sprayed the heck out of that cylinder with compressed air. The amount of debris was unbelievable. The misfire is gone.
I searched misfire on your channel and it seems you do a new one of these every year lol. Which is helpful, since I plan to look at a 2000 Crown Victoria with 240k miles tomorrow that misfires but only when it's warm and accelerating. Not sure on the code yet, but thanks for these videos!
Can help a little but is far more efficient to clean it manually, specially the back of the valves (is not that expensive). Extreme cases need a total rebuild to clean everything and that is VERY expensive.
Got an exquisite 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8L Turd, P0301 and Pending P0300. Swapped ECU, Coil Packs, new injectors, PVC valve, New Variable Cam Timing Solenoid, new MAF. Found I have a clogged exhaust (seperated manifold from engine block) Idles now but still P0301. Piston head wet with fuel, spark plug unfowled.
Scotty i'm an audi and VW technician and that compression shows the valves has a lot of carbon build up on the valves specially on cylinder number 1. It's and easy fix. Remove intake manifold and do a carbon clean. The engine sounds fine.
There seems to be a lot of unnecessary Audi bashing here. These cars are complex and require diligent maintenance. There were obvious signs of neglect in this car: the "Service!" warning was on and spark plugs were filthy. Since the first owner would have had their service done under warranty at the dealership, I wonder if the second or third owner actually did proper maintenance. A competent mechanic would have alerted them to the "gunk" on the spark plugs had they been replaced every 3 years according to the manufacturer. More importantly, how frequently was the oil & filter changed and/or topped up? P.S. The the engine has 152k miles...hopefully the timing belt was already changed!
vismortis yes Audi's use timing belts. they're a pain in the ass to get to b/c you have to dismantle the entire front end of the car. it's one of the worst designs ever. so if you're ever doing a timing belt service on an Audi, replace any and all wear & tear items in there. bc if it's not bad at that time it will go bad eventually and then you'll have to take everything apart all over again.
Thanks once again Scotty, got an Audi A3 that misfiring and wasn't best looked after. Was going to do some ither work on it but after watching this will just keep changing out the sparks until its done
hey scotty when ever i drive my brothers car and come to a complete stop the car vibrates and the rpm go up and down slightly the car is a 2007 mazda 3 2.0
Hi Scotty, You see on a lot of these Consumer Reports most reliable car brands that Subaru is on the list. Do you find this to be the case? Or is subaru still having oil burning, coolant and headgasket issues?
The video was useful and you have a wonderful and funny style, thank you 👏🏻. I have a question - can the type of oil in the engine be the reason for spoiling the engine?
No,only on diesel fuel system. "catch can" are for gas engines only. They work if well designed but there are not from factory on cars. That's why i think it caused wear on this engine.
I believe the trouble is that the gas is injected directly into the combustion chamber, thus making the intake valves and the piston in the compression cycle work only with air around them. Though it may look rough, gas for a part plays the role of coolant and lubricant in an engine. That's why you got to choose wisely your gas and not just take the cheapest, for your valve's sake
Ok. i agree, same problems on diesel engines : the intake valves are full of blowby /egr deposits. but here the loss of compression is not only caused by leaking valves no ? cylinders/pistons wear ? too much heat ? What wore out ?
michaelovitch piston rings ? because of compressing air without fuel ? diesel fuel is greasy and may be sticking to the cylinder walls, but not gasoline ?
My friend had a similar problem with his 99 civic. Did a full tune up still misfired. Come to find out the fuel injector for that cylinder wasn't firing. The plug looked fouled up, which later was determined from running too rich due to bad injector
Wow this really helps with my understanding of my code! I’ve been trying to fix this for a while ! Sadly it still doesn’t drive ! My car for some reason threw that code , then it stopped accelerating while in D ,3 , 2, 1 . It goes in reverse perfectly good though 😅
Idk why I'm watching this like ima pop the hood np. I don't know wtf im doing here?!. Lol I guess my car just likes to dance why would I stop that ..keep pushing!!!
My problem is I tend to over-analyze the problem. I kept thinking it was the coil or the wires leading to the coil, because the wires harness plugs were so deteriorated. I had to re-pin them, but that didn't solve it. Guess what it was? The spark plug gap on cylinder 1 was .004" from some numb-nuts dropping it on the ground. Of course there was a misfire, there was no gap. Check your spark plugs! Much appreciated video Scotty!
Like Scotty said, changing the old is a good thing. Also, the older German engines were better quality and made to last. my mercedes 190E 2.6 has 215,000 miles and runs like a champ, and I can pull a plug and it'll be so shiny you'll see your reflection lol
Well it all depends if the person took care of the car properly or not, Sometimes people who guy those Luxury German cars or Luxury cars in genral forget that regular maintenance greatly improves your car's life span.
