62 years old and I have seen many players in the MLB.Dustin is by far the hardest worker I have ever seen.Let’s not forget he won the American League MVP in 2008.
He is a legend a red Sox player so Dustin will be always be a Boston red Sox legend players in the future and forever . I know he played with the Boston red Sox team to 2004 Dustin had a good play red Sox baseball team for his 17 years of his baseball career . Go Boston red Sox legend players Dustin !!!
chills...I got chills with this video tribute! Hey Red Sox, can we bring him back as the manager or as a base coach or some part of the coaching staff?? He still means so much to this team and to the city of Boston, he's a part of this loyal fan base that we can't go without! Love you Pedey!!
I got to see him on consecutive days in July 2016. The first game against the Giants saw him go hitless while drawing a walk. But he made a tremendous leaping catch to keep the Red Sox ahead after the Giants had rallied to get from 8-0 to 8-7 in the middle innings. The Red Sox won that game 11-7 at the end. The next day, against the Twins, he went 5-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored. They annihilated the Twins 13-2 that day. Even more special was that although I've been a Red Sox fan for a while, those were my first two times ever at Fenway Park (I live in the Great Lakes region). So, while others played a role, too, Pedroia was always a favorite of mine, as I'm sure he was for many Red Sox fans.
Wow … die hard yankee fan here … but man I freaking loved this guy ….Dusty was one of the reasons I kept playing when they said I was too small … now I played 4 years of college ball and I, proud of it
I know your Mom and Dad are so proud of you Dustin. You are a force beyond just the ball field . You are an incredible man. We all miss watching you and your leadership in the game. Congratulations.
As fan you couldn't help but to appreciate him, the dedication to your craft showed you are a true professional. More importantly, as a man you proved just what a class act you are by doing for others. You are a first ballot hall of famer and a world class human being, standing ovation sir. No doubt you'll be in uniform again as a world series championship manager, hopefully Dodger blue. I know it's not reality, but a man can dream.
6:30… I’m not crying… lol I’ve grown to really appreciate Dave O’Brien and the class act that he is. But damn it, what I’d give to be transported back to a midsummer night at home in Maine with my family listening to Don and Jerry. 😭❤️💯
Growing up I hated Boston but the player I’ve had the most respect for on that team is my man Dustin. I really wish you were still playing my g..However, I hope you enjoy retirement and a happy, healthy life to you and your family.
PEDEY!!!! I got your autograph in person at spring training and it was the best thing EVER!! I’m 14 and I love you Dustin! I wear #15 bc if you and I loved watching you play!! I was you for Halloween and I made a sign that said long lost twins… you signed that poster and made me so happy!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 love you Dustin!
Congratulations Dustin and I’m a Yankees fan but that doesn’t matter because he’s a great player and leader and respectful and kind to other’s enjoy your retirement peddy 💗💗
Thank you so much Pedy I'm gonna miss the laser shows you would put on at Fen Way...truly one of the legends of Boston sports and your giant heart and determination will forever live on in Red Sox lore GO SOX
As a New Yorker and Yankee fan got my ass ripped during the ball season when I went to #berkleecollegeofmusic in Boston . Hated the FN Red Sox guts. 😁 However, I had the opportunity to see Dustin a few times @ Fenway. Priceless! Mad RESPECT for this great ball player. God bless him and his family always. 🇩🇴⚾🇩🇴
Pedroia was one hell of a player. He was a very smart player. Gave 100% all the time. Had deceptive power for his size and was an excellent fielder. All of this cut short because of a cheap shot by Manny Machado. Who in my opinion did not get penalized nearly enough for what he did.
WOW. I never really knew much about him. Watching the Boston game tonight. Started to wonder how his career ended because I didn't really know that either. Always just thought he came across as a cocky d-head. Glad I watched and got to see how good of a guy he is. My apologies to Dustin. Congratulations on your retirement. You're a good man.
I meant Dustin pedroia laser show at a raley's supermarket in Reno Nevada a couple days before Christmas in 2003. He was with his two sons at that time, before the 3rd and I was with my tw one or maybeo sons. He spotted me quickly because I had some Red Sox gear on. We chatted for a little bit and I wished him the best and that was pretty much it. Apparently he was staying with his parents over the holidays and his family wonderful guy. Little did I know how intense he would play in his role with the Red Sox I wish him and his family the very best in life and love.
Rick Flair, when asked to say 'play ball', enters a fugue state. Moments later ('moments' in earthrealm; centuries to him, battling demons in the outlands)- he bursts back into our reality and instinctively says 'WHOOOO'
Right there at the end, did Pedey basically tell the world he was going to manage the red sox after his kids grow up some more? That's certainly what it sounded like
Every year when the Hall of Fame voting begins, I get anxious wondering will Pedey make it? My favorite player growing up was Nomar Garciaparra, but Pedey's a close second for my favorite all-time athlete. I don't want to see him fall off the ballot like Nomar did. I'm predicting he gets in his final year on the ballot, but surviving that first year is going to be TOUGH with a loaded ballot.
I would love to see Peewee come back as a manager for the Red Sox or a fielding coach. I think that would be something special. Especially if he makes it into coopers town beforehand
62 years old and I have seen many players in the MLB.Dustin is by far the hardest worker I have ever seen.Let’s not forget he won the American League MVP in 2008.
We love u Dustin
Yessss sirrrrrrrr we ❤️ DP
Yes we do ❤️🔥

Crap, I'm crying again, I love Peddy so much he'll forever be my favorite. Pedroia forever! RedSox4Life!!

