Great vid as always! For the people in the comments saying it’s slow or no work, Tim and his wife along with many others have shared KEY info on how to get work if you’re O/O… direct customers. While you’re sitting around waiting or not doing anything, go b2b and let them know you’re available and offer them your services and ask them to give you a chance and see how things go.
Much appreciated and you stated facts bro! Relationships are super important 💪🏽🙏🏽🫡💯
@@HotshotMacc yessir! Facts that’s already been share by many…Networking does wonders and goes a long ways 💪
Well luckily my home is Florida. So all the rates coming home are pretty good. Getting out of south Florida .. Now that’s another story 🙃
Hell yeah bro! Coming out is when the stress levels are high lol
I deadhead to Savannah almost daily. Too cheap it’s not worth the hassle. Cheap freight always has extra BS with it.
@@HotshotMacc where do I fill application
Completely agree, it’s ok to take a cheap load only if we have an emergency and need to get back home but there should be a limit on how low you willing to charge. Taking cheap loads eventually will affect us all.
Enjoyed the video 💪🏾😎
I really appreciate your videos. I take something from each video you put up. Also I love that setup. It looks really good. God Keep Blessing you , your and your subscribers. Thx
Exactly migo, it’s tuff!!! Keep it pushing my friend!!!
Gracias Alberto 🙏🏽🫡💯
My dispatch does a great job keeping my tires rolling sometimes u gotta take the cheap load ..I had to deadhead from WA to Boise ID to pick up a ford f350 one of our drives was over weight so I’m the guy that they can count on to get the job done …I’m heading to Denver to drop the ford off …stay safe out there people …the weather in Utah and Wyoming sucks lol
I'm so happy for you guys!
Thanks bro! We appreciate it!
Facts on the cheap freight.
Hay brother, this is silver. I'm working with the Underwriters about insurance. Holding me up. Missed out on tree's for Christmas.
Always the best content of hotshot… Always showing us the truth, the good , the bad & the ugly… Macc that load was long bro 😅… Tim a little just for men for those grey spots will doit 😂😂😂😂 jk Great video like always..NO CHEAP FREIGHT 🚛🦾🦾🎯🎯🎯🐐🐐🐐🐐🚛🦈👏🏻
Damn right you have time for tea!
🤣🤣 facts! I gotta slow down sometimes 💯
Should’ve stopped at the Worlds Largest Truck Stop on I80 that place is money
Macc, you know I appreciate all your videos. I'll take cheap if it takes me out of a dead area.
I rather have gas money covered to get out of a area, than digging into my pockets $400-$500 or more to get back to a good area.
My question is why don't you like taken loads 10 feet high?
That’s why you negotiate the better rate in case you have to deadhead quite a ways.
I would guess that the drag from the tall item would cut into your fuel efficiency
the wind drag causes an marked decrease in MPG and reduces profit.
Funny amazon load 1400 lbs turned into 18k and that's a no go bubba lol
Nice rig!
Thanks!
@@HotshotMacc I’m wanting to build an almost identical rig as yours
missed these otr vlogs, want to see the pj 2.0 in a vlog gon get popcorn out and everything
Haha they coming back bro! Definitely can’t Wait to show 2.0 in action. Preciate the support!
The company I drive for is bases out of Richmond, TX. I hope to run into you one day lol
Yessir it’s a small world lol
Them grays is the stress in this business Bro, Big UP....
Yo facts 💯 Appreciate you 🫡
good vid Bro, what's the furthest west you ever went? have you went to Cali yet?
Thank bro! Man the furthest I’ve been has to be Colorado to actually drop a load but I’ve driven through Wyoming and Montana bringing a load up to North Dakota. I usually stay away from the west but might go there soon.
Everyone needs to do that. That will help tell the brokers stop with all the bull shit rates. Lot of people don’t realize the truth on what you guys sacrifice being on the road. You can see it in your girl. She was like f this. It takes a lot out of you to do this than on top of cheap rates and truck problems. That’s why people need to ask for more money for these runs. I am starting to wonder how much these brokers really make off each run. Drivers need to make way more than the broker.
What you call cheap freight. What you call Cheap might not be Cheap to someone else. Its how you run your company every ones over head is not the same. You have renters and owners over head is different for both
Facts but still everyone needs to be considerate of the next man, so why not get more and set the bar high. Thats more profit in the low overheads bank. But I definitely feel you on that.
Yes grab it If you going home The loads are already cheap gotta grind it out just like the poker players do Grind grind grind Survivor of the fittest.....