HyralProductions I bet that you are not driving a post 2000 german car. If you would, your 318i would have shat itself a long time ago. Modern cars are disposable. You buy it. Drive it until the warranty expires and sell it to next poor soul. Even though materials are stronger and more wear resistant then ever, the engineering is intentionally flawed or better said geared towards costs and efficiency rather then longevity. Nothing would outlast a 70's merc engine. Just look at the very appraised BMW 2 litre diesel, fitted to most of their cars since 07. They moved the timing chain towards the back of the block and it fails quite often.
Tyrone Ross except alot of cars in the late 60s, 70s, and early 80s were crap. Also with new cars now, not all of them are throw aways, it depends if someone's willing enough to keep the car after 5 years or not.
I had a '96 Mercedes C200 that had 228,000 miles on it before it finally died from ECU failure. Up to the point it conked out it drove like a car with less then half the miles on the clock.

Scotty Kilmer Scotty have a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro turbo 1.8 L and I have already replaced the housing for the ignition coil connectors. I am not sure if the ignition coils are damaged but when I replaced all the pins and the housing all the wires were either damaged or broken. Soon I will need new wires for the system to work properly but like you said I will start with the spark plugs first. It is running real rough and got this when I went to my local auto zone: P0300 random/multiple misfire detected P0302 Cyl 2 misfire detected P0171 fuel system too lean cyl bank 1 P0011 ?A? Camshaft position timing over-advanced bank 1 P0301 cyl misfire detected The first connector had all wires broken and I spliced them together but seems like it didn't work, what is best to do?
I had this issue in my mustang. Happened after I bought new "performance" coil packs and Bosch spark plugs. Had 3 of the 8 cylinders with this code. Went back to the stock coil packs and autolite spark plugs and never had this problem since.
Woah that Audi sounds like shit. They're not the most reliable cars but this one was flat out poorly maintained. It boggles my mind how people can be so clueless about cars, I bet the owner just wanted a fancy badge but didn't want to maintain the car. There's a big difference between being able to buy a car and being able to maintain it.
You get crap if don't care about your car...If you do a proper service once a year and oil change at every 8000 or at least 10000 km, any car will run fine for a longer period. In my mind the only problem with these german cars is the owners.
Can you please talk about DEFECTIVE VCM/ECO in Honda vehicles and the suggestion that we muzzle them? Thank you for sharing your mechanical knowledge with us.
The only time I would by German was when I was stationed there because every other type, especially 4x4s and pick ups were impossible to find parts for.
Audis are crap garbage chords I buy and sell cars and every time I come across the Audi they got engine problems so you mean to tell me that every single person that I came across who owns a busted Audi was the owner responsible
Yes Old school America Mechanic .. but a good one!... like me he might be frustrated with those silly specialty fastners that hold all the parts together ..but my engine is solid .. love German .. Hate Fastners
Scotty, you often point out German cars are too fancy for their own good. I wonder what do you think about Japanese turbo charged engines like those on Mazdaspeed and WRX, or even Evos.
Best car videos around RUclips, but you gotta love the cat in the back behind Scotty's left shoulder at 3:06 scratching the window profusely🤣🤣🤣 cracked me up.!!!
Yup its my coil. I thought it was the spark plug but my initial code was po304. Switched it to 3rd cylinder and now it's p303. Good video and now to wait for the part to arrive. Way overpriced on autozone.
What other issues might cause a misfire on Cylinder #1. My son has a 1997 Kia Sportage and we've replaced all the coils, plugs and wire and no matter what we do, after a short drive it comes back with the check engine light and P0301 on C1. Compression test on the engine came it right on spec. Also replaced all the fuel injectors.
Hey Scotty, I have a P0301 in my 2006 Chrysler Town and Country 3.8 liter V6. I replaced the coil pack, wires and spark plugs. Still gets the misfire. I held a big screwdriver against the fuel injector and I can hear the tick so it should be working... Any other thoughts on this?
I have a Japanese car. Nothing too fancy, but the powertrain is guaranteed for 10 years, or 200,000km. Not too shabby for a 4 cylinder if you ask me. And I have an Australian built car where the engine has done nearly 320,000km and the engine is fine (actually, it's an American built Buick engine) except for a misfire that is either a bad crank position sensor, a bad coil pack, or PCM, but I don't have the space to work on it so I'm selling to to someone with the knowledge and the space to do it. Anyway, my point is, the engine has done that many km and apart for some minor problems is running BRILLIANTLY, but the trimmings on the interior are all falling apart...so my point is an engine is only as good as the car it drives!
