Whether you're expecting the weather or not always have chains, diesel additive, a shovel, extra blankets, extra food, gloves and a good pair of boots.
And knowledge
And a candle
I should’ve known better 🫡💯
And plug your truck in. It helps
It’s no wonder how our shipping industry is in such bad shape after you hear about what drivers do just to deliver something that keeps us all fed warm/cool and happy. It’s just a mess. Stay safe out there and thank you for what you do to keep us all happy.
I had a similar experience a few weeks ago in Montana. Two days straight of snow packed roads with no plows anywhere. Tire chains went on three separate times, and it all ended with frozen air lines and empty airbags in Jackson Wyoming. Cancelled our last load to go straight home with no suspension. Finally got things thawed out in the shop at home. It really put me on the fence about my air ride trailer… but when it’s good it’s really good.
You ever thought about putting a alcohol injector?
Whenever I know I'm about to hit freezing weather esp with snow/ice, I ALWAYS leave my tool box unlocked because you will be shit out of luck once it freezes over. I learned that the hard way!
In our minds we always have good intentions, but we tend to postpone the action of the Intent. I have learned the hard way as well. Family and loved ones is my reason for doing this so I put them first when possible so I don't have another regret.
Airbags need wash because dust and small rocks they scratch airbags when lift up and down !!! And spray with silicone that helps rubber
Good to know! Much appreciated 🫡💯
@@HotshotMacc also in winter time door rubbers also need to grease with silicone
It's hell frozen over that's exactly what it's like to be hot shot trucking during the winter try trucking in The Dakotas or Minnesota you'll find out what winters really like a very good piece of advice to everyone out there driving a diesel please carry a winterizer/Anti-Gel with you in the winter time and use it every fill up! it'll keep you from getting stranded and use it no matter what the weather's like
Just leased on today, first load was only 40 miles deadhead from Eau Claire, Wisconsin..And yes it started snowing as soon as I hit I94. Getting $2.63 a mile -25% to eastern Pennsylvania. I worked in -45 C outside Ironworking in Canada, looks warm in Kansas! Lol. Stay safe Macc
God bless ❤ that storm was nasty!!! I picked up in Sandusky Ohio a few hrs before it got bad and ran out of time in Youngstown. Fueled up and unplugged the eld and drove another 10 hrs to central ma. Got home at 5 am Friday morning, delivered to Logan airport (Boston) Saturday morning at 6 then back home, dropped my trailer. Celebrated Christmas the next day then flew to Cancun and just got back today 😂😂
Macc, that dispatcher tho!😂 Glad y’all made it outta there. That winter storm was no joke, it shook the whole US. I gotta say man, I’m diggin that new trailer my guy. Real tuff 💪🏼
Appreciate that brotha!! My dispatcher outta control man lmao! And yeah bro that storm was no joke!
Riding wit you since the start motivating me to start my own trucking business getting to that paper 💚💚
Dude that load looked SO SKETCHY!!
It did!
It is good to see you with a CB. There are so many hotshots out without one. They are definitely a time saver!!!
Great content! You guys putting in that work and I love it!!
Drove logging truck in Northern canada for years. Sometimes we dont shut trucks off for weeks. Always carry airline antifreeze and sometimes need to put in at the compressor to push through and thaw. Works for locks too. Its methylhydrate with brake fluid basically for lubrication.
or poor hot coffee on you metal fittings
Man I appreciate that advice from you! 🙏🏽🫡
Always carry a torch
💯
That’s why I don’t even mess with the cold/snow. Even if they’re paying better, not worth it. Hate then cold. Plus salt, doing all that in the cold, etc. No thanks fam.
This is one of the few channels that I truly enjoy watching none of that click bait, none of that posting swift, accidents and deaths in the industry just to get viewers 👀
A hard working couple doing their thing salute king blessing to you, your lady and much success
Bless Up🤞🏾🖤
I try to stay away from that man and just keep it real! Not here to steer anyone in the wrong direction. Appreciate the love and support 🙏🏽🫡🫡💯💯
Your not kidding. This guys seems real. Not all that click n bait shit. One thing I can’t stand is when hot shot guys look at other hot shots and they make a video of why or what they think went wrong. Why do it. Just let them do what they do. Who cares if they make mistakes. You don’t make a video about them. Unless you guys come to an agreement.
🤣🤣I totally feel ya @11:55 it happens to the best of us...... Stay warm and STAY SAFE!