The more of these videos I see the more I miss my truck driving job home every day gym after work 😂 as soon as I sell my truck I’m out of hotshot hot shot is gross sleeping in my pick up ass cheeks all clammy lower back hurting and I don’t get to go home to my house
My Guy!!!! Amazing work!!!! You must have some type of experience in media; Because the production quality is phenomenal!!! I literally found this video as a reference to start up and your exposure and attitude just got me hyped to start doing this work!!! LEGGGOOOOOO!!!! ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥
Man appreciate that bro!! I pretty much taught myself everything and used to edit my videos for another channel when me and wifey lived on the road in an rv. So definitely had some practice and I’m still learning but definitely thanks for that feedback. And good luck to you man! Glad the videos are helping out! 🙏🏽🫡💯💯💯
If we can just plan Better,💪💯
8am crane appointment and they used a forklift 🙄. Anything to make sure you hurry up with it.
You caught that!? Man I said the same thing after we got empty. The bs is crazy
@@HotshotMacc yeah they do that so you can rush it to them. Didn’t even give you time to catch another load 🤦🏻♂️. I don’t do hot shots anymore but when I did I went thru all that BS man. But I love watching your videos and how you have grown. Plus I also live in H-TOWN 🤘🏼
Hey! Bro how's the shocker hitch working for you? Can you tell the difference with it?
I can definitely tell the difference. Less stress on the drives when loaded and not as much tugging and jerking. I recommend it.
What’s up happy valentine day to you guys which I do for Valentine’s Day?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
Hey brother as someone with a cdl a with tanker, a 10+ year mechanic that can do my own dots, and have tarps, straps and corner covers would it be wise to jump in as hotshot or try doing my own rig with flat bed ? I live in North Dakota but Noone really gives any info up here because people hate giving out info because it takes money out of their pocket.
Man that’s tough sometimes. Like I tell everyone, it depends on you, where your located, your plan, team, relationships, capital, and credit. There will never be a right time and I don’t think I would tell someone not right now. Maybe if you didn’t have a cdl I would say reconsider. We are in tougher times right now but that doesn’t mean its impossible, the risk is just higher. Having your tanker, hazmat end. will give you an advantage. North Dakota is challenging for freight but if your willing to hit the Midwest at first while you build the business and relationships where you are, anything is possible. Just know it all has its ups and downs 🙏🏽🫡💯
don't take the cheapest but its better than rolling empty.
What type of straps are those on the tires?
They are Lasso Straps from mytee products
What do you think about the diamond c 53 foot step deck
get a fontaine if ur gon spend 60k on rolling i beams
I have one. I get rates like a semi. Never under $3 even with this market. You can do 3 partials lol with the load Macc had. So imagine the rate per mile he would’ve had. Its all down to personal preference on set up. I didn’t want a semi so got a 5500 & 53 Step Deck. I get the same rate and I get better Fuel mileage. Now if You want more space to sleep etc, a smoother ride for the tractor and don’t mind a Semi, you can go Semi with a Fontaine. It all comes down to your plan, goals, and budget. Go with what works for you and What you decide at the end. You will be the one driving and paying the debt either way at the end. Hope this helps
What’s up y’all little child doing? I love y’all 2022 dodge ram 3500 Dooley truck I love PJ trailer y’all get there are 2022 PJ Toyota y’all got a 2023 PJ trailer I love those trailers that y’all got there what’s up?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Gotta be a different breed
No doubt about that bro 🙏🏽🫡💯
Hey man what kind of a tow hinch do you put on your 3500 ? I got same truck.
He Has a 5500 I believe.
Yes I have a 5500 and I went with the ball hitch.
How's that's shocker hitch? Can you tell the difference?
Works great bro! Eliminates all the jerking and tugging for me 👌🏽
Shocker is worth the money.
It it ain’t paying the bills of the truck then no.
The market sucks right now!
It does!
Do you use truckstop def or Bluedef only?
Blue Def freezes up north especially in ND it always best to use clear. Once you turn your unit off if it works properly your def should be pushed back into the tank. Even with all that said as a mechanic blue Def is a nightmare for mechanics either busted lines or pump from freezing.
I actually use the Walmart branded def. I used to use blue def but had to cut cost.
@Dustin Thats good to know, thanks for sharing
Hell ya cheap frieght is fuel money
Do you need a CLD for a gooseneck 40 footer ??
Yes and No...yes if over 26klbs truck and tralier GVWR combined....no if under 26k lbs GVWR combined
It depends on the weight category you are in. Operating below 26,001 you don’t need a CDL but do the full research for sure 💪🏽
@I A hit it on the nail!
Hey Mac you not CDL ?
I started out non cdl but now have my CDL
#nocheepfreight
I want to start in January 2024
I’m not cdl
Bruh did you just lick you finger and clean your partial goatee? 😂💀
🤣🤣🤣
Please Don’t do it 🙏
