For those of us in Red Sox Nation who live outside of the Boston market and couldn’t watch on NESN, thanks for posting.
There are alot of us !!
I was one of them.
Yeah thanks 🙏
The 16 dislikes must be Yankee fans.....hahaha
Amen.
From a yankee fan, RESPECT what a player and man off the field. Legend
same here long time Yankee fan and nothing but respect for Dustin. The guy gave 100% on every play and respected the game and the rules. Enjoy retirement my friend.
@@Killsnapz I want to say the same thing for Derek Jeter. As a Red Sox fan, I respect Jeter. He brought class to baseball and respected the game as well. If there was a HOF double play combo, Jeter & Pedroia would be it.
You know, sometimes you Yankee fans are alright. ⚾👍
red sox stay on top
lol but all do respect, you are absolutley correct
I can't help crying throughout this. Dustin will remain my favorite player of all time. Celebrating from Philadelphia. Red Sox Nation is everywhere!! Love you Dustin
same. my favorite athlete of all time!
Agreed.
I was fortunate to be sitting behind home plate to see his 1st major league home run. I’d flown out from AZ.
I’m from AZ too bro. Been to Fenway multiple times to see the Sox play. Red Sox Nation South West
@@jordangonzalez4008 just moved to AZ from the east coast. Glad to know we got support out here
Were your arms tired?
@@jordangonzalez4008 where you at? Phoenix?
@@jordangonzalez4008 I’m in paradise valley
Red sox fan for 17 years in Taiwan, love and respect sox's heart and soul
No other way to say it: Nomar was why I found baseball, Papi was why I loved baseball, and Pedey made me - a 5’ 7” second baseman - believe I could play baseball. Hell, he was baseball. ❤️
We’re all gonna miss you Dustin. You a big star in the Red Sox dynasty
Back in 2005, I worked for the New Hampshire Fishercats. I was getting prepped by the team entrence when a young guy shorter than me walked up. He asked me "Hey, what's for lunch." I assumed he was the clubbie for the Portland Sea Dogs, so I politely answered his question, and told him when to come pick up the meals. Fast forward to the first inning. I look down at the field and what do I see. I see that the "clubbie" is playing short stop! I had met Dustin Pedroia.
Sweet memory man!
That's awesome, man! What a great memory to have forever.
Someone started cutting onions during Papi’s speech
Man that’s high praise from Big Papi. If he could have one player to play with it would be Dustin. That’s such a nice thing to say.
papi is a high class human being that's for sure
@@mac7133 Agreed. I was at game 4 and 5 in 2004 ALCS, and game 2 of the 2013 ALCS. I won tickets all three times. The only time I've ever won anything at a raffle!
That's because for many of those years the two of them were linked as the faces of the club. I don't know how many times one or the other of them lifted the club when they stared defeat in the face. Papi knows that. You could tell that Ortiz was struggling for the right thing to say at first, but when he started speaking from his heart, he said all the right things, as he all out always did. The most touching part of this whole ceremony.
Now that I’m on my 30’s I understand how big was Dustin for Us all those big moments !! Thanks Dustin
Pd was one of the hardest playing ball players in his days and will be sorely missed!
Still can’t forgive a certain player for the dirty play that pretty much ended his career before his time!
One small consolation, that dirty player was seen screwing himself into the ground, striking out as a Dodger to a Chris Sale pitch to end the '18 World Series.
F Machado
TOTALLY agree.
Why, Pedroia had nothing but good things to say about him. He even sold out his own teammates to praise him.
@@gunz300 That's the player's union talking, in my opinion.
A few years ago I was called by the ballgirls on the field and Dustin signed my jersey it was the best moment of my life that was when he was my favorite player. Thanks PD
**From a Yankees fan** so much respect for you DP15 . Papi nailed it , it’s all about heart !❤️
We love you D.P!!!! Congratulations on retirement and the Red Sox hall of fame….. next stop Cooperstown
What a generous and humble man, thank you Dustin, for being not only a wonderful ball player but an even better human being. Much love and congratulations to you!! ❤🏆🥇🍻🎟⚾️ cheers to an extraordinary career.