My condolences bro of your family member sorry to hear about that I'm that cold blast was super dangerous caught some ppl off guard that didn't have a chance to check the forecast that four days that the storm was around i stayed inside the whole time I'm glad you and mrs macc made it out there safely I'm when it's super dangerous cold close and below 0 with the wind leave your airbags full instead of dumping out your Air and same with semi truck trailer in that type of weather they don't dump out trailer brakes air because they will freeze up thanks for the video and you and Mrs Macc be safe out there 👍🚛
Sorry for your loss
May your family have peace
My condolences to you and the family 🙏 … keep your head up and stay positive. Man you guys beastin up that new setup 💪
The setup sick💪🏾
Thanks bro 🫡💯
Winter trucking is so hard on equipment. Last winter with a brand new 2022 pj trailer. The sand and salt on the roads beat up the trailer and even sandblasted the paint right off. Dirt roads to labrador you name it. Winter is dread for a dread. Lol hp haulers
It definitely is! I give to ya’ll for getting it done up there in Canada! Much love to you guys 🫡💯
Great content! Very nice setup! All those ac unites was a nice load!
Sorry for your loss.
That cold snap was brutal. Sorry for your family's loss. Stay safe.👍 Dispatcher should buy you lunch.🤣
Appreciate it brother and yeah man it was COLD! She made it up with sone breakfast in bed 🤣
I'm proud of u what your doing, the thing is tour not begging as an old trucker keep striving,
Appreciate that boss 🫡💯
Sorry bout your loss Macc. Stay warm out there looks like I may be getting truck back Friday. I'm so ready to get back out there cold or not. I enjoy the road
I appreciate that brother!! Hope your back up and running now! Definitely stay warm out there 🫡💯
@@HotshotMacc yea back out here rolling again in omaha for the night. Hope things are going good for you
I’m not sure if you know about the deicer in a can. Works great for thawing out locks. Come in a can you can find it at truck stops or parts stores and I’m sure even on line. Just for future reference. Enjoy the videos and info!
I didn’t know about that bro so I definitely appreciate the tip…ill definitely need it this upcoming winter! Thanks for the support!
Might want to pickup some Hotshot Secrets winter diesel treatment and start adding some to each tank of diesel for the rest of winter.
Yessir, I keep hotshot secret on me always and during the winter depending on how cold ill also have some Howes on me as well 🫡💯
A plumbers torch is handy, air line antifreeze. Those temps are hard on equipment.
Appreciate those tips!
Sorry for your loss
Like the music selection too.
Thanks!
Sorry for ur loss man. U got a sexy truck n trailer.
Much appreciated bro 🫡💯
Saludos macc y feliz año nuevo muy bonito equipo de trabajo está muy bien el trailers
That same s*** happened to me in Minnesota You gotta drain the water out of the air compressors about every 5 days
I’m learning bro! Appreciate it!
Beast mode 💪🏾💪🏾
Condolences to you and your family Tim. I was born and raised in Houston and I too hate the extreme cold temps. Still ;ive just outside Houston. I recently retired from Houston PD and have gotten into RV transport, but looking to hotshot possibly to cut the number of dead head miles. When you have to drive to Indiana just to start making money it becomes costly and cuts into profit. Hope you guys had a great holiday season..
Appreciate you Allen and thanks for your service. Yeah I know a few ppl in the RV lane and just don’t know how the deadhead miles makes sense but it’s definitely a lane to start in.
@@HotshotMacc Imight be making a change soon. I got my CDL last Thursday!!
My condolences for loss. 😞
Thanks! 🙏🏽🫡💯
Sorry about you guys loss.
Definitely appreciate fam! Day 1 🫡💯
Very good video. Sorry for you and your family loss

You work hard out there like always man .. sorry about the lost of your cousin … You are a wonderful person and will get thru anything…. MACC LOGISTICS IS TRYLY THE BEST 🦍🐐🚛💯🦈🦾🚀🚀🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
It was crazy bro, I wish we recorded more but it was too intense at times. But definitely glad we made it out of there safe! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🫡🫡💯💯💯
Yoo I need some edge protectors!!! Stay safe bro
My condolences Mac. Keep your head up bro and try 😢😢
Thanks bro, it’s been tough but we’re pulling through 🙏🏽🫡💯
I had all them troubles with my air ride. Get/have air line antifreeze
My condolences to you and your family. ❤
Much appreciated my brother 🫡💯
Do you Dump your air tanks at the end of each day? Super important when you're in humid places. I bet that humidity got all water in your air system and then it froze solid when you were having a bad time in Arctic hell.
