Could have played in any era.....one of only a few guys that played the game hard all the time. Simply the best!!
He always gave 110% every single game, he will always be a Red Sox legend
He should be in the hall of fame even if he did not put enough good years of his prime with injuries but because he was a dirt dog and inspired so many people
Facts so should Dewey Dwight Evans
He is going to the hall of fame
Manny machado ruined his career
FYI, the tejada play was made to save a no hitter for Buchholz
FYI CANE, that tejeda play, was actually a Pedrola Play. js
@@philmarshall1580 chill out PHIL
@@philmarshall1580 yeah, if only I called it the “pedrioa play” to distinguish it from the rest of a Dustin Pedrioa highlight reel. That wouldn’t be confusing.
Deserves to be in the HOF.
The kind of guy who would eat a plate of dirt just to get the chance to play, as honest a player as there ever was. Shame on Machado for such a cheap play, Ped would be in the HOF.
Would? He will be in the Hall
@@andrewbarone8605he’ll be in the Red Sox hall of fame his numbers aren’t hall of fame worthy and I idolized Pedroia growing up wore number 15 and played second base in high school.
@@angelorengo2565he’s my favorite ever
eat a plate of dirt? that’s a little much no
Pedroia routinely ate a plate of dirt with his face first defensive dives and also while base running
Dustin Pedroia is one of the most important people in my life, and I don't know him. I respect Dustin Pedroia, not only because he plays hard, not because he is a tough s.o.b, but because he is a great person, and he is amazing to watch, but I love him for everything else too. Watching him has been quite the ride. I hope he gets into the hall.
This man was the absolute truth!!! There was nothing he couldn't do on that diamond!!! He was the heart and soul of the Red Sox as soon as he came up to the Big Club. I swear i miss him... I hope he gets in the H.O.F!!! I will never forget this one!!!!
Peedy will be missed man. Damn
thanks Dustin..you are winner part of the core for many years...won 3 world series ...you will be remembered forever.
He won 2 world series, never even played virtually all of 2018.
Laser show!! And was huge for us in that classic 2007 alcs and crucial piece in 2013 world series winner also he should go to hall of fame
Pedroia & Utley were my favorite players & my childhood Thank You DP🙏🏻⚾️
The Smile on Ortiz’s face everytime Pedroia homered is so wholesome.
Those two carried the 2007 and 2013 Championship Teams
Red sox wouldnt of won had mike lowell and josh beckett trade not gone threw.
@@chrishenson1756 this comment is so irrelevant to the conversation that i need you to share whatever you’re smoking
Peedy had that old school, hard nose, love of the game approach. Thanks for the memories! Will never be forgotten!
He was the Sox's best second baseman ever, as far as I'm concerned.
Ya I wasn't alive for Bobby doer lol
Jerry Remy was light-years better.
This dude was Altuve before Altuve. Sucks that injuries derailed his career. I’m from LA, big Dodgers fan. Dusty will forever be in my top 5 favorite players
Sucks that dirty fcuk Machado had to slide into his knee , cheap shot ended his career. Will never forget or forgive that loser.
Same here. Huge dodgers fan and Pedy was my favorite player. I always modeled my game after him.
One of my favorite players of all time... much respect for him and his desire... a throwback to the old fashioned tough ball players of the past
Yes, hard nosed but not dirty,
He was a great player and a big part of the Boston RedSox Championships...loved the way he played the Game. ⭐👍
He's a prime example of a guy that when he got older he didn't fail his body, his body failed him
Nah that scumbag ruined his knee his body was fine before that
Bro, his body didn't fail him. That asshole Manny Machado played dirty and hurt his knee, I think it was. If not for that, you would've seen him leave the game, an old man. Instead, he had to go early. It never got back right!!!
My cousin Pedro Beato got the privilege to play on my favorite team. And he told Big papi of course was the man the leader in the clubhouse but his English was and still is shot lol. But when Pedroia talked in the clubhouse everyone listened
I enjoyed watching him play as much as anyone I ever saw. And I saw Aaron, Rose, Stargell, Bench Clemente, etc. A True Gamer. Pedey never let up. If he suited up, it was 100% every time. I'll miss seeing him play.
Me too.
Have a great Retirement Pede, You deserve it, this is the guy the HOF was made for
@Yeap Yo You're probably right. Definitely Red Sox Hall of Fame, though, and maybe the last to wear 15.
@Yeap Yo well he played 1500 games and had 1850 hits and has a higher career war then Bill Malinowski so he is in
He has the accolades to get into the Hall. His stats are borderline only due to injuries, but I hope he gets in.