Legendary player, will forever be immortalized here
Thank you, RUclips, for showing us former New England members of Red Sox Nation this ceremony. Living in the SF area, it's not easy to get NESN broadcasts here, so being able to watch it here was great.
Fubo TV streams NESN online, at least for the time being. We had RUclips TV until they dumped NESN.
I come from Japan and I started following Red Sox because of Matsuzaka back in 2007, but Pedroia quickly became my most favorite player of all time. He's a living embodiment of dedication and commitment. He'd been my North Star throughout my 20's.
I wish him all the best!
Screw Manny Machado. He’s the reason Pedroia is retiring early. He’s such a nasty player. Thanks for all the memories you made for us Red Sox’s fan and baseball fans in general. If your a fan of the game you know what a guy he was. Happy retirement Champ 🍾 🎊
It is really sad how he played the game the right way and with so much heart just for his career to be ended by a dirty slide by a dirty player. congrats dustin tho
@@maxs9666 )
Even Pedroia said it wasn't dirty, get a better take
It was dirty - Machado ended his career
@@williamkelly8413 Pedroia was obviously taking the high road when he said that. Anyone with eyes and half a brain can see it was blatantly intentional.
I had gone to many Sox games over the years and was there to see their 2007, 2013, and 2018 WS wins. One of my greatest memories was watching Pedroia hit that WS leadoff home run. Gongrats Dustin to a great player, teammate, and man.
I live in Chattanooga tn. I became a Sox fan from the spring training days in winter haven fla where I have family. This guy is the real deal and what all young ball players should aspire to be. Not only on the field but off!…GO SOX!…
One of the greatest second baseman to ever play! Sox legend! Congrats DP15!
Congratulations Dustin. Thank You for what you've done in life. All the way from Michigan, I'm a Red Sox fan 4 ever. Go Red Sox
Man, I was in kindergarten when he was drafted. I grew up watching him, Manny, Papi, Damon and more. Boston has some very big shoes to fill at 2B.
I don't hate Manny, i seriously don't. But man he robbed us of some legendary years of this man. The heart and soul of the 21st century Sox. Thank you, for everything. Im tearing up a bit 😂 even. Man what a legend. Alongside Pedro an Big Papi, my favorite players I had the pleasure of watching in my favorite team. Dustin Is Boston!
fuck manny, after purposely trying to hurt so many other players he does not deserve to put on a baseball uniform
I still hate Manny
I DO hate Manny..the guys a worthless cheapshot POS.
I hate manny
As a Red Sox fan living in Braves country Dustin was always one of my favorite Sox’s. Thank you Dustin for everything you gave to OUR Sox’s. Love you buddy
Awesome player that always gave his all!
As a Yankee fan I can admit he was Great. Broke my heart too many times to count.Terrible Machado cut his career short. Left everything he had on the field. Was an honor to watch you.
Have countless great memories going to Sox games with my dad during pedroias career. Nothing better, thanks Dustin 👍
It has been a blessing to watch Dustin grow our sox nation into what it is today. I'll never stop wearing my #15.....thank you Dustin.
It was a privilege to see you giving it all. Thanks, Pd!!!
Cheap shot from MM , watch the video.
Gracias pequeño gigante eras una muralla en esa 2da y todo el terreno q cubrías, bn merecido capitán
Mariners fan here and man do I have so much respect for this guy. You will be missed Dustin, all around the league!
Gonna miss Dustin as well I missed Jacoby so much glad see him doing well
My second favorite Red Sox of all time, thanks for the memories Dustin
Who's your first? 🙂
Big Papi
David Ortiz's speech was beautiful!
Braves fan, but I respect great players when I see it. Congratulations Pedroia.
From a Cardinals fan, congratulations on your retirement. You were always a class act and played the game the right way.
I never saw his SOX...but dang, I saw what he did for MY SAWX...DP didn't care who was pitching...man I miss his passion. How lucky we are to have witnessed this man do his thing every single at bat. He's going to make a great manager someday. Thanks for everything Mr. Pedroia.
Thank you Dustin ❤️⚾️
I'm not a SOX fan , this retirement ceremony for Dustin was awesome. And yes I watched from afar ( NL southeast) and thought he is one amazing player and #1 person. The RED SOX ORGANIZATION , made a respected guy in Dustin for everything he's done in his career on and off the field. Congratulations to you Dustin. True Hall of Famer.