Pedroia’s swing is legendary. He puts everything he has into his swing. So many great memories 😢
I was there during the ceremony on Friday it was a beautiful thing.
Lucky
This summer I might be going to a Red Sox game in Boston
So lucky.
Me too! We drove from Iowa and we managed to get in town just in time to catch the ceremony. So happy to have seen that moment
I was there too
2024 I hope we can get Pedroia for a meet and greet at Polar Park
PEDEY was my favorite Red Sox player I’m crying just watching this
Dustin defied the odds with grit, determination, passion and a genuine love of the great game of baseball. God bless you and your family 🕆
How could not put a smile on you face as the crowd was cheering congrats 🎊 on retirement I ❤️ the RED SOX

Nobody ever played with more heart and determination. If everybody in the world would follow Dustin's lead it would be a much better place 💪💪
Was at the game, brought a tear to my eye. Dustin will be missed in a Sox uniform. Happy to see he’s enjoying retirement with his wife and 3 boys!
As a Seattle fan, tip of the cap to Dustin and his contributions to Boston. Always appreciated the scrappy nature in which he played the game.
Damn bro, I didn’t need to get emotional like that
Pedy has always been my favorite player since i was born
Me too
Dustin Pedroia heart blood sweat and tears on that field he was clutch on offense and defense thank you so much let’s go Red Sox.
A true hall of famer
👎👎😆😅😂🤣☹️💯🙄
I was at the game on Friday where they did the ceremony for Pedroia. We were 20 minutes late and missed the ceremony
😭😭😭
Omg. I am so sorry. That sucks. They won tho🥲
I was there and was on time. You shouldn't have been late.
@@christianlevesque8026 we left at 5:50, then had to walk 20 minutes
@@tatumasg oh that makes sense. Good thing we have technology so we can re watch this moments as many times as we want.

Sooo glad I got to see this! 😭🥰Thanks Red Sox❣️❣️ PEDEY WAS (& IS) THE BEST. All heart and hustle and so appreciated then and now.

Respect from Korea. Thank you Mr.Laser show.
We love you Dustin❤️
Pedroia is a legend. Such a heart and passion for baseball. Plus the man moved around the field like a ninja !!!
Definitely one of the best Red Sox players ever played.
I know your Mom and Dad are so proud of you Dustin. You are a force beyond just the ball field . You are an incredible man. We all miss watching you and your leadership in the game. Congratulations.
Thank you Pedey! True dirtdog and champ on and off the field.
Wow! what a beautiful ceremony that was. Justin is a class act.
Kudos to the Red Sox organization for putting together an amazing tribute to an amazing player!
Thank you Dustin.
one of the most spectacular players I have ever seen, with a huge heart and always giving everything. Thank you Dustin pro give us so much.
Love ya, Pedey!! True clas!s act. Wish you nothing but the best in the new chapter of life. Take care of those boys
Three words for one of the greatest of all time
Hall of fame..
Much love #15
My favorite player who played the game right. Then, now, and forever. 😔
Miss you Pedey.
He still limps from the bad knee. Loved how he played the game.

My favorite baseball player of all time. Dustin Pedroia aka The Lazer Show
Fuck me. I'm bawling 90 seconds in. Thanks for everything Pedey

@@05nursemeg that’s awesome
Don’t ever change Wes, hope to see you in the Bigs with 15 on your back
One of Pedroia’s greatest games was in 2012, simply taking Ground Balls pre-game on his Broken Foot; just to perfect his return weeks later
Thank you Dustin. It was a great ride with you as a fan💕
im a dodger fan and this was amazing true legend of the game

He was a class act his entire career, same as Jeter.
Dustin was my favorite player

Being a Ray's fan this is pretty awesome to watch .
Thank you Dustin
Congrats on a great career. And most of all a beautiful family!
I can’t wait to see him as a manager man

I might be a Yankee fan and have a deep hatred for the Sox, but Ortiz and Pedroia will the only Sox I ever liked. MLB won’t be the same without him
Red Sox are gonna get another WS title
Right there at the end, did Pedey basically tell the world he was going to manage the red sox after his kids grow up some more? That's certainly what it sounded like
His kids are cute

It's crazy seeing jacoby back in a Sox jersey. Pinstripes looked bad on him
17:20 i thought it was Colonel Sanders for a second