Scotty thanks for this information , yesterday while driving on highway my light was going on and off . My truck started to sputter at times had it checked it was number one starter coil in my nissan frontier 2.4 engine ! sould I replace all plugs when changing this one coil because in order to get to number 2-3-4 plugs I must take the whole top of the plastic hoses and things off , lots of little things and what does a mechanic normally charge to do this ?
Hey Scotty, i have a 2002 honda civic ex ,manual transmission. I developed misfire on all 4 cylinders.i change sparks plugs, coil packs and fuel strainer in the tank but the problem still persists..im not sure what else to do.
Hey Scotty love ur videos I have 5 codes coming up for po 300,301,302,303,304. I know they r for sparks plugs and wires. I replace them all and I’m still getting that codes. My check engine light is blinking on and off when I’m driving what else can it be. I drive a 2005 Honda Civic ex can u tell me what ur could be and how much would it cost me to get it fixed thanks.
haha, @ 3:06 the cat is wanting out! look over Scotty's right shoulder...awsome videos btw... I watch them all the time!! what year/model is that Audi?
If someone wants to buy an Audi like this one I suggest the 2008 model which was the last year sold here in the US. It includes many revisions to significantly improve reliability. The only issue I ever had was needing to replace a purge valve at 80,000 miles. The part was $15 on eBay (and it was brand new OE) and I changed it myself in 15 minutes. Excellent car otherwise (massively more reliable and ultimately cheaper to own than my Pontiac G6!) They'll do 175k easily if you take proper care of them (change the timing belt!).
I had code p0442 on fixed it , then check engine light started flashing & code p0300 appear yay 😀 , so I double checked all the hoses and now check engine light stays on , & code p0301 came on yay ☺️ , now I’m here with Scotty 😂 trying to figure things out 🧐
There is one more cause of this code, not mentioned in this video. Dirty intake manifold or not well functioning flaps, if your car has them. I have a Duratec engine and did find this code. I did all that Scotty told, but did not fix the issue, and i put a new head and valves, and tested the piston and all is good. What make me suspicious is the fact that the car runs well at elevated RPM but at idle works on 3 cylinders, 1 is misfiring. So did open the manifold and was a disaster of oil due to the pcv valve and probably the previous owner didn't not like changing oil or used a cheap one.
I had the same code and cylinder on my VW GTI VR6. Confirmed this on the Ross Tech Vag Com software (has paid for itself the first time I used it). It has only one coil pack so I could not swap the coils, but changed the spark plugs and wires (97K miles). It did not solve the problem. Thought it was probably fuel related and put in 3 bottles of Techron fuel injector cleaner in the tank. I noticed that the misfires dropped (Vag Com) and reset the CEL. I must of got some bad gas. Changing the fuel filter soon. In the future I will probably have the injectors sent out and cleaned. If you own a VW or Audi and work on your car, this Ross Tech software will pay for itself quickly and has most of the dealer functions.
What a great design compared to my Outback :) Pity about the engine design but I guess if you change the oil regularly and run synthetic these little cars are quite nice. Of course no one does and most 2.0t for $5k on craigslist are junk.
hey Scotty long time fan! first time comment. just bought a 2006 passat 2.0T with all kind of misfire codes. I will be replacing plugs tomorrow. my question is how many miles did that Audi have on it? I have 188k miles and am wondering about how long (estimated) the lifespan is typically on these motors.

I hate that P0301 code....with a passion...
Why?

Always loved your videos, very short and very explicit. By the way, you forgot to walk the dog 3:05
I searched misfire on your channel and it seems you do a new one of these every year lol. Which is helpful, since I plan to look at a 2000 Crown Victoria with 240k miles tomorrow that misfires but only when it's warm and accelerating. Not sure on the code yet, but thanks for these videos!
It could also be the head couldnt it? Like maybe the valve stem seals leaking?
scotty kilmer is the best.... about to fix my tahoe 96 cylinder 6 misfire thanks to all of kilmers misfire videos
Carbon buildup on the intake valves due to direct fuel injection may be the problem on this one...
supposed to be...a carbon on valves and within the intake manifold.
Common problem with fsi engines especially if they are used in town
do you think having the dealer do a chemical decarb or using bg44k can help?
Can help a little but is far more efficient to clean it manually, specially the back of the valves (is not that expensive). Extreme cases need a total rebuild to clean everything and that is VERY expensive.