We love you Pedey!
Thank you for giving us your best.
Total RESPECT and 100% admiration!
Dustin left everything on the field every time he played, he was all heart and hustle. He is sorely missed, thanks Pede for the memories.
Braves fan but Pedroia has always been one of my favorite players. Thank you for everything Dustin.
Thank you DP we'll never forget you
Grew up watching him play and will never forget his legendary moments. One of my all time favorite players and Red Sox legend. THANK YOU DUSTIN
Such a classy guy. Best wishes on your retirement from a lifelong Braves fan!
Man this is incredible. You can truly feel the love. Special.
Love this special, skilled player and outstanding, spirited man. Wishing you all the very Best, Dustin Pedroia!
Dustin was the heart and soul of the Red Sox after Big Papa retired. My favorite Red Sox after Big Papa retired. Loved DP15.
That is the greatest cool thing. Even though I'm a Oakland Athletics fan, he is a great player. That's why baseball is my favorite sport in this country this sport brings so many together. This player and human is a great person.
Loved watching him play. What a gamer, and I'm a Cubs fan.
As a Yankees fan I hope nothing but the best to Dustin enjoy your retirement great player to watch
We love you brother and you will definitely be missed for sure!!!! I’ll never forget the day I went to Yankee Stadium with a bunch of co-workers who happened to be Pinstripe fans.. Forgetting where I was at, I cheered you on and almost got my teeth knocked out 😂😂😂
What a fighter. Congratulations. Respect. From a Yankeee fan.
Thanks so much for uploading this! I sadly don’t have NESN nor live in New England so I couldn’t watch it live. Thanks for the memories, Pedey! Congrats on a fantastic career! Good luck in your future endeavors! ❤️ 👏🏽
Classy organization giving Dustin a proper farewell.
Every player should play like Dustin did. I have the utmost respect for this guy. Amazing baseball player and human being.
Love, from a Reds fan.
I had a lump in my throat and shed a tear, what an amazing player. And this is coming from a blue jays fan. I wish he was still playing.
LASER SHOW PLAYED EVERY GAME LIKE IT WAS HIS LAST THANK YOU BIG TIME
Thank you, Champ! For every single emotion!
Pedroia inspired me to be the best player I could be and get the most out of my 5’8 body. I’m forever grateful for his service to the game
well deserved and thank you DP15 from Toronto, Canada!!!
Fortunate enough to see him play when I was six years old, then again when I was thirteen. He was by far the smallest guy in the field, but no one gave more effort and had a better swing. When I saw him in Baltimore, many fans were in awe of all his defensive plays and how much he was impacting the game. He gave his heart to the team and now he can rest easy and look back on the success he had for many years to come.
Rays fans admired Dustin’s grit and greatness!
He gave everything he had every swing. One of my favorite Sox players ever. Thank you Pedroia ❤️😢
Thks to upload. I saw Dustin and Red Sox playing in June 20th 2014 at Oakland. Great memories in 2007 WS. Greetings from Japan.
Thanks for everything, PD!! ❤️⚾️
Dustin will be loved for generations.
Manny Machado, not so much!
you are tooo kind.
Fuck Manny Machado
I know right manny Machado is stupid an d to nice
@@richiebambara3980 yeah Machado could ead
What's wrong with Manny Machado?
Always loved, never forgotten. Injuries derailed his career at the end but he was a true champion and great clubhouse leader.
My favorite player of all time! Thanks for the memories Lazer Show!
Pedey is the man. It was a pleasure following his career. That pinball play at first in Texas, the three HR game in Colorado, the series setting lead off home run in 2007 and just the attitude he brought to the field everyday. What a great ceremony, now retire his number.
Man I remember watching him in Portland for the Sea Dogs almost two decades ago now. Didn't disappoint there, and sure as hell didn't in Fenway. Red Sox legend.
great baseball player, represented himself and his team with class, tipping my Yankee cap with respect.
