Ortiz and Pedro standing next to each other is probably the most talent since that old photo of DiMaggio and Mantle on the top step. So blessed to have seen these 2 men play this game with such passion and skill!!!
Jonatan Sanchez man, how I wish I could have been there. I never got to see Pedro pitch in person and will probably wish I had until my last breath. But, I DO remember listening to his starts on WEEI and seeing the photos in the Globe. EVERY home start became an impromptu Dominican Pride Day. AND you KNOW you're a STAR when the broadcasters throw in a little "beisbol Español" just for you. I STILL remember that the Spanish word for "strike - out" is apparently "puchado", as in "That's 10 puchados for Pedro!"
So grateful I got to watch the best pitcher in history! He dominated in a league with performance enhancements (steroids). He was simply the most talented pitcher I've ever seen, and such a gentleman! What an amazing career!!
Yankees fan since 1977. I hate the Red Sox with a passion, But I have the utmost respect for Pedro Martinez. He was absolutely dominant. The way the Yankees beat Pedro was to outlast him, keep the game close and beat his reliever because we couldn’t beat him head to head. He ate my Yankees for lunch every game he threw. Much respect for Pedro.
OH SWEET! He deserved it, there is no way that you could deny that honor to a Man who will always be "The Face of the Red Sox". Pedro Martinez, you will never be forgotten!
i was there for that game my first game at fenway, red sox since i was 5 ,drove 8 hours from toronto to see them retire my favorite pitcher cant wait to go back fenway is a beautiful ball park as well as boston a beautiful city
And never forget, it was Pedro who opened the eyes of the Red Sox Brass about Big Papi after he was cut by the Minnesota Twins!
Yeah like how Mcguire was wanting pujols brought up

Pedro Martinez is a legend in Boston Massachusetts and in the DR. Thank you Pedro for giving us the proud of having you in the HOF.
Pedro Martinez will also be The Face of the Red Sox!

Absolutely the best pitcher ever ...
I can look at Pedro and just can’t help but laugh he was the best
The best pitcher ever
Ever! My hero
19:00. That's me, lol. Watched this man light up Fenway every fifth day, and he deserves the plaque on the facade. We love you Pedro.
Sad that Nomar got injured.
No. 5 would have definitely been retired by now if he had stayed healthy through 2010.
From 96 till 2001 the best ever!
I like how Pedro has two kids named Pedro
The best no one could touch pedro
El más grande de los grandes
Pedro is #1!!!!
Speaking of retirement David Ortiz's #34 should be on top one day
William 4NY/ Sonic The Hedgehog it will be in 2017
Will see
The Sox already said they are retiring 34 next season
pedro el grande
should have stayed in boston after 2004 he could have won another world series in 2007
He wanted to. In one interview he said that he wanted to so badly that he negotiated poorly and got the shaft.
WHO ELSE CAUGHT CURT TELLING PEDRO NO PORN ? 😂 AROUND 11 MINUTES AND 48 SECONDS 😂
I heard it.
😂😂😂😂😂
4:15 this is how 'child support' feels
16:37 is where his retired number is officially revealed in right field. :)
dwight evans looks like he could still play.
now the red sox need to retrire nomars 5
Need to retire Dewey's number as well
Tim Wakefield’s 49 would be well before Nomar, I’d think.
@Jonathan McCully True. I think the real clincher was the 2004 postseason, and Nomar was long gone by that time.
I was in that game
HOLAAAAA!! 😂😂😂😂
Too many retired numbers… should probably only be Ted, Yaz, Pedro, and Papi.
Just listen at 11:45 Curt Schilling: "Hey....No Porn." LOL!
킹드로
So what's the deal with number 21 ? ? ?
I Think You Know The Answer
Pedro didn't even kiss his Mom...!!!
🇩🇴👏🏻
Ortiz is the worst excuse for sportsmanship
You're the worst excuse of a Human Being
Pedro you are the best ever to play game
