I had a similar load, the guy at the shipper put a pallet on top of the drums, that way i could strap across the pallet instead of the drums themselves, made it a lot easier.
Im gonna have to do it that way and if they don’t want to do it then I’m not taking it lol

I found the best way to secure these loads for me is to put a pallet on the top then strap it down. I haul a lot of grease barrels and I gotta have them put pallets over the top.

Thanks bro! Yeah man the virus had me out for a couple days man. I have a couple herniated discs so I need to definitely watch my body mechanics but thankfully I’m all good now and back in motion. Having the tools saved me some money for sure 🙏🏽

I had something similar too this coming out of Dallas.. the worst load ever I had to buy 2 straps for each one to keep the entire thing from falling.. the way these things are secure with only plastic covering is crazy..

Been hauling reels like that for a long time bro, no fun. You did good. I can give a few suggestions if you want?

Run a single strap over the center of each set of reels. First put a notch on the outside of each of the top reels in the very center. Run your strap over the center and the notch will hold your strap as long as the notch is centered. Then you can run a second strap either over the frontside or backside of the pallet making sure to catch the lip of the bottom reel. I usually do the frontside on the front set of pallets and backside on the rear pallets. If your trying to use to many angled straps on round reels the tighter you get them the faster they fly off. I hope this makes sense! I love your stuff!
The same amount you're spending for diesel gas down in Texas is how much regular gas cost in Southern Illinois. I'm sure it cost a little bit more than that in Northern Illinois up by Chicago

I can possibly do a video on that. But I’m not fully understanding what it is your looking for? I usually dump my bags and tank if my trailer is gonna be sitting for more than a day or two
@HotshotMacc meaning like if i have to dump the air before i load it, one of the stickers on the trailer says do not load with air in the airbags and if theres like a chart where the psi should be for different weight. I know Diamond c they put a chart with loads and psi. But im probably overthinking it. Thanks for the reply hopefully i see that nice set up on the road God bless!!
@@ezurmnd I am a tanker driver, I load up to 50k pounds. Let the air out before loading. If there's air in it, the added weight can rupture your bags