Perhaps some sea foam could help a little
Got an exquisite 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8L Turd, P0301 and Pending P0300.
How old's the Audi? It looks so new from what I see. Shame the engine is bad.
The b6 chassis (I know it's one because it's what I drive right now) lasted from 2002-06
If it is the turbo then you can bank on it being driven hard and fast....imo.
Scotty i'm an audi and VW technician and that compression shows the valves has a lot of carbon build up on the valves specially on cylinder number 1. It's and easy fix. Remove intake manifold and do a carbon clean. The engine sounds fine.

U aint lying lol

Looooooooooool
B6 s4 here
Thank you for your video it saved me thousands! Your tricks worked like a charm.
I agree my audi diesel has 234k!
yeah bmw's have tons of problems with the chains
vismortis
yes Audi's use timing belts. they're a pain in the ass to get to b/c you have to dismantle the entire front end of the car. it's one of the worst designs ever. so if you're ever doing a timing belt service on an Audi, replace any and all wear & tear items in there. bc if it's not bad at that time it will go bad eventually and then you'll have to take everything apart all over again.
Thanks once again Scotty, got an Audi A3 that misfiring and wasn't best looked after. Was going to do some ither work on it but after watching this will just keep changing out the sparks until its done
hey scotty when ever i drive my brothers car and come to a complete stop the car vibrates and the rpm go up and down slightly
the car is a 2007 mazda 3 2.0
+Kevin Yaretz do my video "finding engine vacuum leaks with a cigar" and also "how to fix a car that idles poorlY"
Hi Scotty,
You see on a lot of these Consumer Reports most reliable car brands that Subaru is on the list.
Do you find this to be the case? Or is subaru still having oil burning, coolant and headgasket issues?
I have an '01 Subaru Legacy and the engine has been fantastic. Owned it 10 years now
Glycerin fluid film it or krown spray it so it doesnt rust out
The video was useful and you have a wonderful and funny style, thank you 👏🏻. I have a question - can the type of oil in the engine be the reason for spoiling the engine?
Is it the direct injection the problem causing wear because the intake ports are clogged with EGR/blowby crap ?
before the gas goes to the intake, there is a Oil/water separator, right? I am not sure if catch can works, I think it is a scam
What wore out ?
michaelovitch
piston rings ? because of compressing air without fuel ? diesel fuel is greasy and may be sticking to the cylinder walls, but not gasoline ?
My friend had a similar problem with his 99 civic. Did a full tune up still misfired. Come to find out the fuel injector for that cylinder wasn't firing. The plug looked fouled up, which later was determined from running too rich due to bad injector
can an oil leak cause misfire?
ive noticed my 03 passat has serious oil leaks....
yes, espeicially head gasket leaks will
Scotty Kilmer Thanks
SCOTTY, when I replace my spark plug, the old one, have brow stuff round the 5/8 lug.
This is by far the best video information I've heard on this subject. Great job
hahaha in the back left window at 3:04.
lol.. but damn that was a hard detail to notice !
Nice cat photo bomb.
i literally came to the comments just to see if anyone else noticed it! lol
Jason Byers lmao
Wow this really helps with my understanding of my code! I’ve been trying to fix this for a while ! Sadly it still doesn’t drive ! My car for some reason threw that code , then it stopped accelerating while in D ,3 , 2, 1 . It goes in reverse perfectly good though 😅
Idk why I'm watching this like ima pop the hood np. I don't know wtf im doing here?!. Lol I guess my car just likes to dance why would I stop that ..keep pushing!!!
sunshine you look fine!
Japanese cars, they last forever.
Uh.... DEFINITELY NOT lmao
Lol
Nissan is my biggest trauma ever!!! Beautiful and fancy, but fragile as hell!
Not really... get a Toyota instead
BMW forever
Glad I found your videos. I'm having so many car issues with this dumb misfire code.
Worn out engine at 150.000 miles.
German myth busted.
Loved the fact he was str8 up about it and got to the point quick 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Scotty you are a wizard! :D

Scotty Kilmer Scotty have a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro
turbo 1.8 L and I have already replaced the housing for the ignition coil connectors. I am not sure if the ignition coils are damaged but when I replaced all the pins and the housing all the wires were either damaged or broken. Soon I will need new wires for the system to work properly but like you said I will start with the spark plugs first. It is running real rough and got this when I went to my local auto zone:
P0300 random/multiple misfire detected
P0302 Cyl 2 misfire detected
P0171 fuel system too lean cyl bank 1
P0011 ?A? Camshaft position timing over-advanced bank 1
P0301 cyl misfire detected
The first connector had all wires broken and I spliced them together but seems like it didn't work, what is best to do?
