My fiancee and I are about to invest In this business and do a team just like you guys. I'm wondering if with insurance costs and fuel right now being high. Is the price per mile there for me to make an honest living? I will have low over head because I will own the truck and trailer.
It really will depend on your overhead, your set up (non cdl or cdl) how you are going to operate whether you are soley depending on the load boards or you have relationships to direct brokers/shippers. There’s a lot that goes into it so definitely do your due diligence and know your numbers before getting out here. Oh and make sure you have a good reserve.
I have a habit of going into things head first, so I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row before making any rash decisions. I guess I'll get my cdl first and sit on.