@Yeap YoThe Hall of fame wasn’t made to celebrate great players, It was made to remember the most Memorable players.
@Yeap Yo No that was only one moment, PD had so many great moments thru out his Career
Pedroia was a fucking awesome player-one of the best of his time.
I miss all those great moments that The (Great) Dustin Pedroia gave us Boston Red Sox fans. His name should be in the Baseball Hall Of Fame one day.
The sad thing is he might not get in due to his injury. If there wasn’t any injury he’d have a good chance of going to Cooperstown
@@tylerfrancescone8683 he'd be a no doubt hall of famer if not for the injuries. Really sucks because I don't think he'll get in now, but he's still my favorite player and a red sox legend.
Didn’t play long enough. Sad.
@@damagedone115 Yeah....I look at guys like Michael Young and Jimmy Rollins who had similar careers to Peedy & they aren't in and won't get in unless it's a vet committee vote. Dustin only played ten years because of the injuries, which hurts him because his numbers aren't what they could have been. It's a shame because had he stayed healthy, I think he gets in....But, he's in the Red Sox Hall of Fame & I actually think the Sox should retire his jersey number. He really meant SO much to that team, that city and those fans.
Yankee fan here. This is the only Redsox player that I liked. Always hustled and played the game the right way.
As good of a hitter as he was, he was the best defensive second baseman I ever saw. I started watching baseball around 1982. Certainly the best Red Sox second baseman.
I watched this guy come up through the minors and loved watching the laser show in the big leagues. One of my all time favorite players.
I very much dislike the Red Sox but I love Pedroia. He always killed my team but it's so hard not to respect him. I modeled a ton of my game at 2B after him and Howie Kendrick. He's the type of guy I'll tell my kids about watching. I hope he has a happy retirement.
Machado is a smuck for ruining his career
FUCK MACHADO!
I miss this man so much…
Thank you brother for your hard work & Mr Laser show !!! You was cold as hell brother 😎🥶
love this man
Dude loved the game of baseball
look up dirt dog in the dictionary and find this guys picture. thanks for all the great seasons, my all time favorite player
One of the greatest comments of all time....now that's a leader!! #LASERSHOW
He could have played a few more years too. If it wasn’t for that knee of his! Favorite player to watch and looked up too when I played!
What a player...
My favorite baseball player of all time The Lazer Show.
Was awesome watching you play.
I think the video should have sown a bit more of his defence. He had a solid bat, but he really shone with his glove.
I think he won a few Golden Glove awards
The stolen base @ 3:45 and going to 3rd because the shift was on with Big Papi and nobody at the bag. Awareness. That defensive play @ 8:26, shows his head was always in the game. High baseball IQ plus hustle = winner.
That last play was the most chill i have ever seen Carlos Gomez lmao
He had a great career but that 2007 world series was CRAZY
Back when Cleveland tried so hard but still could never win it!😞
HALL OF FAMER
nice
And don't forget, he was the one to introduce the Pedroia Fit for baseball gloves.
Lazer show
Plays so hard he didn’t even fall for the deke by Hank Conger.
You know childhood was good when you can't decide whether Big Papi or Pedroia is the best Red Sox you've seen. Loved Mookie but he wasn't like these guys and he's not a red sox
Also can't imagine what people like Rice, Yaz, Fisk, and Pedro have to think when it comes to the best Red Sox ever
I hope he sign's with Boston Again.
Just another reason to hate manny machado
Came here to watch the Laser Show
Cyborg player
Baseball at its finest. Even saw some tobacco chewing. Game sucks nowadays
3:35-4:04 😭😂
What did the Rockies ever do to THIS man?!
Asked who he was when he was coming into the ballpark during the WS lol “Ask Jeff Francis who I am”
@@Jappy702 yep
Dustin had no business making that play and he did... NO BUSINESS!!!
God I remember when the Sox destroyed the Rockies in 4 games in the world series it looked like the Rockies shouldn't even have been there lol
it’s the goats birthday today
dustin pedroia vs jose altuve?
Pedey and Nomar cut down by injuries to sure HOF careers.
엘에이 보스턴팬 엄청 많네
Fuckin Laser Show!
I beat Dustin’s pedroia sun team
Manny Machachode, the biggest crybaby in baseball, ended his career with a dirty slide
Slide wasn't dirty
@@DH-lm6kh he spiked him and pretty much ended his career
@@LandonChurch15 it wasn't a dirty slide. Just because he got spiked doesn't mean it was dirty/malicious
@@DH-lm6kh its Manny "crybaby" Machado he's an a**Hole
@@LandonChurch15 yeah, he's an asshole, but it wasn't a dirty play