Juan Higareda I might be a little late but. You might have faulty wires to your computer or bad crank shaft sensor. But it could be a bad timing belt.
Hardly speak out on the interwebs, that being said you bring an awesome edge to diy channels. Keep it up brother!
Lmao. German cars. No wonder ive seen LSx swaps done on BMWs.
There's a big difference between being able to buy a car and being able to maintain it.
love your vids, Scotty. 101st Airborne Infantry Vet here as well, brother! (1-506 Snipers)
Oh look it's an Audi.... not a surprise. You buy expensive stuff, you get crap in return.
My ass
You get crap if don't care about your car...If you do a proper service once a year and oil change at every 8000 or at least 10000 km, any car will run fine for a longer period. In my mind the only problem with these german cars is the owners.
Gabriel Ionescu but sometimes a car really is just crap
austen cody not audi
My audi has 235000 miles. no problems. Japanese cars are bland and american cars are made with poor quality products.
Can you please talk about DEFECTIVE VCM/ECO in Honda vehicles and the suggestion that we muzzle them? Thank you for sharing your mechanical knowledge with us.
Wow. this is another reason i only buy Japanese.
The only time I would by German was when I was stationed there because every other type, especially 4x4s and pick ups were impossible to find parts for.
The Man
The Legend
Scotty Kilmer 🔧
smh... buy a toyota or lexus. engines last forever
My lexus is 250 and just broke down due to this problem ...😂
i had the same code this morning on my Challenger and thankfully it was just a loose fuel injector connector!
That audi is still better quality then your american made cars. The reason the engine is worn out is just because it wasnt maintained good enough.
Audis are crap garbage chords I buy and sell cars and every time I come across the Audi they got engine problems so you mean to tell me that every single person that I came across who owns a busted Audi was the owner responsible
Scotty I like your common sense approach. Favorite car repair channel :0)
Bad maintenance
Gotta love how Scotty has opinions about every car maker and knows their flaws and on top of that subtly criticizes them in his videos.
been working on them 49 years now, so I know a bit about what's good and what's bad, just like santa claus
Have I ever heard Scotty Say something positive about Germans cars, ever? No...
Also replaced all the fuel injectors.
bad computer circuit, blowing head gasket, worn valves, or leaking intake manifold gasket
Would a bad EGR or Fuel Pressure Reg cause the same type issue?
Hey Scotty, I have a P0301 in my 2006 Chrysler Town and Country 3.8 liter V6. I replaced the coil pack, wires and spark plugs. Still gets the misfire. I held a big screwdriver against the fuel injector and I can hear the tick so it should be working... Any other thoughts on this?
You rock Scotty been helping me with alot of issue I've had on 3 different car thx 😊
I have 1,8T 290,000 km running strong no problems, full service history (rebuild turbocharger with cheap ebay kit at 275,000km)
Replaced EGR cleaned housing changed sparks tested coils light is on again..and unplugged to hear different tunes...
You know.
Scotty love your channel. I have KIA Spectra 2001. Should I use spark plugs IKH16 or IKH24?
Scotty thanks for this information , yesterday while driving on highway my light was going on and off . My truck started to sputter at times had it checked it was number one starter coil in my nissan frontier 2.4 engine ! sould I replace all plugs when changing this one coil because in order to get to number 2-3-4 plugs I must take the whole top of the plastic hoses and things off , lots of little things and what does a mechanic normally charge to do this ?
Its so strange Scotty! You usually post a video of something I've recently dealt with on a friends car or my own.
Hey Scotty, i have a 2002 honda civic ex ,manual transmission. I developed misfire on all 4 cylinders.i change sparks plugs, coil packs and fuel strainer in the tank but the problem still persists..im not sure what else to do.
Scotty, you are the man, right to the point.
You make it look so easy💜 but easy also to understand 💜 thank you and subbed
Hey Scotty love ur videos I have 5 codes coming up for po 300,301,302,303,304. I know they r for sparks plugs and wires. I replace them all and I’m still getting that codes. My check engine light is blinking on and off when I’m driving what else can it be. I drive a 2005 Honda Civic ex can u tell me what ur could be and how much would it cost me to get it fixed thanks.
Watched it again, awesome explanation thank you!
haha, @ 3:06 the cat is wanting out! look over Scotty's right shoulder...awsome videos btw...
Your videos are the best man.
Hey Scotty I changed the antifreeze in my 2007 Nissan Murano and got a P0305
140 thousand iles, you car is getting near its lifespan from my experience too