Glad you made it safe brother! I saw the carnage from that storm after when I was headed east through Kansas. Saw at least 10 totalled semis and axles just sitting on the side of road from trucks.
I don’t usually dump my tanks I just cut off the switch when it sits then bleed the tank when I’m back at it. But good point I might do that.
And yeah we saw about 10 trucks on the side of the road spun out 🙏🏽 that storm was wild!
much love bro , i lost my bro in 2021, its not easy !
It isn’t bro! Stay strong my guy 🙏🏽🫡💯
Question: I wonder if a butane type lighter on the toolbox lock would have heated things up enough for it not to break?
It most definitely would have saved me on having to break it open!
I could use them corner protectors...!!!!
My condolences to you and your family
I appreciate that brother
In the extreme sub zero temperatures you never use your locks. You do use your locks on the cab of your truck but that's it. Keys break off to easy
I didn’t even think twice about it but I know now lol where were you before I got into that situation 🤣🫡💯
@@HotshotMacc and for the locks on the cab of your truck. They make a special antifreeze for your door locks. So spray that in your door locks so you can get in and out of your truck
yooo you delivered those concrete forms to my old job right off henrico rd in conley lol... i still dont miss that place hahaha ! i recognized it instantly and the ppl haha - Hotshot SHorty
LMAOOO they dont even unload no damn trucks at 7 LMFAO we didnt even start unloading til 7:30 or 8 lmfao
Lol small world man that’s crazy!!!
Yeah I been to the spot on apple dr I remember the wait time was crazy and that plastic always come off the Ac unit but they always got loads and they let u load late
Yup! That plastic be the worse! I left outta there super late
Perhaps you are not acustom to extreme cold weather. Always carry chains and a way to spray the door locks to prevent them from freezing. On another note, I saw a cup holder you were using with your tablet what brand it is. I hope you read this and let me know.
I’m definitely not accustom to those types of temperatures at all. Think that was my first time feeling what -31 feels like. But definitely gotta get those things on deck just in case.
And the iPad holder is called the “Macally Cup Holder Tablet Mount”
You can find it in my store of essential trucking items on amazon. I have the link in my description 👌🏽
Thanks for tuning in 🫡💯
Keep you the NOCO jump starter in yhr truck that thing is a beast I use it to jump semis off
Yeah I definitely gotta get one of those 🫡💯
Noco GB150 or bigger for the diesels.
My condolences to you and your family.
Keep working hard you always find a way and we all learn from it, so thank you! Sending you blessings. 🙏
Much appreciated Eric and glad you find the content helpful 🙏🏽🫡💯
Condensation in the air compressor can also freeze up
Facts, I’m glad that didn’t happen 😮💨
You should have a block heater on that rig..
They come with it
I work at carrier fabrication in Indiana. Shit real sensitive on the inside lol
Bruh 🤣🤣🫡🫡💯
Yessir‼️🛻💨💨💨💨💯
More options...MORE PROBLEMS!!! learn your equipment!
If there is something I hate in the world, its winter. Ice, snow, salt, rocks and sand on the road. Nope, nope, nope.
Lol it’s the worst!
Hey brother how did you air up your bags
Hey bro, man on this run I was barely able to until I got back down south and had my dealership heat everything up. The trailer was prepared for freezing temps at the time.
Htown checking in with you Bro
Already my guy 🫡💯💯
Where I can get towing mirrors for 2023 ram 5500
I can’t think of anywhere other than the dealership
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🫡🫡💯💯
It ain't that cold until you wear what he's wearing...!!!
🤣🤣
Been sitting for a month now because no loads. that’s what it’s really like guys
Those straps sound like cracker 😂😂 export soda
I thought they were gonna just break 🤣
Hey Macc Question for you, with the 5500 and the new PJ, are you over length?
I’m 72’9”. With the chassis setup, I’m registered as a tractor so I’m not over length 🙏🏽
That's the problem with these hotshot air ride trailers they're not mad like 48ft trailers
Huh? Shits beast...complete operator error.
Do you hire owner operator with non-CDL setup?
Not right now bro.
@@HotshotMacc thanks for reply
Damn I was just there
Small world bro 💯💯💯 I ended up back there like just the other day after this trip 🤣
Yaw made it
My condolences bro. I'm from wichita, we left that night to KC and hit the ice on 35 around emporia . Crazy night for sure.
Thank you bro!! Man that corridor on the 35 was crazy!! Glad your safe!
How is the signal booster working out for you?
I haven’t been out far enough to get the chance to use it yet but I will soon