It shows you what type of an outstanding human being he is, Dustin does not stand and wait for anybody to come and hugged him, Dustin walk toward that person he so much touch in their or his life. Let’s face it, Dustin is truly special. 👏
I'm a die hard Yankees fan (still recovering from being 0-6 right now), I hate the Red Sox with a passion, but tip my hat with the utmost respect to Dustin Pedroia. You guys had a great one, who played the game the right way and was a role model to so many. You were lucky to have him and he was lucky to play for you. Respect
When he first came up I hated him I thought he was a punk then after watching him. How he was a tough player and how he played his ass off he became my favorite wish a lot of players were like him.
Thanks for all the memories!
As a Yankee fan, much respect DP. You are sports. You are heart. “You teach the big guy, that it’s not about size.”
Not a Red Sox fan in the slightest, but Dustin was so much fun to watch. Day in and day out. One of those guys that you knew was gonna do something special when it really matter. HOF'er for sure. Congrats Dustin on a great career.
Thank you Dustin, for being my favorite player of all time and I will never forgive Manny for ruining you going out on your own terms, thank you so much
This man made me love the game of baseball and was who I tried to mimic when I played. This was so awesome to watch.

I'm a New Yorker but I still appreciate Dustin's hard play!
WE LOVE YOU DUSTIN YOU ARE FOREVER A BOSTON IMMORTAL LEGEND THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My dad died June 25th 2007 same date in June they honored Dustin. Used to watch all the games together I remember telling him about Pedroia when he was starting out that even though he's small he is a top prospect and plays hard. It's sucks because my Dad would have loved watching Pedroia over the years. So 2007 was an emotional year and Pedroia and the Red Sox made it alot more bearable for me.
Great video! Nice to see all the tributes. Nice to see Jacoby back in a Red Sox jersey too!
A guy career that ended from an unfortunate injury I am a Boston Red Sox fan and Dustin was my favorite player and what drew me in what was his ability just to be really good as a baseball player I am big time red Sox fan. Boston strong lets keep winning
Thanks Broski for such amazing years and memories. Definitely one of my favorite players!
Dustin Pedroia will be in the baseball hall of fame. 😀👍⚾️
As much as I like Pedroia I don't think he will make the baseball of of fame. He is in the Red Sox fame with others like Dwight Evans, Rich Gedman, MIke Greenwell, Normar Garciapara, Mo Vaughn, Fred Lynn etc. who were very good but did not have the numbers to make the Hall Of Fame.
@@willisapril Totally agree with you, though Dwight Evans should definitely be in the HOF
THANKS DUSTIN
Thanks Dustin! The ultimate dirt dog! One of the greatest of all time! It's all well deserved. Congrats!
Canada.My wife's favorite player,brought her to tears.
Baseball,the greatest show on dirt.
Excelente jugador el dejaba todo en el terreno . Congratulations ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️
The best for me, he drive to become a red sox fan when young… my dream came true when i watch him play during 2017 in the longest game at the unique fenway park
love you dustin, ive been sox since i was born, and you were always my favorite player. (somebody cleat machado)
You are the pride of Boston and the treasure of MLB. Thank you for your hard work. It ’s a great honor to see two world champions.
I'm a Red Sox fan in the Midwest, and I got to see Dustin Pedroia play on two consecutive days in July of 2016. It was my first time ever at Fenway.
The first game was against the Giants; Pedroia didn't have a hit, but he did draw a walk. More importantly, he made a spectacular catch of a line drive in the fifth inning. The Red Sox started the game with a 8-0 lead, then saw it shrink to 8-7, and the Giants had the tying run on base in the fifth and sixth innings. That leaping catch kept the Sox in the lead, which they held, and they ended up winning 11-7.
The next day, against the Twins, he scored three runs, drove in a run...and went 5-for-5 on the day. As a rule, I root for the team as a whole, not individual players. It's easier that way. But to see Pedroia get five hits in a game was spectacular. I would have been happy if it were any Red Sox player, quite honestly, but it is a little bit of poetic justice that it was him.
I remember when he made a spectacular stop in the field on a Tejada ground ball during the Clay Buchholz no-hitter.
He was never the most athletic guy, but his grit, and determination, and love of the game made him a fan favorite. He made us believe we could be out there, too.
