I got to my car and walked back in so uncomfortably fast to let them know 😂😂😂😂 I don’t know how people are fine with making the wrong decisions constantly, I felt awful lol

BITD, my friend and I and her 4 yr old went shopping at KMart. After we walked out we realized her son had grabbed a hat and was wearing it! We both turned around and went right back in to confess, sure that we were going to jail. The supervisor laughed, said it was fine and waved us out without paying.
I still feel guilty.

There isn’t an adult person in America that goes their whole life without committing a crime. They just don’t get caught or the crime is extremely minor like jaywalking etc.

In 2010 it was estimated that 8.1% of adults had felony convictions. That will drop drastically with the decriminalization of marijuana and the loosening of gun laws.

I know some people think working at Taco Bell or McDonalds is not cool but there are perks to working fast food places. Find a fast food place that has what you like on the menu. I went to Arbys the other day and when I went to the counter the manager and employees were working, filling orders but they were singing and dancing to the songs on the radio. It was fun to watch them. They were rocking it out behind the counter.
I wish more people could have fun at work. Even if a job was not what I wanted I always loved my jobs❤

"Let's him out again?" She sentenced him to serve 120 days. He has served his debt to society. Jail/prison isn't to reform people, it is to punish. Once sentencing requirements have been completed, it is over.

It is absolutely normal for people witt criminal histories to be held to a higher standard or get harsher penalties. That’s how the system works. Otherwise, what’s the incentive to stay out of trouble at all?

He didn't get 120 days for the gram of weed, he got that from the underlying case he was out on bond when he got caught with the gram of weed in his sock.. at least thats how I understood it, the gram of weed was a bond violation for underlying case he was out on bond..

If all his felonies are drug related (considering he said he has 2 strikes, I believe that implies he doesn't have a lot of violent felonies), he could have collected a bunch of them over a few times over the years (like 10 felonies at 18yo and got 5 years for each all to run concurrently), then similar situation again at 25yo, then again at 30yo, etc etc.

It’s wild watching this from a state where I can go down to the store, show my ID, and buy some marijuana. There are literally cops there directing traffic and where to park to buy marijuana too lol. Even before it was legal here it was decriminalized for a while so it would be like paying a traffic ticket. But whereever this is, “Do you plead guilty” is just so much different it’s crazy states can be that different.
Put a calendar in front of the yawning man, & count the days together. Starting December & ending in January has never in life required 120 days.

I have spent many of St. Patrick's Day in Chicago and have always loved when they color the Chicago River. My cousins last name is Cullen and my uncle was a Irish cop up there so we used to have a blast but it's been a few years so it's time for a trip back up there for next year.

This prosecutor wants to nail anyone he can for the maximum. The judge clearly said be careful, but he asked again in case she wanted to change her mind. He asked for 30 days in jail on an expired tag ticket where the kid didn’t even own the car or know it was expired. If I recall correctly.
Due to the type of court system we have, that is how it is conducted. We have an adversarial system in the US, so one side asks for the most, one asks for the least, each explains why they are right, and the judge weighs both sides like a sliding scale.
